Lots of different stalls and well worth a look around. Items are quite expensive but it’s nice to walk around and browse.
Love this place. Many shops with local products. Nice place to take a break while visiting Munich. To drink a beer and eat some Bavarian Food outside is a good way to explore the "Way of Bavarian Living".
My husband and myself have had a weeks city break in Munich. We have visited the Viktualienmarkt here every day. Lots of stalls selling, food, beer, memorabilia, plants, drink, ice-creams, meat, street entertainers and lots more. We love it! A must do if you're in Munich.
Viktualienmarkt is an open market where you can buy lots of different kinds of food. Full of beautiful people. There is a Biergarten area and restaurants around it.
We enjoyed this open market very much as it was very vibrant. Shops were selling different kinds of vegetables, produce, cheese, ham, spices, etc. It was just fascinating looking at these fresh produce.
There were also food shops and bier garten serving beer, sausages, etc. Lots of food to try.
This is one of the must visit places in Munich.
