wonderful hotel ,everything was great very comfortable room especially the bathroom, the staff were very helpful very close to metro station EXPUTEX less than a minute walk BUT if you have luggage it is better to use the station PADUA because this station has left instead of stairs ,the breakfast was nice and the location was a bit far from city center but only 10 minutes by metro you are in the heart of the city

A nice hotel near metro station, easy to access from the city. The room was nice with all the facilities, AC and hot water for shower. Good value and I had visit with friends for a week. High recommended hotel. Very helpful staff with many information and maps for the city and attractions.

It is a quite good hotel, very clean, the bedroom narrow but the bed quite comfortable. It is near Metro station but not very close to the Centre of town. The road in front of it, has an inclination and not convenient for cars. Near of it, has cafe and Market. The stuff quite helpful.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with my wife and we didn't really have a good experience. This hotel requires some work - showers don't work well, mold in the sealing or at least water leak, walls are thin and not sound proofed, we were not able to take a proper shower as the water system was messed up, one second we get hot water and once second we get cold water during the shower. Also, the walls and very thin and you can hear people in other rooms or if someone talks on the street.
On top of that, the first day we got to this hotel we found that they had booked one night for us at a different nearby hotel because they had water problems in the hotel so we went to the other hotel (Hotel Silken Sant Gervasi) 3 stars as well and was 10 times better that this one. This was really inconvenient for us because we had to drag our luggage to the other hotel, unpack and then re-pack the next morning. overall, we didn't have a good experience at this hotel and will not be back again. Finally to say something positive, the staff were really nice eventhough they didn't apologize for the inconvenience we had with moving one night to a different hotel and coming back.

This is a basic hotel, cheap for Barcelona, but then it is a 10-15 minutes metro journey from the centre of town. Not a real problem and good to be a bit away from the hussle and bussle, but a bit of a mission to pick up bags from the hotel on last day, so something to think about. I booked with Clear Skys holidays and got completely ripped off by them, they charged me over £268 for 3 nights, on a room only basis, it was half this price with breakfast if id booked direct. This is in a residential area, so not much English spoken, so take your phrase book. We bought the T10 ticket as you can share this, so it was a much cheaper way of getting around, and used on all the transport systems.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel as most places were fully booked as it was a bank holiday.
The hotel is about 15mn walk from park Guell, in a quiet and nice neighbourhood on the outskirts of Barcelona.
The nearest metro is 2mn walk away (it is actually a train not a metro but functions as such).
They are plenty of cafés offering tapas and a delicious Japanese restaurant (Fuji Yama) near by, as well as a supermarket and small market. The reception staff are really lovely and helpful and speak good English and some French.
The room was spacious and clean with a small fridge (mini bar) and good air con.
The rate was reasonable considering the time of the year. We got a much better deal booking online for a couple of nights and then extending our stay once there.
Unfortunately the rooms are very noisy. The windows are double glazed but badly insulated so you can hear everything outside. Eventhough it's a quiet neighbourhood you can hear lorries loading up in the early hours, bin men etc... (We were on the 1st floor).
The walls are so thin that you can even hear people going to the toilet next door or walking above! The beds are hard but large and the pillows too thin. The water is either too hot or too cold but the bathroom is nice and spacious with a jacuzzi button on a large bath. The car park can only accommodate small cars and it is virtually impossible to find a parking space near by. I parked a good 5mn walk away as I was lucky to find a parking space in the area.
It is a real shame because the reception staff try so hard...
Overall it was ok but, if it wasn't for the staff, I would have not been so acceptant off the other issues.

I have just returned from my second visit to this hotel and was even more charmed this time ( Oct. 4-14. 2013 ) than last ( Sept.- Oct. 2011). The reception staff greeted me warmly, and arranged for me to have a lovely 4th flr.room ( 404). They were very helpful and friendly at all times, and speak multiple languages fluently. The room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also very nice, with many of the amenities of four star hotels. . The room and bathroom were cleaned daily and were always well maintained during the 10 days I was there.). There is a desk top computer, near the reception desk, that customers can use, whcih was very handy. The onle negative thing I could say is that the walls between the rooms are not very sound-proof. The hotel is quite far from the city centre, but the Putxet Metro station is within 3 min. walking distance from the hotel, and the ride into Barcelona takes only about 7 minutes ( 5 subway stops), so the city and main tourist sites are easily accessed. The hotel is family-friendly , and I saw many families , with young children, there during my 10 days. There is also a small playground for young children approx. 3 blocks from the hotel. I again really enjoyed my stay there , and would gladly return again . I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Just got back from this hotel and we had a brilliant stay. Room very clean Jacuzzi bath which we didn't use. Bathroom quite small as it has a bidet and they do have toiletries just in case you are only taking hand luggage. The hotel is 10 mins from the centre and the metro is very easy to use. To get to the hotel from the airport we bought a bcn 4 day pass for €24.40 each which you can use on metro, train and buses. You cannot use this ticket on the bus from the airport to the centre. The. catch the train to sants estacio then transfer to provenca then get the l7 line to el putxet. Once your out of the metro head down the hill and the hotel is on the side road just before you get to the main road. There are supermarkets dominos and shops nearby but very limited English but you get by. Tv only has Spanish channels which you expect but do have English news channels. I would stay again if I went to Barcelona as not in the hustle and bustle but very close to enjoy it.

The hotel is more than decent although it won't compete with Marriott. The location is perfect, 2 minutes from the Metro in a nice and extra quiet area.

We got a small room at first and when we mentioned it the staff, Patricia, was super friendly and upgraded us to a better room. It was still small, although not too compact and we enjoyed it. Moreover it had a balcony which more than made up for the room size and the small bathroom.

We got the room with breakfast which was absolutely worth the money (11 Euro). Great (unlimited) cappuccino and latte (from a machine), eggs and mini hot dogs, a few kinds of bread and cheese and more. Trust me, such a breakfast will cost you 3 times this amount in Barcelona.

The TV in the room was OK, although only 2 English speaking channels are provided ((BBC and China News, for Pete's sake) but not CNN. Should not be a problem if your main concern is seeing the city although it would be nice to have CNN and maybe another sports channel (Wimbledon was on but we couldn't watch it).

To recap, the hotel is more than decent (although cleaning the room was not perfect), breakfast is good and location is superb. The staff (mostly Patricia) is amazing and the deal (about 78 Euro a day) is a good bargain. Go for it.

It has been my absolute pleasure to stay at this hotel. There are a number of things that happened that might have ended very badly if it weren't for their kindness, consideration and efficiency.
Firstly, my ferry was delayed 6 hours, but fortunately this was not a problem as they have 24 hour reception so that when I arrived at 1.30 they were waiting - and had even offered me help trying to get a taxi from the port. The reception staff have been absolutely wonderful - ever single one.
Then they forgave a serious mistake I'd made accidentally double-booking, when they would have been well within their rights to charge me for it.
Also, in terms of value for money - for a three star the price was exceptional. The room is large and comfortable, has a massage bath (?) , and I slept very comfortably. There is aircon (I barely used it), safe (you can get the key for 20E deposit) and excellent wifi.
I must however mention the downsides, not enough though to lower the 5 star rating.
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the metro; though the line is quick and goes straight to Liceu. I think I would have struggled to bring my bags from there.
The walls could do with a freshening, but in my experience it is very hard to keep hotel walls clean and I have rarely seen clean walls.
I could hear the couple above getting - ahem - rambunctious. But I suspect maybe everyone in half a mile could too.
I was so glad to have made the choice I tried to extend my stay but unfortunately couldn't as the hotel was fully booked.

I could not remember actual on site parking. Due to the location, alternate parking should be found.
