great little place to stay comfortable fridge stove and microwave large room etc. the place is good during off season very reasonable but high season prices more than double or triple as to meet what other places are doing, Too bad i would stay there more often if it was more affordable in the high season, but that wont happen here or anywhere else. But usually very clean and the hosts are nice people.

Knowing this was an older property, we were pleasantly surprised by our room. We had a two bedroom suite with kitchen. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff made certain we had everything we needed. We were there during a hot spell and the air-conditioning in the main area worked well. The bedrooms did not have AC but they included an extra fan for us to use to help keep bedrooms cool. Location is awesome, right across from the lake and beach and within walking distance of many restaurants. We all agreed we would stay again! Parking was a challenge but there is a lot behind the hotel.

Yes this Motel has been around for a while but the two bed studio I stayed in was very clean and updated, the beds were comfortable and had a fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker! The front office personal were great to deal with and yes the pool was closed but you are right across from a great sandy beach and rotary park and within walking distance to many brew pubs, restaurants, and a movie theatre. The only down side I found was the internet connection was spotty and there should be more parking inside the courtyard but hey you are so close to everything that once you park your vehicle you do not have to move it. Overall I would stay here again

After being assured our room was sanitized and ready for our visit we discovered that the bedding on both beds had not been changed but rather just remade. When we took off the small foot throw at the end of the beds we found what appeared to be poop stains on one of the beds. Both beds had stains and the bedding and all pillows in both beds had a mass of short black hairs spread all over. We complained and the lovely lady cleaners came and changed the bedding with a mass of apologies as they were shocked what they saw. Apparently the ‘bed cleaner’ had not done his job. Shameful and irresponsible. A shout out to the lady cleaners and Alaina at the front office - all three were outstanding.

With our concern of a dirty room, we used our own sanitizer wipes to clean the room. We also found what appeared to be pubic hairs in the sink. There is absolutely no reason that a $200 a night room can’t be properly cleaned.

Additionally the next morning we heard a sprinkler running and when we looked outside the parking lot was flooded with water was running onto the road. We tried to get ahold of hotel staff but none were available via phone or office. Finally we found a turn off toggle to stop the hose and flooding.

We asked the hotel to reimburse us some of our costs and they offered $50 not to write this and other reviews. We said $100 would be acceptable but we received no response.

I will for the sake of other traveller’s health be sending a copy of this review to the health authorities responsible for ensuring proper cleaning measures for travellers.

We were going to stay from Nov to Apr. There was 1 dinner plate 1 salad plate 1 bread butter plate & 1 soup bowl . Coffee pot lid was broken ,frying pan was rusty replaced it with a warped One ,cutlery and cooking utensils were lacking . In Aug. we were told a month would cost $850. for a 1 bedroom. When we checked in we were told over $1200.for a 28 night stay . Being under 30 day stay we were subject to tax on the 1200. After 1 night we checked out and they told me the 1 night stay was $161. what a rip off!! We went down the street and found a 2 bedroom 2 bath with all we expected for $1000.

Stayed here for five nights during hockey playoffs and about 75% of our team parents stayed here too. It is older motel style accommodations but clean and comfortable. We had a king suite with a kitchen & hideabed. The bed was comfortable. The Slumber Lodge is right across from the beach and so close (walking distance) to restaurants, breweries and coffee shops. We even walked to the rink. There are many different room sizes, including a couple suites at the front with large balconies. Our friends had this room and it was perfect for group visiting. They offered to schedule housekeeping part way thru the week. We were given more coffee pods as requested. Free onsite parking. If you are looking for clean, comfortable and convenience… this is an ideal place to stay! We would totally stay again!

This place is a DUMP! The room was full of ants, the shower didn’t work, the toilet was leaking so the bathroom floor was basically a filthy pool of toilet water, there were yellow stains on the mattresses, there are no closets and nowhere to store your things, disgusting stained dirty carpets, no housekeeping at all. The staff member we dealt with was abrupt and unfriendly. You can’t even take out your garbage because their outdoor garbage bins & recycling bins are overflowing onto the motel grounds. The ONLY thing this place has going for it is the location. Right across the street from the beach and close to many restaurants & attractions. But there are plenty of other motels along this strip to choose from. We will NEVER return to Slumber Lodge.

Unfortunately not a good experience! Room was dirty and had a odour. They left there cleaning supplies in my room which they came and got after I told them. I was looking forward to taking a dip in there pool which was closed was disappointed with that not a big deal. What suprised me is that. I spoke to the owner in the morning and told him about my stay. He said he be sending my deposit back and showed me there jacuzzi room for next time I come in we had a good chat. All was well. Over a week later I call today to see about my deposit and he said it take a few days. I told him it’s been over a week. Then he says the room was left smelly and you not getting your deposit back. They continued to raise his voice and telling me to get a lawyer to get my money back cause I’ll never get it from him. I wouldn’t recommend staying here save your money and go somewhere else not worth the deal! Only this is location is good besides that he not in the business to have a returning guest just to take your money are run. Pictures below show how the room was when I got there you can see nothing wiped down and cleaning products still in the room. Terrible stay and I see why there is was only two other guests there when the others were fully booked!

Mostly average for Lakeshore roads "motel row". Like most, it's beds are stiff and lumpy. Rooms are clean and appear well cared for, but old. Internet is terrible, with intermittent service. Heat/AC is decent No bathroom fans but the window in the shower opens. Value for the price is poor, but location is great.

Had 2 suites. Specified ground due to health issues. Asked for close proximity. Staff were spot on with both requests. Suites were better stocked with kitchen equipment and appliances than we expected. Beds were good in both suites. Couches were good for couches but on uncomfortable side when turned into hideabed for sleeping. That was the only glitch. Staff were good with house keeping and answering any questions. It’s across the road from the beach. Was fairly quiet at night. And safe. I booked in again this summer. There were 10 of us all together from babies to seniors and was nice for all of us

Hello Michelle, We do have monthly rentals for the off season, for the time you are looking for we have available a 1 bedroom kitchen suite which contains a full kitchen including utensils, cutlery and dish ware, with a full size fridge and stove. The bedroom much like all of our 1 bedroom suites has 2 double beds. The rate for this room for a single person is $700.00, all inclusive, as well as housekeeping once a week in which they give you fresh bedding as well as towels. We have an on site guest coin operated laundry room. We as well require any potential monthly guest to fill out one of our extended stay application, and upon approval we do also require a 1/2 a months security deposit which will be refunded roughly a week after check out once the move out inspection has been done. For any further information feel free to respond to this email, or give us a call on our toll free line 1-800-663-2831. Thank You Jaclyn Penticton Slumber Lodge
