This hotel had pretty good reviews for the price range - one of the cheapest hotels we could find at peak season - and we can pretty much back them up. The biggest plus is its proximity to public transportation that can get you into town in no time.
The hotel itself is very clean and rather upscale for a not-so-expensive hotel. The room was quite tight with a baby bed, but very nice. The shower, as mentioned by others, has a ridiculous screen that doesn't always keep the water in, and there was no plug to fill up a bath (though we always carry one in case of such situations). Contrary to some other review, we didn't like the staff too much, as they seemed reluctant to give much information or help.
The location is not bad. Outside the center, but with some shops, restaurants and boulangeries near by. As mentioned, the metro (L7) is a two minute walk away, and there are a bunch of buses even closer. One thing to mention is that if you have a baby with a stroller, the metro stop has no elevator or escalator, so be ready to deal with (quite a few) stairs. This is true for many stops in Barcelona (very surprisingly). Also, the room doesn't have an electric kettle, but they will provide you with hot (boiled) water from the lounge bar.
