If your performance car has a higher mileage than agreed in the lease contract, it means the car will be worth a lower amount, so the lease company charges an excess mileage fee for every mile to make up the difference. Excess mileage fees may not seem much, usually around 10p per mile, but if you are several thousands of miles over your limit, it could add up to a large bill.
