Emotions by Hodelpa Resort is a perfect Place to stay in, either for family or couples. All staff/employees are very pleasant. We met great servers at the Café/ Buffet restaurant. To mention in particular - Juana Martinez who made sure she regularly checks our table to see if everything was okay and if we need any refills of drinks or making sure she clears the plates in a timely manner. The restaurant is constantly full, but she always wears her lovely smile despite the business of the place. Such a lovely and pleasant young lady. Another to mention is Roberto, a little older guy, but is very pleasant, attentive, with a great ability to hustle with such ease.

The rooms are cleaned, and sheets are replaced everyday. It is a nice gesture to give them simple $1 tip each day. It felt very safe with all your things in the room and of course using the safe for you valuable is quite handy and useful. One comment ‘though, the washroom window in our room was see through compared to other bathroom window which are smoked glass. So, we resorted to covering it with toilet tissue -it was room 22201. Overall, the staff/employees are pleasant and knowledgeable.

Pools are great but we spent most of our time in the beach, to mention with great food at the Beach Resto as well. The ala carte restaurants are Mexican, Dominican and the Italian. For our taste, Italian was the best. You need to make sure you book a reservation at the Guest Service. The Bar was great. Our favourite was the Mojito. Make sure to try this – choice of ‘with alcohol or non-alcohol.’

We flew with Sunwing and met an impressive representative at the resort - Bernie Benitez. We booked all our excursion with him. Great tip, it would be nice if you travel with large group as you are able to avail affordable excursions - meaning you can bargain for lower rates. Bernie is the man!
