I needed to remember to review this nice restaurant as they served delicious food for meat eaters and vegetarians. My husband and I eat meat, but needed a break after the large portions of Octoberfest, and our adult children are vegetarian so we try to look out for options for the future. Laurin’s had delicious soups, salads, and traditional mains for both groups. We did not have appetizers—but most of the groups of Munichers around us shared the dips and bread. We both had cold crisp salads with a citrus dressing— my husband had the one with sliced fried dumpling and I had mine with chicken. I thought it would be a few little slices, but there was a generous portion, so there went my idea of not much meat! We both had the cocktails of the day— don’t know what it was, but it was good!

12/21/19: Amazing restaurant near Marienplatz - we ate there for supper. Two in our family had beef goulash with fresh rosemary and cranberry relish with potato dumpling; another had schnitzel - the best yet for that dish (comparing other schnitzels we had had on our trip so far). I had trio of dumplings (mushroom, spinach and tomato) with a delicious salad. Best meal on trip so far! Staff was so friendly and efficient even though they were so busy. Atmosphere was great! This is a must while in Munich! One of the best meals on our trip! Very reasonably priced.

My friend and I spent one night in Munich and we ended up choosing this place. We both got the potato dumplings. It was my first time trying potato dumplings and I loved them! They come in a trio of spinach, cheese, and tomato. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

The food and the service was top notch. Either of us speak German but the waitress spoke great English and was so helpful. She picked two amazing traditional favorites that we both loved. Even the before meal bread was incredible.

I've had lunch here before, decided to come back and wasn't disappointed. We shared the veal Schnitzel and potato salad, more than enough for two and washed it down with a lovely glass for rose. This place in right next to the famous Viktualienmarkt in the centre of Munich. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner.

The terras is quit nice but that is the only positive remark I can make. Terrible chairs on the terras to sit on and the service is really bad. Long time to wait for almost everything: the drinks, the bill and the young male servant on the terras is on above impolite too. Once and never again!

We had a lovely time here for an early dinner. We sat with a view of where the two big windows come together. Excellent red wine from South Tyrol. Some food was better than others. Excellent service. Wasn't cheap but was one of our best times on the trip.

A few steps from Viktualienmarkt and there is no traffic there. The food was more refined than what we had so far in Munich and the wine was excellent. Service was quick and friendly. However the chairs on the terrace were not very comfortable and the owner should pay some attention to that. Nevertheless, I would have gone there for a second time if I had stayed longer in Munich.

We couldn’t eat there. Apparently, you can only eat there with a reservation. We were there on a Wednesday, and despite being somewhat early( 6ish), and having empty tables, the hostess laughed at us for coming without a reservation

Extremely nice staff and well-balanced menu with some nice twist and variations on the traditional dishes and drinks. Quality wise on a high level with the necessary entertainment. Lovely terrace but south oriented, so can get hot during the day 😎
We gladly found a table with the support of the staff until … PM, but certainly would recommend a reservation during peak-season as they have a lot of locals visiting their establishment. We surely will meet again ✅

Lovely restaurant with a very cool vibe. Super busy all night with fast service, but a limited bar. We could only get an 8:30 pm reservation and even went by earlier to see if they could fit us in, but they were packed. Came back at 8:30 pm and were told our reservation had been canceled?? After a few awkward moments, we were seated anyway. The crazy thing about our bill was we were asked if we wanted “fizzy or still” water, which we said still would be fine. We have eaten all over the world and we know you get charged for fizzy, but we have never been charged for still - certainly not without being told or it being listed on the menu. We had a couple of carafes of water and were charged $5.50 euros each! Our wine was only $8 euros and a beer was around $4 euros. It is a small thing, but it caught us off guard, especially since there was nothing on the menu about charging for water.
Loved the setting, service, and food, but I think you should give diners a glass of water without charging them. If you are going to charge, then you should warn your guests.

This restaurant had fantastic gourmet food in a friendly upscale atmosphere. The choices were varied even for vegetarians. The menu was German/continental with a flair for fantastic. Our best meal in Munich!
