Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I stayed for a work trip in October 2019 and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, with a comfy bed, good air conditioning and a powerful shower. The room however could be improved by having tea/coffee making facilities and milk in the minibar.
The breakfast was nice with a large range of hot and cold food. A particular highlight was the Spanish omelette/tortilla and roast veg for breakfast.
I would recommend this hotel if you are planning on going to the Nou Camp to watch Barcelona as it’s only about a 5 minute walk to the ground.

This review is focussed exclusively on the hotel restaurant since it's the only part of the hotel where I have been. It's a good restaurant which lies in a not very busy street in Barcelona from which it's separated by a somewhat landscaped area, what makes the calm inside be higher than it would be if the premises were by the road. Besides, the music level is moderate so that it's not disturbing. The decoration inside is very simple: a few photographs depicting some opera scenes, a column and some wall stretches covered by a wooden structure reminding that of a Venetian blind. In spite of such a simple decoration the place is nice thanks particularly to the furniture layout and the luminosity inside. The chairs and sofas are very comfy. The food is rather good. I ordered a fillet as part of the set menu. It was tender and tasty. The soup was also good. The staff is kind and helpful. I was attended by Giulia, who is a nice, friendly and charming lady. The restaurant concerned is therefore a recommendable place to eat. The possibility of having a pleasant moment there eating a good meal cannot in principle be ruled out.

We were very pleased with the size, quality and cleanliness of the room on arrival. The bathroom was also modern and of a good size. The shower was very good and the bed was comfortable. The gym and pool area were also well maintained. The reception and staff were polite and helpful. We were not on a sight-seeing trip and needed to be in the Les Cortes area of Barcelona so we were aware that the hotel was not in close proximity to main tourist attractions and beaches. However, public transport (buses and trams) makes it easy to reach Placa Catalunya, Sagrada Familia etc. Taxis are also reasonable. There are lots of quiet, pretty parks close to the hotel as well as an excellent shopping centre. Negatives: the view from the room was of a staircase and wall. The room was very warm and the air conditioning was weak so we slept with the bedroom and bathroom windows open. Our stay was at the end of October so I would be concerned about the temperature in the room in the Summer.

Expensive for its amenities. The room had many issues. Cleanliness non-existent. Towels and sheets with stains. The cleaners would pick up the sheets that had fallen on the floor and re-spread them with all the dirt from the floor, without even sweeping the floor. We were 8 nights and they only gave us 2 bars of hand soap without cleaning the place. They left us without toilet paper.The sink was leaking water on the bottom shelf and they kept putting the new 'clean' towels there, causing them to get dirty again and we had to go down to the reception for new towels. The radiator hose was loose and wouldn't close. The bathroom phone was moldy. The hair dryer was not working. I had ordered coffee and they didn't take it, the dirty mug with the coffee stayed in the room for 2 days until we left. We used the set to make coffee or tea in the room once and neither the crockery nor the tea were renewed.Reception staff and restaurant waiters excellent. Breakfast very good but with extra payment. They acknowledged the issue with the room and gave us a slight discount.

The room was great. Spacious, great bathroom, all the amenities you need. The Aircon was poor. Blew cold in the day and warm in the night. The room was so warm, we actual ended up sat on the edge of the bath with our feet and ankles in cold water at midnight to cool down.
We didn't sleep well because of it. We spoke to reception, they said it's the same in all rooms and other guests have commented the same when the weather is warmer.
The staff we great. The breakfast was spot on Loads of choice. Fresh and tasty.

We spent few nights in the hotel. Our primary purpose was to visit the city centre.
Positive: The room is spacious and clean. We had a large bed with comfortable mattress & pillows.
Staff were nice and always trying to help. Check-in and check out process were smooth.
The hotel is 30 minutes away from the city centre by metro or 45-60 min by bus. There are lots of options.
Less positive: The air conditioning is pretty weak. It will take you at least 5-6 hours to reach a comfortable temperature if you want to sleep well.
The hotel is pretty small and stuck between 2 residential buildings. There is absolutely no view and you will have to keep the curtains closed for more privacy.

I had been at Catalonia Rigoletto couple of time, and always I felt amazed for the excellent attention of the personal and Director, they make me feel at home, the rooms are very spacious clean and with good taste decorate.... Every time when I will go to Barcelona I'll stay there, the location is very convenient only few walking minutes to the subway station Maria Cristina, from where you can reach the emblematic Plaza Catalunya in only 12 minutes.... I recommend Catolonia Rigoletto

Very welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Well equipped, clean and a wonderfully comfortable mattress :) Perfect location for what I needed to do on business and well connected for the sightseeing in town. The ten minute taxi ride from the station was very pleasant after the long train journey to Barcelona from Paris - but happy it was possible without flying.

A very clean hotel very close to Nou Camp. We stopped 1 night to watch Barcelona play. There was an issue on checking in that was no fault of the hotel but Alex on reception was absolutely brilliant working hard to resolve this for us. We cannot praise him highly enough. The hotel is also very close to the Metro so we’ll definitely be looking at this hotel if we ever return to Barcelona in the future

We loved our short stay here! We arrived before our check in time, so they graciously held our bags until it was ready while we explored the area. We were welcomed back with a very nice front desk staff, and went up to our room. Great size, very comfortable, good amenities. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends! It’s a great spot if you’re staying in the area, or looking to catch an FC Barcelona game.

We arrived at my birthday. I havn't thought thereon during the check-in, an suddenly the receptinist said "Happy Birthday". When we came back from the supper we found a plate with fruits at our room.
There are more places to choose from in the Barcelona area.
