For the price, I think this hotel is very good. It’s just 5 mins walk to La Sagrada Familia. The roof top has a good view of the cathedral too; it doesn’t have any beverage service so you may bring your own drinks there. Other than the cathedral, it is a bit of a walking distance to other popular spots. Taxi would cost €7-10 to other popular tourist spots.
The room is surprisingly spacious, in good shape. It is by no mean of any luxury, but clean and functional. The toiletries are not of decent quality, so bring your own would be a good idea if you stay here.
The bar at the lobby serves food and drinks at a very good price. They have house made vermouth, which I quite like.

My partner and I had a really lovely long weekend spent here. We initially booked it to stay close to La Sagrada Familia and for the amazing views, but we also found that it was really easy to get anywhere from this location.
The hotel lobby, bar, rooftop and dining areas were so tasteful and well decorated which made it feel like a truly luxury stay. We didn't dine at the hotel other than for breakfast, but can recommend the buffet - complimented nicely by the lovely outdoor seating.
The room itself was lovely and spacious. It had plenty of space for hanging and storing clothes which was a massive plus. The only downside was that there was no complimentary water or tea and coffee facilities. They said this had been removed due to covid but plenty of hotels are still finding ways to do this so it might be worth re-thinking?
Overall I would recommend and I would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed this stylish hotel. We stayed as a family and we were delighted that the room was extremely spacious and well laid out so we never felt cramped. There was also good storage. The beds were comfortable - including the spare bed which was a pleasant surprise as many top hotels we have stayed in have only had uncomfortable sofa beds for children. Nice toiletries and although the shower wasn’t particularly powerful it was fine.
The staff are really helpful. While at reception I was impressed by the number of languages they were speaking. It was also spotless and the cleaning staff were so lovely when my little boy has been unwell with a vomiting bug. Said bug meant that for one day of our stay we couldn’t go far. As the hotel has such a nice roof terrace to relax on a sunny day this wasn’t as bad as it might have been. We hadn’t planned to have hotel breakfast or eat in the restaurant but did this so we could be close and both were surprisingly good. Breakfast was good value with quality ingredients. Delicious orange juice and good selection of items served in a beautiful space. It would have been nice to have had room service when we got off a late flight but this was a minor point overall given the quality of the environment at this hotel.

Beautiful and well-kept structure. already at first impact you feel a pleasant welcome due to the very good but not exaggerated perfume as in other hotels. At the check, if you are lucky you will meet Jesus, a very professional and kind guy. The large and well-kept room is enriched with some design elements. The breakfast is varied and of quality with very friendly and smiling staff. the hot cook on 03/22 prepared some very good eggs and mushrooms. the room manager, always smiling and courteous, took care of the replenishments non-stop. good boy! I write this review before checking out because even if I had to pay everything back in full ... it would be worth it. highly recommended

Lovely hotel, well situated for visiting some of the main attractions in Barcelona plus easy access for the hop on / hop off bus. Bit of a dodgy start as pre booked transfer did not arrive at airport as planned so needed a few phone calls to resolve. Very friendly staff on reception when booking in and helpful with maps and details about the hotel. Rooms are well laid out and toiletries provided…body lotion would have been nice addition but that’s just a personal opinion as I liked the shower lotion! 😊 The hotel advises that there is a bar open on the terrace, but I never saw that open, might be seasonal. Lovely area though with rooftop pool and views across the city. Breakfast was a good selection and items were replenished throughout which was needed liking at what some guests were piling on their plates…and then leaving! Waiting staff friendly throughout. Issue at checkout with wrong card being used (correct one had been provided at check in) and this resulted in a hold being placed on two cards which the hotel did not resolve, despite taking my email advising they would contact me, nor did they respond to my email. I had to resolve with bank. So communication in need of a little improvement but would still recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

A real top class hotel in Barcelona! Excellent staff that will go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Quallity breakfast and on the top level of the hotel a view on Sagrada Familia (nice to take pictures) The hotel is very clean and on walking distance of the metro (Sagraga familia is closest) - 10 min from town centre. I will go back next year 2021 for sure.

I stayed here for 4 days with my daughter and granddaughter. The welcome at reception was fabulous ! We were giving vouchers for a complimentary drink and told that wine and cheese would be provided 'on the house' at 17.00. This was the introduction to a perfect stay. The hotel is lovely, spacious and extremely comfortable. The problem was that I liked it so much I had to force myself to do any sightseeing. The last night we ate in the hotel bar. I was really surprised at the quality of the food as I wasn't really expecting very much. We were staying in in out of convenience and in fact we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The staff at every level are delightfully. We had a perfect stay and I wish we could have stayed longer.

What a gem. A wonderful location that is close to just about everything with a warm and friendly staff. The rooms are quite fine and the property has architectural attention to detail and is pleasing to the eye. Not to mention one of the better breakfasts in Europe. We enjoyed the very nicely designed bar and friendly wait staff with very reasonable prices. This is the perfect place when in Barcelona-a wonderful hotel that is away from the crunch with easy access to the rest of the city that is easy on the eyes with a great staff. We will be back.

No wonder this place has won a Traveller’s Choice award!
From the moment we stepped into the building we were made to feel extremely welcome. Jesus checked us in and was informative, helpful and superbly professional. We had arrived early and he accommodated us with early check in - nothing was too much trouble.
Room was lovely and spacious with well designed hanging space. Excellent amenities and facilities.
Pool was too chilly for us (March weather) but a nice area to sit and relax none the less.
Gym was a sanctuary space open all hours, so gave much more flexibility to the visit. The cardio equipment is older Technogym spec, but well maintained. My only (and small gripe) was that there is only 1 combo weight machine and the free weights only went up to 14kg. But still, a great space to use during the vacation.
Originally we hadn’t booked breakfast, but we added it in - SO GLAD WE DID! Best meals of the trip were the breakfasts at the hotel! Sumptuous selections of hot and cold foods as well as chef prepared area and amazing pastries.
Our return flight was late in the evening, so upon checkout, they graciously extended the stay and then we paid a bit extra for a further extension. After that, the team still allowed us to store our bags and use the upper deck/pool area - which we did for a bit, but then made our way to the bar for some stylish drinks before heading off.
A truly lovely stay, incredible hospitality from every member of staff.
If we ever came back to Barcelona, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The Barcelona 1882 is a true surprise in every which way. Right around the corner of one of the most amazing architectural challenges of the world, Antoni Gaudí's Modernist temple 'La Sagrada Família', the hotel is a true jewel of good taste and first class, down to earth staff, hidden behind a rather neutral mask - just in the style of the Catalan Bourgeoisie which has always made Barcelona the 'secret capital' of Spain and one of the most exciting cities in Europe.
My room was excellent: not huge, but extremely comfortable, silent and clean. And the bathroom is just top with a big rain shower and a separate toilet.

where have you seen this? because I do not remember a free shuttle on either of my recent stays... the metro stop is about a 7 minute walk and that would be the least expensive way to get there...
There are more places to choose from in the Barcelona area.
