We recently spent 3 nights here in April, and loved it! Our second time in HKG, this time just a stopover to Vietnam, completely new to Eaton HK!
On arrival, we were a tad confused, as the entrance door our Uber dropped us off at was like the parking bit, so initially, I thought some randomer was trying to coax us into a restaurant ha, but it wasn’t, it was one of the friendly bellhops!
The check-in process was quite lengthy, not sure why, but when we eventually got to our room we were very happy! We were on the 17th floor, can’t remember the room number, but it was a good floor. Nice views. Very clean, a big thank you to Suki in Housekeeping, not only does she do a fantastic job, she is very friendly, happy and helpful! A real star!
The decor of the hotel is very, very cool, very ‘Hong Kong’, and very trendy and calming.
Perhaps the BEST buffet brekkie we’ve ever had at The Astor! Chef Joo’s dumplings are legendary and she was lovely and nice to say good morning too! The buffet truly is spectacular and the decor, vibe of The Astor matches, a glorious spot. Amy makes amazing coffees there and is lovely too! We would say however, the lady wandering around, short with a brown ponytail, wasn’t very friendly, or welcoming, not really sure what she did either but that’s ok.
We spent one nice evening visiting Terrible Baby, the onsite bar, and it was great! Really nice, funky, safe vibe, good music, good drinks, and two of the servers Gary and Julie were really nice, attentive and helpful!
We thought, as nice as the pool was to use, it’s a bit of a weird, ugly area haha, and definitely not big enough when folk bring their kiddies here, nice though and the gym is good! Marco was very friendly!
We were able to get a late check-out, thanks Claudia and we would definitely stay here again next time we’re in HKG! Great hotel in all, great location! Would quite like to visit the one in Washington too! I’d like to add, we were and are on our honeymoon, we are a same-sex couple and the Eaton HK made is feel very special, with little treats and of course welcome, as did Terrible Baby. The staff’s attitude is so bad and rude. I’ve made the reservation one month ago for family birthday dinner. 1. They arranged the table near the corridor which is the bad place. 2. I requested two baby high chairs. The position is not safety 3. When we arrived the restaurant and take a look for the menu, the staff came few times to chasing me ordering 4. We have two cars for parking and they informed only providing 2 hours for one car totally which is not acceptable.
So I won’t be there for next time.

The hotel bed is very soft and the environment is quiet and comfortable.Downstairs there is a restaurant, opposite is cuihua, with its own parking space.Transportation is convenient, 200 meters or so to Jordan station B1.

The room is too small. And I have never seen any one of hotels in HK have parking cost if we booked a room and spending whole night in the hotel. $200/2hrs is extremely expensive!!! Too bad experience!!!

Thank you for sharing your comments about your last stay at our hotel. In response to your comment about the room size, the room size info should have been mentioned during your booking. In the future if you have any room sizes preference, feel free to check with our team as we have a range of room types with different sizes. I like to clarify to your comment towards our parking fee, where we charge $50HKD per hour and have a minimum of 2 hours parking ($100HKD) per parking. Also no free parking is provided to our hotel guests as well.
It is unfortunate that you did not have such a pleasant experience during your last stay.

Very good location. Rooms are a bit cramped but well appointed. Entrance through what appears to be the parking garage is a somewhat off-putting on arrival, giving the wrong impression of the hotel. It is only on exploring that one gets a true impression of the hotel with its lovely public rooms. The best breakfast that is include in the room rate with the nicest staff helping. If it exists was a hotel directory.
