We travelled a lot and stayed in a lot of hotel. Never in my life I will experience this, staff knocked on our door and accusing us that we made so much noise and come to think of it, we we’re just watching a movie. A guest below us complained. I hope they will ask us nicely enough and instead of accusing us, they can asked nicely. Don’t stay in this hotel. Worst experience ever and I usually never complain but this is too much.

The Canalta is a good clean place to stay in a small town. The amenities were as expected. The room was clean and neat, without any weird smells or stains. The bed was adequately comfortable with soft cotton sheets and the right amount of coverings.

I/we Stay here two to three times a year. The rooms are always super clean. The Bathrooms big and functional. The fridge was even cold so our items we refrigerated immediately . The breakfast is great. There is Easy room access. This is The best hotel and it is staffed with the best staff ever! Also The assistant manager rocks!

Wow, what a change since the last time I stayed there three years ago! The newly renovated rooms are very nice and were very clean. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay there again!

Perfect hotel when in the St Paul area. Kitchenettes have stove top, microwave and fridge - all utensils, pots, pans and dishes provided. Lots of space in the room, very clean and a soaker tub in the bathroom.

My husband and I were overwhelmed with the wonderful reception given to us when we arrived at Canalta Hotel in St Paul Alberta. We were celebrating our 50th wedding Anniversary. With the help of a dear friend and Amanda who works in the hotel they had a Beautiful Anniversary Cake set on a table under gold placemats, a bottle of white wine, wine glasses, gold plates and napkins, a gorgeous vase with gold and orange color roses and a lovely Anniversary card, We were so overjoyed I burst into tears of happiness. To have Amanda set this up just for us was the absolute best surprise one could ever ask for. Thank you for making our last days in Alberta one to never be forgotten and cherished forever, We were in room 125 on the lower level with an access door to the parking which was great! The room was more than we ever expected. A beautiful king size bed, a lovely desk and drawer combination, nice TV with so many stations movies and all, a fridge, Coffee maker top of the line! a huge bathroom with walk in shower, and on the sink which I have never seen was a special wipe for cleaning messy spills and makeup remover wipes so you didn't spoil the wash cloth which can be rough on the face. I was so impressed with these little but wonderful ideas. The room was immaculate a rug that looked like new, not a trace of dust anywhere not ever the top of the bed frame which is often missed by the cleaning staff. I stress this because I suffer from many allergies and for the first time in a long time I was able to breathe and sleep so well through the night. We had a free breakfast every morning which was constantly replenished, Good coffee and free refreshments and popcorn all day and night in the lounge. Getting back to breakfast, the array was fantastic, Waffles, muffins, toast and jams and peanutbutter, muffins you name it, boiled eggs, hot plates with eggs, sausage, bacon, home fry potatoes, orange and apple juice. Unbelievable in our opinion.and wonderful coffee. The staff and management were outstanding and should be highly commended for keeping such a clean establishment. Our room was cleaned and replenished every day of our stay by lovely warm and friendly staff. Thank you. We had a lovely time in St.Paul and would love to come back again sometime. I also would like to say. I purchased a special gift for my husband which was delivered to the front desk while we were out visiting. The gentleman I purchased the gift from was quite concerned I would not get my parcel. We arrived back much later than expected and when we arrived back the manager handed me my package with a big smile. I knew there was nothing to worry about. I had to send an email to the gentleman letting him know all was well getting a text from him about his concerns. Canalta Hotel is a fantastic hotel to stay at and I highly recommend visiting We will always remember how wonderful everyone was to us and can not thank you enough for helping to make our 50th Anniversary so complete. I had a great room on the 3rd floor. Impeccably clean. Very comfortable. Reception and housekeeping staff were welcoming and helpful.
i was disappointed not to find a mini-safe in the room.
For the price, I would love to see more fresh fruit at breakfast, and maybe some yogurt.
I would definitely recommend.

We do offer yogurt with fresh berries or granola everyday from 6am-10am it is a daily component that is available at the continental breakfast. We have a mini fridge that is filled with yogurt. Also, we have do have a basket of fresh fruit containing, oranges, apples and pears on the breakfast table available all day. We are sorry that you missed these options that were available for breakfast. On your next visit, please ask any of us and we would be more than happy to help you locate them. Stayed this weekend and wasn’t overly impressed. Had called to upgrade our reservation three weeks prior and upon arriving the change wasn’t made. Asked if we could still upgrade and the front desk clerk said he didn’t think so. Asked if we could get a cot to accommodate the change and he wouldn’t be able to look until 11pm because he was the only one there. Called down to front desk for extra blankets and again was told he was the only one there so we would have to come and get them. We had our one son sleep on two of the chairs in the room for the night. The next morning asked if we were able to upgrade or get a cot. The new front desk clerk said she wasn’t sure why they wouldn’t have done it the night before. I went out to my vehicle by the time I came back in, the cot was in our room. However, we did have to remove the mattress from the cot because the frame didn’t fit anywhere in our room. The cable tv went out that night as well. My only suggestion would be to have more staff upon check in enabling them to provide better customer service. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, the pool and water slide were great. Staff were nice but again I would suggest having additional staff to support the volume of customers.

A nice stay. Stove-top and dishes included in unit along with microwave and fridge.. Comfortable beds.We asked and recieved a free cot. Friendly staff. Pool and hot tub were excellent and well maintained.
Breakfast needs work though. First morning they had boiled eggs and hashbrowns, waffles. Usual array of cereals and muffins and yogurt. No sausages.
Strangely , the next morning there were no hashbrowns or eggs. Just bagels, waffles, bread or cereal. So if you enjoy getting bloated to start the morning this was the way to go. Many who saw that went to McDonalds next door.
Plus the breakfast area is adjacent to the front entrance sliding doors. It was very cold and drafty.

On sunday we really enjoy serving freshly made waffles with Fresh berries topped with whip cream. These are great for the entire family. Sounds like you were able to enjoy the swimming pool, hot tub and water slide. This is fun for everyone also. In case you did not notice we also pop fresh popcorn for all of our guests to enjoy. Had an automobile accident where there were no vehicle rentals available - was recommended to stay at this hotel by Al's Towing company who was so helpful to me. Staff at hotel was awesome! Next morning still could not get a rental car so management at hotel had staff member drive me back to Edmonton for just the cost of fuel. Very nice young man....can't thank him enough and management for being unbelievably helpful. Thank you so much - would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Lou H
