BOKARO: Almost two months after the announcement of the CBSE Class XII results, Rajat Ritwik, a student of the Arts stream from the Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, earned the top spot in his school and the district, and the second rank in the state. His achievement followed a successful re-evaluation after which his score was revised to 98.8%.
“Rajat was not satisfied with the results and marks announced by CBSE in May.
He challenged the evaluation, leading to a re-evaluation process that resulted in his final score of 98.8%. His subject-wise marks after re-evaluation are: English 99, History 99, Political Science 99, Sociology 99, and Physical Education 98,” said Suraj Sharma, principal of the school.
He further said, “Earlier, Rajat had scored 94 in English, 98 in history, 95 in political science, 96 in sociology and 98 in physical education, which was around 95%. After the re-evaluation, his marks in four subjects increased making him the topper in the Arts stream. After seeing the re-evaluation score of the student, I checked it with CBSE Patna region and also got confirmation from there about his standing in ranking.”
