We ordered the grilled octopus, eggplant croquettes, ham with cheese croquettes, and meat platter plus a lot of sangria!! Everything was amazing. From their service to the food, the sangria was so smooth and refreshing. The food was fresh and high quality, extremely well priced for the quality.
While there, we witnessed the most professional interaction between a server (who happened to be the manager) and a challenging customer, as someone who values good service I admire and recognize how well the server dealt with this situation, she remained calm and professional despite the client���s petty remarks.
I highly suggest you give this place a try! Great corner for people watching too.

This place is amazing, don't miss it.
Food is very good in Barcelona, almost everywhere, but this place outstands. We were five and ordered a potpourri of dishes to share, every dish was perfection (bread with tomato and the best olive oil, eggplant and smoked cheese croquetas, deer burgers, red tuna with avocado, calamari, mushroom rissotto, eggplant with mascarpone). Desserts were unforgettable, in particular their re-version of lemon pie. Very good wines at reasonable prices,

The best restaurant we ate at in Barcelona. The food was more than amazing and our waiter, Bishal, who guided us to choose the best things from the menu turned a simple dinner in a never-forgetting experience.
After several delicious starters, we had the octopus, the beef cheeks and the “pluma ibérica” pork. All three main courses were melting in our mouths. One better than the other. The night finished with two sensational deserts and a shot of Orujo.

We arrived via cruise ship, knowing little about our neighborhood (BnB) - we like to travel that way....let the city unfold! After touring Sagrada Families we came upon Casa Cheli on our way home. There we met Bishal (hope I spelled it correctly!). We knew little of tapas or Spanish wines so went with out comfort zone of house wine and a plate that sounded mild. Bishal said, "Nope! This wine is so much better (for 1 euro more!). Try the Tuna tapas instead of the other one!" We took all of his recommendations and were delighted. The croquettes were my new addiction!
We wound up eating there 3 times, each time trying something new (plus croquettes!)

Casa Cheli is one of the best tapas restaurants where I have had diner in Barcelona, from the simple ham croquette to the extraordinary pluma iberica. Thanks to Zindy for her warm, friendly and efficient service. Don't miss it.

The service was amazing and the food was much more than anticipated.
Be warned, for the people who like to eat in great quantities, the servings are not monumental.
For me that’s perfect, because prices are good, quality is good and the portion size was just right.

Very good food, music and place. Location pretty close to the Sagrada Familia. All the food was great. We ate grilled octupus, tuna tartar, pluma iberica. You have to try the tapas toreznos de soria.
Zindy the waitress was very nice, gave us some good suggestions on what to try. We received also some free drinks. Would highly recommend this place if you visit Barcelona

I often forget to write reviews, even after good dining out experiences, but not this time. This is a little gem – tapas with a twist, a dash of flair, great presentation and outstanding service.
But above all, just excellent food, created with passion. Highly recommended!
It's about to close on account of the pandemic but once it opens again on 12/01/21 make it one of your first meals out.
It's one of the best places I've visited in 3 years in Barcelona.

We stopped in here for lunch after a visit to the nearby Sant Pau attraction. The interior is modern yet intimate. They offer a really diverse Spanish tapas menu and tasty cocktails. We enjoyed attentive customer service and noticed several locals dining here, which is always a good sign.

The reviews were great and my experience matched them.
To start I had the croquettes and the cod from the tapas menu. Both were very tasty. I then had the beef cheeks which were succulent in the rich sauce.
To finish I had the crème brûlée foam with was a real treat - light and with all the flavour of a classic crème brûlée.
I would gladly come back to eat h

Stumbled upon this place by chance but so glad we did. Food was amazing and lovely service. We enjoyed it so much we went back again the next evening. The octopus and the Iberian ham were particularly good but we also enjoyed the beef cheeks and the ribs. All melt in your mouth good. The mozzarella salad this tomato ice cream was joyful. They do a great espresso martini. Handy location a couple of blocks away from Sagrada Familia & on the way to Casa Pedrera

Really high quality food. A mix of tradtional spanish food and more uncommon dishes like oxtail tacos. Good food for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Reasonable prices and the street is not to busy so it’s very relaxed to sit outside.

Stumble across this place on a early evening walk around the neighborhood. The food on the tables outside looked so good I just had try it myself and I'm so glad I did. Sergio and Zindy provided excellent service and suggestions from the menu. Highly recommended the Torreznos de Soria and the Pulpo a la Brasa. Honestly everything we tried was good, looking forward to my next visit and try more things from the menu.

Amazing drinks, food and service from Mel.
We just had a tough experience at Parc Guell and were tired and exhausted and exasperated. We dropped in to Casa Cheli and they were amazing at turning our day around 180 degrees - the food was amazing for everyone and the drinks so refreshing and we had some coffees and were off to La Sagrada Familia in a much better mood.
Life saver for our family on holidays!

After visiting Casa Cheli for the first time in our week of enjoying Barcelona, we had to visit again. This tapas was amazing. My girlfriend and I had a blast sitting on the outside terrace next to the locals. We enjoyed the tapas as much as we did the service. Especially Akib made us feel very welcome.
We do recommend reserving a table if you want to sit outside, this place is full every evening of the week, as it should be!
