Absolutely a must go place to support the place, the people and most importantly the beautiful and lovely cute little ones! Whether you are a dog or cat lover or not, go and have a visit and if you have time you can even volunteer for a day or more. Donation is up to you and no one will ever force you to donate anything.

This place is incredible. The staff are lovely. You can tell all the dogs are loved and looked after. They’re all so happy. They accomodate the dogs so well depending on their needs. They have them in size ranges, age, and needs. The sanctuary is beautiful and big. And we got to play with some of the dogs. We bought some items to help support them since they offer free tours. Next time I’m in Thailand I will volunteer here. Thankyou Ghan for the tour!

I spent a week volunteering with Soi Dog and it was the best ending to my trip. The staff is amazing and so thoughtful, and you can tell that you've entered a place where love and care is in abundance. I had an amazing time meeting dogs of all ages, sizes, breed and needs and taking them out on walks and (those who loved it) to the sanctuary's pool. It's beautiful watching dogs and cats who were treated so badly before being saved to thriving in this sanctuary and loving human contact. I am so thankful for all the work Soi Dog is doing for Asia's dogs and cats - they work hard despite the hardships they face in helping these animals have a better chance in life. I will continue supporting them through donations and sponsoring, and will hopefully be back to volunteering again soon! I encourage everyone who has time to spare while visiting/living in Phuket to visit Soi Dog and meet the lovely souls who live here. Sidenote - It's hard not to have any favourites while volunteering here but Butterboy stole my heart. I hope he finds his forever home soon x

I first visited Soi Dog in 2017 for 1 week and since then every year I have been back, now with my partner. I normally volunteer for a week or two sometimes full day or half days. It’s just a fantastic Charity & Shelter. The staff & fellow volunteers are so friendly and the dogs are just amazing. Would recommend you visit and strong recommend you volunteer for a few days as you’ll never regret it and like me will probably keep coming back.

We spent 2 days volunteering here whilst in Phuket - with having a rescue dog myself and being big animal people it was on the top of our ‘to do’s’ whilst here. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, you could really tell they were excited to have volunteers helping out! The whole experience was just so good, obviously upsetting at some parts seeing what a lot of the dogs & cats have been through before Soi Dog taking them in, but when you see all the work, care and love that goes into each animal and how far so many of them have come it just shows how much of an amazing job they’re all doing. If you’re visiting Phuket please add this to your time here, it’s helping out an amazing organisation but also helping out the animals they have, so many get so excited when you take them out their walk & just want to play and be loved and this also helps many of them with their journey to getting a forever home! Thank you to everyone at Soi Dog for having us we will definitely be back! Special shout out to Chrissie & her team for the work they do in the volunteering space - everything was so coordinated & you all made us feel at home!

What an amazing job Soi Dog do! We spent a very enjoyable (albeit emotional) few hours at Soi Dog - 1600 dogs and 1400 cats in care the day we visited, and I wish I could have adopted some of them but due to Australia's quarantine laws that just wasn't possible. It seems like one dog in every 4 was missing a limb but they are in a safe place now just waiting for their forever homes. Next time we go I will do a few days volunteering. Absolutely no hard sell for donations but it was too hard to leave without shrinking the bank balance a bit!

What a fantastic organisation Soi Dog Foundation is! We were so impressed with the set up and amazing rescue work they do making the world a better place for abused, neglected, sick, stray street animals. We volunteer at rescue organisations in Australia and it their set up was way better and completely exceeded our expectations. Such an incredible experience, extremely well organised and clean. Had the opportunity to see and spend time with the most beautiful dogs and cats and did a tour of their fantastic facilities. A must see visit for any animal lovers who are keen to volunteer, donate or just find out more about the wonderful work Soi Dog do. Highly recommend!

I do volunteer work in Australia with abused dogs, and I can honestly say Soi Dog Foundation puts all others to shame. The facility is brilliant, volunteers are amazing, the dogs and cats look very well looked after and the tour is a really interesting experience! This is truely a very special place that does amazing work! You need to visit Soi Dog if you are in Phuket, you will not be disappointed.

Their amazing dedication and depth of their commitment is incredible as well as the scale of their operation – over 1,000 dogs. Their meticulous organization of everything, including the volunteers, is impressive. There is a genuine camaraderie and sense of purpose that binds everyone at Soi Dog Foundation and even if you volunteer for just two days, you feel a part of this exceptional community. I am truly honored to have been a part of their journey, even if for a brief period. Support Soi Dog!
