The Banff Inn is often commended for its satisfactory amenities, including the convenience of free parking and a well-kept pool area. While the rooms are noted for their spaciousness and cleanliness, some guests have mentioned the need for improved lighting and updates to the decor. Its location is appreciated for being within walking distance to the heart of Banff, despite being on the outskirts. Guests enjoy a comfortable atmosphere, with cozy beds and scenic views, though opinions on value and service are mixed, with some citing the hotel as overpriced and experiencing occasional lapses in service.

We recently stayed at the Banff
inn and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. There was a garage for parking, a restaurant downstairs for breakfast (our only complaint there was the the potatoes were so perfect one morning- and the next day, completely undercooked), the room was a perfect size for 3 girls, and the location was great for exploring downtown Banff. Our first night we asked for 3 wine glasses and they brought them right up to us. Also, if you’re skiing or snowboarding you can rent from a local shop and they will
Be delivered to the Inn, stored there, and someone will
Pick them up for you. Would
Definitely recommend!

A basic hotel very clean and friendly staff, a warm hot tub with sauna and steam room as well, the staff didn't turn on the sauna or steam room so you had to wait a long time for the sauna to heat up would be a nice gesture for them to turn on around 4pmm as skiers returning from slopes. Our room was ok but the big disappointment was the lack of central heating the bathroom/toilet was cold. To warm the room up you have to use a wall mounted ac unit but who wants to here a noisy fan starting and stopping all-night so we had to turn the heating up full prior to getting in bed then turning the ac unit off till we got up the next morning. the Pizza bar down stairs served good food we tried the 12" pizzas but found them too big for us so next we had 10" which were just right all in all a good budget hotel spoiled by the room heating arrangements.

Booked a room for 3 adults and one child in a room that slept 6. We added two more upon arrival and were charged $15 extra per person. The room stated it slept 6 but when booking, they base the price on 3 adults. A bit misleading. Check in staff would not waiver from the added charge. After paying the additional $30, for room amenities etc, we had to ask twice for extra said amenities.

Stayed here for 1 night and it was enough for us to move to another hotel. We paid for 2 rooms at $200each for 1 night when we asked for a king bed instead of the 2 doubles we were advice the cost would be an additional $250. When we asked about the pool we were told its closed. Parking was also an issue we found no parking stalls underground so we were advice to park in the street which we had no luck. However, the worst part was we found 2 blood spots on the pillow case.. please check you pillow case I was so disgusted. The pizza restaurant had good service besides only having only 1 male server . The location was also good.

I was pretty disappointed by this stay. I paid a huge premium ($300 vs my normal hotel stay of less than $100) because it was my wife and I's anniversary. We were greeted by an OK building I suppose. They talked about the whirlpool on my way in but this wasn't very appealing. How romantic is it to share a whirlpool with a full hotel of guests?

The room was disappointing in that our window was a narrow view of the parking lot that had a bus parked in front of it. No view for us. Also, there were no heavy curtains only light see-through curtains. This meant that people could have seen us if the bus moved and in the morning we were greeted by harsh light at 6 AM. The AC was underpowered and we spent most of the night too hot. Finally, in the morning there was no breakfast. I would have rather stayed at a Super 8 for 1/3rd of the price.

Oh, and the alarm clock went off at 6 AM and was super bright. Couldn't figure that out either.

I stayed at the banff inn with a friend for 2 nights as we were going snow mobiling . we was ment to check in at 4pm but arrived early and the staff at the front desk let us check in at 2.30pm . The rooms was really comfy and clean the beds was so soft and cozy felt like you did not want to get out of them . you had a mini fridge and a coffee machine. the bathroom was very clean the shower was quite powerful and nice and hot . We went out for the day and when we got back the beds was made clean towels and new coffee pods. The hotel has a restaurant on site , the menu is not that vast but there is nice food on it , The only thing about the restaurant is it is only open from 5pm until 11pm . I dont usually go to banff but if i do then i will stay here again , Its a very nice hotel

I went there during the COVID pandemic. The room was good, but the carpet and curtains seem to be a bit old and not well cleaned up. I don't like carpets, actually, I hate carpets and I don't get the point of having something in your room or apartment that accumulates so much dust, mites, mold, bacteria, and dirt. The air conditioner was a bit noisy. The bathroom looked renewed. The restaurant was closed. There is a parking spot under the building, but spots are very few.
Positive: bathroom was renewed
Negative: carpet and curtains

Very accommodating staff, clean room and Carlito's restaurant within the hotel is very convenient. Location is perfect, just within the town. The underground parking is very safe. For sure will come back again.

Banff Inn is my go to hotel in Banff. The location of this inn is perfect as it is walking distance to nearby shops, restaurants downtown and bus shuttle pick ups going to Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise (ski big 3). The rooms are clean, big, has comfortable bed, nice hot tub, etc. Elmer is amazing and a true gem and one of the reasons why I keep staying at this inn along with other staff/employees. I would stay here again and again!

I picked this hotel because they are one of the handful hotels that’s reasonable priced who had air-conditioning in their rooms. The room itself is okay. It’s a little bit of a walk to Downtown but still very doable. There’s some parking in the basement but it’s first come first serve. The hotel restaurant did not seem very appealing but lots of restaurants nearby.

There was a very small sitting area as the lobby is not very large. Can't remember whether a fireplace was in the loby, sorry!
