Electric Genesis cars: current lineup

If you want a luxury electric car, then Genesis can offer you a choice of the GV60 crossover/SUV-hatchback, the GV70 large SUV or the G80 large saloon.

Genesis GV60

The GV60 is a high-quality crossover hatchback, or some might even class it as an SUV. Its nearest rivals would probably be the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (which it is related to) or the Audi Q4 e-tron.

This is a powerful electric car with a choice of 229hp and an official range of 321 miles with the Premium model (which received a score of 8/10 in our review), or 318hp and 292 miles of official range with the Sport model, and 490hp with official range of 289 miles for the Sport Plus.

Genesis Electrified GV70

The Genesis GV70 is a large, luxury electric SUV. Its interior looks like a copy of a Bentley, so is a nice place to be. It is also powerful with a 77.4kWh battery with 483hp which means it’s capable of doing 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds - that’s impressive for a large EV. It also has an ultra-fast 800v charging system which can take it from 10% charge to 90% in approximately 18 minutes.

Genesis Electrified G80

The Genesis Electrified G80 is a large luxury saloon positioned against the likes of premium rivals, the Mercedes EQE and BMW i4. Its sleek shape is attractive, while inside you’ll find a high quality feel with plenty of leather and standard equipment.

It achieved a score of 7/10 in our review. It lost points for having less boot space than many large saloons, especially in the all-electric version as the battery intrudes on storage space and the rear cabin.

As you'd expect from a large, luxury saloon, the Electrified G80 is quiet and comfortable. It’s also powerful with an insane 0-60 mph time of jus 4.9 seconds thanks to its 82.5kWh battery and two motors (one on each axle) which combine to produce 370hp and 700Nm of torque.
