Really nice hotel with friendly staff. Room was large and lovely and clean. Breakfast was good with a choice of Continental or bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. All hot and very nice. Hotel location is really good and central. There are many bars and restaurants close to it. The hotel is a 10 min taxi ride away from the cruise port. It’s a lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly. I look forward to staying there again. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel has very recently been upgraded by the looks of it, as all of the furniture and fittings felt very new, and very clean. Our room was great, with a big bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in walking distance of some very nice restaurants, as well as the Metro and bus stops, so we could get everywhere we needed quite easily once we figured this out.

Breakfast was included, though I didn't have much of it as I wasn't hungry, but all of it looked good. I'm sad that I didn't get a chance to check out the rooftop with jacuzzi, but as we were there for only one night, we were out and about.

Located on a busy street the hotel is within walking distance of a large number of bars & restaurants and various tourist areas. Whilst not 4 star it is certainly value for money & we found the staff pleasant & helpful. Not the largest room in the world but totally adequate (and quiet thanks to good double glazing). Busses, taxis and the Metro are on hand should you not wish to walk. Buffet breakfast was fine if a tad limited but all in all we had a nice stay

Our first thought was this hotel is not 4 star, more like a 3 star, however, after settling in the pros outweighed the cons. Clean room, good bathroom, tea making facilities, fridge, comfortable bed. Close proximity to metro and walking distance to many tourist attractions, including La Rambles - we walked everywhere with ease from this hotel. Lots of eateries nearby. 24 hour reception with obliging, English speaking staff. Cons were the room was small and on the shabby side, small TV nearly impossible to find an English speaking channel. Our room overlooked rooftops. If you don't plan on spending most of your day in the room then I would certainly recommend this hotel, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Only my second day here but all is fab. The room, although small is lovely, the staff are fantastic and so helpful. They called me a taxi no prob then when it didnt come the young man went out on the street to hail one done. Asked for somewhere good for tea tonight and was given great advice, ended up at Arenus with a panaramic view of the city and the Magic fountain. Only prob i've found is you can hear the metro going underneath the hotel. Defo recommend this hotel to anyone

We are staying here now as I write this the hotel it's self is fine it's clean has a nice breakfast it's location is ok! Close to metro, restaurants and shops! Which is a plus! The water pressure is very good and the WiFi is great! But the bath is tiny I mean it must be for a child tiny but other than that the hotel is fine no frills just basic but clean and safe!

Thank you for writing this review immediately during your stay! I'm happy that you like the hotel! It's nice to read that the wifi is great! We actually think so too and I'm surprised when a client sometimes write that it's not fast enough. So, thank you for mentionning it! We have a few bathrooms with a smaller bathtube, you can sit in it, which is also nice. We definitely hope to see you again soon!!

I must be honest, i was getting worried about this stay after reading some of the reviews but it wasnt bad at all so i will list my own opinions views on the good/ bad of the hotel
Breakfast - It is a standard European breakfast - toast, scrambled eggs, chips ( found this a bit weird but each to their own) and Bacon (It wasnt the best but i am SUPER fussy about bacon) pastries, crossiants, mini doughnuts, fruit and cereals and fruit juice, the hot drinks were from a machine but there were no complaints from us, plenty of tea bags and hot water :)
we were in as late as 10.15 (finishes at 10.30/10.45) and they were still topping everything up so all good

The location is great, literally 10 minutes walk from La Ramblas which is perfect
the rooms were a good size and clean, there were clean towels and beds made etc every day. All the staff we encountered were really helpful and spoke English, although some struggle more than others but they all try and if you are patient they will get there

There is a free Safe in the room that you programme with your chosen number code

We were in room 503 and we could hear the lift but not enough that it caused us major hassle, but i feel i really have to comment, this is a central hotel, there is going to be noise, if you want a peaceful hotel dont book one in the centre of a city

Taxi to and from the Airport was about 33 Euro , a taxi to Nou Camp was about 15 Euro

We did the bus tour,it is 30 Euro's for a one day ticket, you get a book of discount vouchers for various other attractions, the Red route was good but there were lots of long silences so became boring, we didnt bother with the green route ... Also Take your own headphones as the ones they supply are painful

1. Cheated - we booked a double room for 5 nights. On the first night we were given a single room (this was clearly a single room - tiny room, small bed, one power outlet, one hand towel and so on..). When we came to the reception right after entering the room to say they must have made a mistake, the guy told us:"You booked the standard room, this is what you booked." The next day he agreed to transfer us to a real double room.
The funny part - when we checked out we saw another couple at the reception complaining about the exact same thing! This is something they do regularly! It takes them a second to agree to transfer you to a different room the next day, suggesting they know they're doing something wrong and betting on the chance that some people won't notice/complain.
This might have annoyed me less if I were charged the single room instead of paying for a double...
2. In the single room the toilet was a bit broken, ac made a terrible noise when powered on and room smelt rotten..
3. Cleanliness - sheets weren't clean, the rest was fine
4. Location - ok, but not great enough in my opinion to be worth staying here..

What a wonderful little hotel. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was nice, lots of food choices. Good restaurants and shops near by. The front desk booked us the Hop on-Hop off bus and flamingo dancer show. Room was clean, comfortable beds. Fridge. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

How much, on average, is the cost of a taxi from/to the airpor?
Answer from ODL
Bristol, United Kingdom40 contributions34 helpful votes
The taxi is between €20 and €30 depending upon timings and destination. There is a good train service from/to both Terminals which is €4.50 for a single journey. The train to the airport is not covered by the T10 ticket suggested by the other traveller. Airport train tickets have to be purchased separately.

La plage la plus proche est à un peu plus d'un kilomètre. Lorsque vous sortez de l'hôtel, dirigez-vous vers Paral-lel et tournez à gauche. Il faudra environ 10 minutes pour y aller à pied :-)
