I really wanted to like this hotel as it was reasonably priced and ideally positioned in Barcelona close to Las Ramblas and the Port. Sad to say although it was clean and bright our room which was on the fifth floor had a flooded bathroom for two days. The concierge was aware of this problem as he said right away it was a problem with the aircon and that someone would come and fix it. Twice members of staff burst into our room without knocking first, the maid first and then the man to fix the leak. Both said they would come back, we were astounded. Upon returning to our room after dining out I opened the bathroom door and thinking the problem would have been fixed I walked into the bathroom slipped on the floor and had to grab the door handle to stop me falling. When I called the desk I received no apology but was told nothing could be done as the person I was speaking to was the only one available. I told him that an apology would have been nice and was basically asked whether there was a fire in my room. When I laughed and said no he said in that case it is not an emergency. Note to Manager: this is a decent enough hotel but please teach your staff to knock before entering a room, regardless of whether or not there is a do not disturb sign on the door, fix your aircon and give your staff some customer care training. You appear to have a lot of bad reviews, perhaps it's time you took them on board and brought your hotel up to standard.

Stayed here 4 nights prior to cruise. Location is so-so. But the hotel is at best a low to medium three star. Small room (even though we were were told we were upgraded size), no lobby, poor over price breakfast. Not a comfortable bed, poor bathroom extras and any surface above five feet had a years worth of dust on it. We left a wrapped package in room and almost got to ship before we remembered. Returned, got access to room, it was gone, ask maid about it, yes she had it, but she had already opened it and gone through contents as package was completely torn apart. It was obvious it would have never made it to lost and found. Front desk person always seemed to be on a personal phone call and seemed to resent any questions, also Staff not too good at knowing area, recommended restaurant across street and we did not finish one tapa it was so bad. Ask about another in area, they said was bad but it got a rather good TA rating, and we found it to be excellent. No way would we return.

Firstly. I didnt like the neighborhood. The last time i went i stayed in the gothic quarter and the feel of the holiday was completely different. The walk to la ramblas was too long and i certainly didnt feel safe walking back at night.
There was a lovely coffee shop across the road mind.

Hotel were nice to give me a room with a balcony. One of a few at the hotel. Downside was that the room had a sewerish smell. Especially when the toilet was flushed and the air con was on.

Staff generally friendly except the guy on the morning-1pm shift. Never smiled. Just got to business so didnt feel so welcome. Others were pretty nice though.

My advice. Pay a bit more and stay further in mear the marina or the GQ.

Our hotel is 10 minutes walking from the Ramblas, close to the port, the Plaza de España and a metro stop very close to go to further places. So not a bad situation. I understand it most also have been very nice to stay in the gothic quarter! I'm happy you liked your room. We'l talk to the reception staff. Thank you for your stay with us.

We spent 6 nights in this hotel and I think that many feedbacks on tripadvisor are not fair. The hotel is well located near to parallel metro station and 15 minutes walk from La Ramblas. The neighberhood is safe.
The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is repetitive but good and hearty.
Overall, we have enjoyed our stay and we will choose this hotel if we travel to barcelona, I defenitely recommend this hotel.

We read varying reviews about Hotel Garbi Millenni before arriving. I can honestly say we found the whole stay excellent.
We were greeted by wonderful staff who could not do enough for us, the room (202) though small was lovely. The bathroom very clean and a great shower. The air con seemed to only have one temperature but a quick opening of the window cooled the room down. However the best thing about this hotel is its location. 3 blocks from the hustle and bustle of las ramblas, seconds from Paral-lel metro station and a selection of great bars and restaurants on its doorstep. Though all of the reviews on here are opinion I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.
Our next visit to Barcelona we will certainly be back.

Unfortunately this hotel disappointed on every level. Looking forward to the spa/s and sauna, but the outdoor one was out of order, the indoor spa had two inches of dirty water in it and you have to book your one only free visit to it with reception and the sauna had a funky smell to it that prevented you from stepping inside. The whole reception area and floor lobby had a strange smell to it. The room was small and didn't have tea or coffee making facilities. Although the bathroom was a good size and clean, the room itself and the floor wasn't clean. The bed was old and very uncomfortable, the blankets smelt musty and dirty. The staff (besides one very helpful and friendly reception staff member) were either too busy to assist or non-existent. Each time not wanting the distraction from their phones to assist with any queries. The hotel is situated next to a park frequented by the homeless and there appeared to be trouble there often with police turning up in vans with dogs. I would suggest you search elsewhere for a hotel for the same price with but a much better standard.

We have stayed in a double room for 8 days and have mixed feelings about this hotel.

The location is quite good. Tube station is within 2 minutes walking distance and you can walk to La Rambla or Plaza Catalunya within 10-15 minutes. The only problem about the location is the noisy street. I wouldn`t mind staying in this hotel for a few days but again, if you are planning to stay long, you have to find a way to deal with the noise at night.

Breakfast is decent. If you are staying more than 3 days then I would suggest to book the hotel room only as they have been offering the same breakfast everyday. Also, they are not keen on refreshing the dishes so try to be at the breakfast room as early as possible. We have been to the breakfast room around 10am and most of the time, we couldn`t find what we want to eat.

Staff is nice and friendly.

Overall, I would suggest you to book a different hotel if you want to stay more than a few days. As other people stated, this is a good 3 star hotel, hard to say it is 4 star.

Stayed at this hotel and found the rooms to be clean and pleasant. Staff helpful and polite. Breakfast was good, plenty of it. The surrounding area is also fine, not too far away from metro station or local sights. It is true there are some unsavoury elements around but then Barcelona is a major city! We had no issues or problems. Very good hotel, I recommend it highly.

Welcoming and friendly staff which were helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy, some bigger than others. Nice size queen beds. Maids clean daily, fresh towels etc. Safe in room, mini bar(not bad price). In a very good location, 2 minutes walk from metro, with lots of nice cafe's and bars. Also walking distance for Las Ramblas and the Gothic quarter. With nice roof terrace, gym, sauna and jacuzzi. Also computer access and Wi-Fi. It is on a slightly noisy but it is the center of a major city

Have stayed here several times since its opening. Although it is still good value for money compared to other hotels in the immediate area standards have slipped.I arrived to find hotel overbooked & was moved to a sister hotel for a night although i had been booked for 6 months.
When i was eventually able to check in i was given a avery small & dark room although i had been promised much better "for the inconvenience" . From prior experience i know that the hotel do have some rooms that are extremely cramped & not at all suiteble for an extended stay so always insist on best available. Generally rooms are modern if basic, not everything in the rooms seem to work at any given time. Breakfasts are poor on selection, quality & service. The roof sitting area is basic with a small poorly maintained spa bath. The bar is hardly worthy of the name. The same can be said for the gym/spa area.
Most importantly be very careful in the immediate area & streets surrounding the hotel. Carry nothing other than essentials. This problem is worsening. The hotel keep a baseball bat behind reception & the front door is kept locked from late afternoon for a reason. Enjoy Barcelona ,it is a wonderfull city, but be very, very careful if you stay in this hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How much, on average, is the cost of a taxi from/to the airpor?
Answer from ODL
Bristol, United Kingdom40 contributions34 helpful votes
The taxi is between €20 and €30 depending upon timings and destination. There is a good train service from/to both Terminals which is €4.50 for a single journey. The train to the airport is not covered by the T10 ticket suggested by the other traveller. Airport train tickets have to be purchased separately.

La plage la plus proche est à un peu plus d'un kilomètre. Lorsque vous sortez de l'hôtel, dirigez-vous vers Paral-lel et tournez à gauche. Il faudra environ 10 minutes pour y aller à pied :-)
