We stayed for 3 nights, staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites were pretty spacious, we had a pull through which was a plus as we are towing a 27 ft camper, not driving an rv, so backing into a space can pose a challenge sometimes (still kinda newbie at this). They have wood and ice for sale on site and some other items available for sale. Short walk down the street leads to a nice rocky beach area covered in mussels shells. Its all uphill coming back, so those with mobility problems should opt to drive-there’s free parking at the beach). There was literally no one on the beach when we went and you can walk a good way around the water. There’s also a small cemetery you pass on the way with some pretty old graves, (including one of a young tail gunner shot down over Germany in WWII) which always interests me. Our circle of sites was full but it was very quiet, particularly at night. I do wish they kept the laundry room open later, (it’s only open during office hours, so opens at 8 am and closes at 8 pm). The dryers are turbo and will have a load dry in less than 20 minutes - but can be hard to squeeze in laundry if you’re occupied during the day sightseeing. Bar Harbor and Acadia are less than a 20 minute drive from the campground. The restaurants in Bar Harbor are amazing. Price at this campground is also much less than the water front KOA across the highway (which also looks really nice but also pretty expensive). If we ever get up that way again we’d definitely come back.

Stayed in one of their cabins for two nights. We had stayed here in 2013 and enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Bathroom with metered shower ($.50 for seven minutes) was adequate and had hot water. No linens or supplies furnished but we were camping and this worked well. They have a full campground but we have only stayed in cabins. There were a lot of RVs in other areas and the operation seemed well run.

Stayed for 3 nights. We rented a car at the airport. No sewage hookups, and honeywagon service is not included. Nice pool. Needs more washers and dryers for amount of people staying there. That was an ordeal. Quiet. Nice basketball court. Great lobster place across the highway that will deliver. Highly recommend that!!!

Staff was outstanding. Campsite was clean, patrolled regularly by staff but not intrusive at all. Not many full septic sites however campsite provided a honey wagon at a reasonable fee for black and gray water disposal. One of the best campsites we’ve stayed at….highly recommend.

The staff is fantastic! When I made the reservation, the woman I spoke to helped me pick a great tent site based on what I told her about my needs. Her recommendation suited our need for tree cover and neighbor visual privacy. Upon arrival, the check-in process is efficient. The camp office answered all of our questions and made sure we could access what we needed. The campground is fairly quiet and the 10 PM quiet hours are strictly enforced. After a day of biking, hiking, kayaking, a quiet bedtime is much appreciated.

We stayed here 7 nights while visiting Acadia NP and Bar Harbor -- awesome location for both. We lucked out with our campsite as we were towards the back of the park. Felt the sites had more room and it was quieter. There is a pool at the front of the park with a loop around the pool for RVers. Not our thing - was glad we weren't there. It was quiet for us and we had no issues with our stay. Also, they have onsite propane refills and we needed that! Very reasonable, worked out great. The laundry facility came in handy as well. Staff was very nice and helpful. We'd stay here again should we be back to this area.

We like to tent camp in the National Parks but since that is not allowed at this time, we found this campground. Nice location. We arrived late, but they did not seem annoyed when we had a late check in. That was appreciated. Our campsite was nice, C-17, and we had no neighbors. We only use campgrounds for sleeping as we are out and busy all day, so we did not use other facilities they offered. I could see the laundry room that seemed nice. Many kids were on bikes and I saw people playing basketball. I would definitely stay again. Staff was great and told us all the rules for staying. We had a Covid test done before going per Maine rules.

We really like this campground, prices are reasonable, staff are friendly, and location is great. 15 minutes to Acadia National Park. We enjoyed having our own bathroom. Some of the drawbacks: there’s absolutely no furniture of any kind except for the beds, road was right by the cabin so it kicked up a lot of dust, and faucet was leaky. There are 4 hooks in the bathroom and 4 hooks by the door. It would have been nice if there was another hook right by the sink for a hand towel or a towel bar. The mattresses were way too soft, so we had a hard time sleeping. Overall we had a very nice stay.

This was our third stay at Hadley's Point, and it did not disappoint. The campground was lovely, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our kids enjoyed riding their bikes and swimming in the pool. The park is only about 15 minutes to Bar Harbor and even less to Acadia NP. If you go, make sure you check out Udder Heaven (Ice cream) down the road about a mile. Another really nice feature is the Island Explorer bus system, which stops regularly at the park. Using the system, you can get to most areas of Mount Desert Island and Acadia, without having to take your car. Definitely a huge plus. Thanks for a great week, we'll be back!

I will start with the positive: the staff was so very kind and helpful; the facilities were clean; the campground was quiet at night; there were activities for kids such as the swimming pool and basketball court; we also appreciated the laundry.

That said, our hearts dropped when we drove up to our campsite. It was little more than a parking space in an open field. This place was dominated by RVs. I've never camped at a campground/campsite with so little tree cover. It was the opposite of secluded. Our friends were two parking spots/campsites over and our children could at least enjoy the field that we were the edge of for catch and whatnot, but we were all disappointed. No winding paths. No privacy. No sense of being in the woods. Imagine a grassy parking space with room for your tent and your car right next to another parking spot for someone else's car and tent. That is what it is. Whatever photo I saw of the site was really misleading.

Try later in the evening. I just tried at 7:25 PM and got through first time. They take reservations till 9:45 in the evening, and the evening is generally the slowest time.

I am very sensitive to mosquito bites. Do I need a screen room with my RV in late Sept?
Answer from HPCG
Bar Harbor, Maine
Good Morning- Thank you for writing. With the little rain we have received this past month, the mosquitos have not been bad. However, if you are sensitive, it may be wise to bring it just in case. Late September is a beautiful time to visit with the leaves changing colors and the temperatures cooler. We look forward to seeing you later this month.
