    Rivalries are a powerful catalyst for motivating teams to work harder, and for cementing loyalty in a client and partner base. If you’ve been in the tech sector for a while, you might remember the PC war between Apple and Microsoft. Or the browser war between Netscape and Microsoft. Or the mobile war between Apple and Google. Or the CRM war between Oracle and Salesforce. Tech’s newest rivalry is Snowflake vs Databricks, which was on full display in San Francisco last month where both held their annual user conference.     When worlds collide - it doesn’t get much better! Last night, we had the chance to gather the local Tercera network in Chicago for our very first Community Connections event. As a remote working company, we love getting our internal team together in-person on a quarterly basis. And when you have an incredible group of advisors, colleagues, partners, and friends that live nearby, we thought, let’s have them join us!     Our friends at G2 just published their annual Buyer Behavior Report! More than 1,900 B2B software buyers were surveyed to understand their plans, behaviors, and attitudes on everything from AI and security to how they purchase and work with service providers. The good news is that most buyers seek service assistance early in the purchasing journey. More than a third (38%) say they start considering service providers during the research phase for purchasing software, and about one-quarter (24%) say they begin considering service providers even earlier during the discovery phase. The not so good news - only 42% say they’ve actually worked with a third-party implementation service provider.
