We came here with high expectation and we were so pleased that we weren't disappointed. Vianna is a boutique bar & restaurant which specialises in modern Spanish cuisine. Inside, half of it is being used as a restaurant and the other 1/2 is actually a bar. In the dining area, it has only seven 2-seaters tables and a couple of 4 seaters tables. All the tables were filled up within minutes after we were seated. (we arrived at 18:00 on a Thu evening). Food: We went for its 3 courses meal, a Blackberry Mojito (Viana's signature cocktail), a 7UP, a large bottle of water and a portion of tomato pizza bread (4 slices). Everything we ordered was delicious.  For starters, we ordered the Prawns & Vegetable Springrolls and Iberian Ham. The Springrolls were absolutely gorgeous, its wrappers were crispy and the sweet Thai chilli sauce was a superb condiment to the sweet and moist prawns inside the wrappers. The Iberian ham was a bit oily and nutty (as it should be) and it was such a perfect appetiser. The starters portions were huge too! For the main course, we both ordered the codfish in blood orange sauce. The cod was moist, the skin was crispy and the sauce carried a bit of citrusy sweetness which was a perfect dressing for the fish. The desserts were absolutely amazing too. The Torrija with vanilla ice cream was one of the best desserts I ever had. It was a simple dessert but it had got layers of texture and it was tasty! The cheesecake was lovely too although I thought the redberries sauce was a bit over the top. The Blackberry Mojito was refreshing and fruity! Service & Price: The manager (Arek) was super helpful and friendly, although the rest of the staffs were a bit emotionless which might due to the language barrier. Foods were served fast to the table and we were also given 2 shots of Bailey (on the house) as well. It cost 85 Euro for 2 people which I think it's very value for money. Overall, it was one of the best meals we had in Barcelona. The foods were brilliant, modern and delicious plus it's not expensive. Highly recommended if you fancy a very good meal in Barcelona! Tip: Always book your table in advance as this restaurant is very popular.

What a find! There are 2 of them as well!! We were in the smaller of the two tucked down a smaller side street which we were kindly escorted to by the owner. The food was amazing - tapas we had Tuna and also the White Fish & Prawn ceviche, both were excellent. They were perfectly portioned as either individual starter or to share. Mains we opted for beef cheek and the chef's offering of the day - the steak. Again, both were perfect. There was no sharing to be had here! Steak was blue as requested and done just right. The beef cheeks melting...and the offer of additional sauce was much appreciated and a small gesture often overlooked. All the team were friendly, efficient and very helpful. We ended up staying for the whole evening and enjoying drinks at the bar as well. Never had a mojito before? Me neither but the house special blackberry mojito was a revelation and completely deserving of all the fanfare! Price - always subjective but we felt was excellent and fair value for money. This factors in the quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere. Whether a first time to Barcelona or not it's 100% a place to go... probably best to book as it was busy the entire evening! We will definitely return and can't wait to do so! Thanks all at Viana for a great evening and memorable experience.

At the recommendation of someone from Barcelona we went to Viana. We booked a week in advance. We started off sharing their signature blackberry mojito. Now I don’t like mojitos but this has converted me. Omg it’s great! Dark, fresh, flavoursome and moorish. They allow you to order 1/2 portions of starters which is a great idea. The tuna tartare and pork carpaccio were lovely (the pork just edges it but only just..) For mains my wife had the suckling pork and I had the beef cheeks. Mine was really nice but the taste of the pork was amazing and so succulent! Shared the threesome of chocolate - it was nice but you need a sweet tooth.. Lovely food and a good evening.

We had a great meal here - tuna dish amazing, best iberico ham of the week, burrata delicious. My daughter absolutely loved their blackberry mojito, said it was the best mojito she ever had. Small, friendly place, definitely worth a visit.

Came here for evening out with the family simply the best food we’ve had and the best service for quite some time. From the moment that we called the restaurant to work out exactly where we were and someone came out to find us to help us, simply states how much they care about their customers. The service remained exemplary and the food was simply sublime. Would heartily recommend this place to anyone that wants an unpretentious high quality and great culinary experience. Don’t think twice... simply go

This small restaurant in the gothic quarter of Barcelona is worth a visit. Reservations are advised although we were able to get a table in the late evening on a Monday night. There are some tapas but also main plates, all of which were excellent with a Middle Eastern oriented profile of flavors. We focused on meat (beef, lamb) and were very pleased with the high quality of the presentation and the food. There is a decent wine list showcasing a limited number of wines mainly from Catalunya.

Had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The owners are very welcoming and attentive, they even brought us gazpacho de fresa to try as we waited for our food. Service was fast and the food was simply delicious. I don't normally like meat but their meloso de tenera was incredible! Would definitely go back.

Booked at the last minute for a Thursday night I was a little wary that we had no issue with getting in (even during Covid times). However 8pm is early! Small entrance off a back street just 200m from the harbour. The place opens up into 1 room and probably can take 30-40 people at a go (only 5 when we left 930) However a really stunning (if limited) menu of local dishes served in an exceptional way and with superb flavours. Drinks and 3 courses for under €80 for 2. A must go location

Absolutely delicious. Service was next to none, accommodated for a gluten intolerant, food was next to none and could not fault Viana. The best octopus (tapas dish) I’ve had by far. Paella was amazing along with other dishes on the table. Highly recommend, even to celiacs!! Gluten free bread and most dishes can be made gluten free. 5 stars!!

The food was excellent and could not be faulted from starters through to dessert. It is one of the most enjoyable meals we have ever had. Everything had a unique spin on it- they have one very talented chef. The waiters were friendly and relaxed, as was the atmosphere. Wine was very reasonably priced and good quality, with sample tastings offered before purchase. If you want fantastic food, great atmosphere, without any pretentions, this is highly recommended but you must book as it is in demand.

We were a party of 6 celebrating a 40th Wedding Anniversary. There are two restaurants in the group, in close proximity, and we originally went to the wrong one - but were courteously walked round to the correct one where our table was waiting. The menu was interesting and varied and the drinks excellent. The “girls” had blackberry Mojito to start which looked amazing and I am told tasted just as good. The gentlemen had draft beer which was really good. For starter I had the seafood croquettes. It was a large starter with four pieces - but delicious. For main course three of us had the T-bone steak (all three correctly cooked to different requirements). The seafood main courses were all excellent as were the last course. Decent wine at a good price. Excellent friendly service and everything was exactly what we asked for.

It was our second time visiting Viana, but this time it changed location (just around the corner on Carrer dels Escudellers). We will be back for a third! The food was once again amazing and the service very attentive and delightful. They offered to half some of the tapas so we could try more, which was a nice gesture. We had burrata, tuna, patatas bravas, ceviche and carpaccio - all of it very tasty. Next time we visit Barcelona we will definitely be back.

Daditos de Atun: The worse food I've ever tasted ... It was advertised in their menu (presumably fit for human consumption). I've honestly never tasted anything so bad ... It looked like a half-tin of cat food that the cat probably wouldn't even eat. I informed the waiter when he arrived with the bill; he asked for feedback & I didn't mince my words. Zero discount offered.

I lived in Ireland for many years, i have great irish friends and it is undoubtedly one of my favourites countries. It is blessed with amazing landscapes, great music, art, literature and propably the funniest and wholehearted people in the world. However, in my opinion the food scene is somewhat lacking. You propably do not get to eat a lot of raw food in Ireland, and because of that is understandable thatt you might find the flavours and the texture a bit shocking. But, from there, to call one of our best-sellers dishes ("tin cat food") there is a long way, and I personally find your comment quite offensive, definitely not irishman-like. Anyway, hope you had the chance to have a beautiful time in Barcelona, despite your terrible experience with us. All the best

We did not have a reservation, and probably should have. We sat at the bar, but after about 30 minutes they were able to move us to a table. They started us with a very nice complimentary amuse bouche, some type of mango cream in a tortilla. We followed that up with a scallop tapas, and paella for two. Both delicious. We finished with a desert of chocolate three ways with a mouse, a cake/brownie, and ice cream. The service was very friendly and attentive and while the restaurant is small, it has a great atmosphere. If you are in the Barri Gothic and want a good place to eat. This is well worth a try.

The fotos make this look like a quality place....I tell you it ain´t true. It´s tiny and cramped and the place has a student hang out feeling. The food is below anything I could every imagine. Although the waiteres tried to be friendly, we asked about a couple of ingredients and she had no clue. Rediming features....the price.
