DUNDEE LOW EMISSION ZONE (LEZ) CHECK

How does Carwow’s Dundee LEZ check work?

Carwow’s free Dundee Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) check uses your vehicle’s registration to tell you if your vehicle is compliant and whether you’ll need to pay the daily charge to drive into the LEZ.

Our tool also shows you the boundary of Dundee’s Low Emissions Zone. You can enter an address or postcode to see if it lies within the zone.

What is the Dundee Low Emissions Zone

The Dundee Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) is an area in the city where only certain vehicles are allowed to enter based on the car’s exhaust emissions standard. The aim is to reduce pollution and improve air quality by stopping the more polluting vehicles from entering the LEZ.

What vehicles are allowed in the Dundee Low Emissions Zone?

Vehicles allowed within the Dundee Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) are petrol cars and vans that meet Euro 4 exhaust emissions standards, and diesel cars and vans that meet Euro 6 exhaust emissions standards. Owners of non-compliant cars will be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) if they drive it within the LEZ. ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras check every car entering the LEZ. If a vehicle is non-compliant, and not exempt, a PCN will automatically be issued to the registered keeper.
