Quiet hotel. Decent stay. OK staff. Carpets are a bit dirty in the rooms but it's tough to keep them clean when your biggest clients are oilfield workers. Workers have respect for other hotel guests since they are on shift work and try to sleep during the day too. After having a great hot breakfast at Pomeroy Brand hotel the night before in another town, I was disappointed with Super 8 free breakfast: cold boiled eggs, sugar cereal, sugared oatmeal, sugar pastries, sugared waffles - no other hot items. I had toast and peanut butter as there was not a lot of non-sugar choices. Although, there is a McD right next door if you're really hungry for something without sugar. Otherwise, decent hotel and quiet - most important of all.

Recently renovated, clean, friendly staff. Free breakfast has a really nice selection with a homemade feel. Rooms with the little kitchenettes are great for long stays. Gym is pretty impressive. Pool is a bit heavy on the chlorine but a nice set up including hot tub and slide. My expectations were exceeded.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your most recent stay. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found some down time to use a few of our amenities. When you visit again, be sure and try out the games room, it is fun for everyone. Pick up a bag of fresh popped popcorn when you pass thru the lobby, it makes a nice light snack in between meals. Again, thank you for staying at the Canalta in St.Paul we value and appreciate your business. We shall look forward to your return. Take Care and Have a Great Day!

This hotel is currently under renos to make it better.

Not sure when they'll be done them but coz of that parking is kinda limited at least for a good spot.

Neil was awesome checking in was a breeze.

I didn't get a chance to get to the pool.

Free breakfast in the morning is good.

Beds were good and rooms clean. Could use new flooring tho as its getting kinda dated but like I said the place is under renos.

Was worried when booking to find this was one of the only hotels in town. Sometimes small town hotels are run-down or left to deteriorate. I was very surprised. Stayed with co-worker and hotel was very clean and obviosly well-cared for. Good bed, pillows, ect. Free breakfast. Good pool and excersize room. Decent parking. Hotel seems to be very full during the week. I imagine that is because it is the most well-maintained. Bathroom was a little small and had a issue with water presure and hot/ cold temperatures. This will probably still be my first coice when I return.

I really enjoyed my stay at CanAlta Hotel in St. Paul. The rooms are completely renovated and offer a microwave, stove top and fridge in the standard room. I'm short so I love being able to use the shelf above the closet shelf which is too high in all other hotels. The bathroom comes standard with safety rails which are placed in such a manner that you can also use them to hang up your swimming suit without dropping all over the bathroom. The air con/heat unit is internally wired to a thermometer so adjusting room temperature is great. The free breakfast extends well beyond continental with hot breakfast burritos, hot sausage, waffles, cold hard-boiled eggs and fresh muffin. Keurig coffee machines in the room and a coffee bar is in the lobby . The price is more than I wanted to pay but when you factor in the family waterslide and huge breakfast, we probably saved money over the three days we were there. Great service from the general manager who was happy to contact me at home with responses to my inquiries at the time of booking. Disability friendly hotel.
