Our stay at Around the Sea was perfect in every way! The attention to detail in the condo unit was amazing. Everything was polished, shiny, tidy and organized. The coffee pot alone glistened...hard to believe that everything had been used by guests before us..it all looked brand new!! The beds were extremely comfortable, the shower was spa quality and the cutlery, dishware and pots were impeccable. The rotation of the house was intriguing and so unique. The view at the back of the house is beautiful. Clean white benchs on the back lawn are dedicated to each condo unit. The deck in front of each unit has plenty of space, with a bbq and white benches for relaxing. The beach is beautiful with easy access. Steve, the owner is conscientious, easily reachable and acts quickly on any concerns, or requests that he can accomodate. North Rustico is a beautiful location to be based from when exploring PEI and Around the Sea is the best place to be!!

My partner and I first stayed here in July 2020, and it completely blew our minds. First off - the location. You're a five minute walk from North Rustico Beach. The water is warm, safe, and the views of the cliffs are breathtaking. Then, you're a ten minute walk from PEI's best restaurant - Blue Mussel Cafe. You're also a ten minute drive away from Cavendish if you're interested in all that other touristy-stuff.
The condo itself is modern, clean, spacious (I could write a whole other post about how amazing the shower is), and Steve is just wonderful. He provides you with beach towels, beach chairs, wonderful suggestions, and just makes your stay easy and breezy.
Thank you for hosting us again this year, Steve! We can't wait to come back next summer.

What an interesting home. First, it was clean, relaxing, comfortable bed, great views, beautiful kitchen and seating area, great location near fabulous restaurants (oysters and muscles are unmatched), and our host Steve was very helpful with detailed information. The house can rotate near 360 degrees, providing each condo (of four) a great view of the ocean and sunsets. I wasn't awake for the sunrise. What I really liked about this proeprty is Steve's commitment to environmental impact. None of us are completely free of impacting the environment, but Steve makes every effort and walks the talk; a great model for all of us!

Reserved this property at the end of April for a 3 night stay in September 2022. Check in was scheduled for September 28th, 2022 but Hurricane Fiona hit the island on September 24th so, after seeing reports of the damage on TV - along with a Government request to avoid visiting the island - we advised Steve that we would not be coming. As of October 13th, 2022 (today) we've received no refund. Thanks Steve and enjoy the $640.55 we paid!

Hi Richard, Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, we have no record of a reservation for you, nor do I have any e-mails from anybody under that name. Please be advised that TripAdvisor reviews are meant ONLY for people who have actual reservations &/or who have stayed with us. Rest assured that anybody who was booked with us & requested a refund during the storm or during the following power outage was granted a refund despite our normal practices (which require a 30 day window regardless of circumstances) and despite the fact that we had a generator for power. Once main power was restored we continued to take guests uninterrupted. If your booking was with us beginning on Sept 28th, then you would have had no trouble staying with us. Because we want EVERY guest to know the ramifications of a cancellation, we also suggest in our terms & conditions, found at: aroundthesea ca/termsandconditions the following: "Because of the nature of our Cancellation Policy, it is recommended that all guests get travel/cancellation insurance." so that if you were planning a stay with us (under a spouses name, etc.?) that you would know to purchase trip cancellation insurance - particularly in hurricane season. Richard, we always strive to do our best and in the event that this was an actual booking under your spouses name then all you or they needed to do was reach out to me as we have even worked with people outside the cancellation period to arrange a credit for a stay at a later date. We want to help, but we need to know that you need help and the only way that can happen is if you contact us rather than post something (mistakenly?) on TripAdvisor after the fact. P.S. - Please ensure that your booking was not with "By the Sea" or "Dalvay by the Sea" or "Cavendish by the Sea" or "By the Bay" as they each may have a separate TripAdvisor listing. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of the condo was amazing. The place was immaculate. The attention to detail was almost mind blowing. My partner and I booked 2 nights in the winter season (Great for some nights in, would probably be even more fun in the summer!)
When booking, I thought the rotation of the condo would lose its charm quickly. To my surprise it didn't! I found myself looking out at the street one hour, going to watch TV for a bit then looking out again and seeing the ocean. A neat experience to say the least.
The bed was extremely comfy, and for someone who doesn't get a very good sleep away from home, I slept like a baby.
Some things I wondered before going... Can you feel it rotate? I personally couldn't. You can see it rotate just not feel it.
Will it rotate even in bad weather? It appears so! We had snow the day we arrived and to my surprise it was still rotating!
Would all kitchenware be provided? Yes! Anything you'd need to cook is included. (Nightmares from a stay at a different trip had me wondering this.)
As for accessibility, it is accessible with ramps. However if you are in a wheelchair there are small-medium lips to get into the door and shower. Shower has handrail also.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay on PEI or are just looking for a little staycation. Thank you to the host for an awesome stay!

We were fortunate to have booked 3 condos for my husband's 65th birthday celebration...8 adults and 4 children. The accommodations were absolutely amazing and we felt at home for 5 nights. Steve was the perfect host and attentive to all our needs. PEI (first visit) was beyond expectations!

Our stay at the Rotating House in North Rustico was excellent. The unit is extremely well appointed and clean; the bed is comfortable. The view when facing the water is beautiful. The owner is on-site which ensures any issues can be resolved immediately. The location is within walking distance of the beach and other tourist amenities. It was a perfect getaway!

Our stay was wonderful in every way. The condo was clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, yet cozy, and had everything we needed. The rotating views were pretty amazing and the use of EV charger was a plus. The owners were more than accommodating and we would highly recommend this unique experience!

We loved our stay here! It was exactly as described and such a unique experience. Great location with some amazing seafood restaurants right down the road, a beautiful view of the water, and a beautiful beach just below the house. Beds were super comfy! Despite a death in the family, the host Steve was still willing to give us a tour of the basement and was quick to answer messages. This place is at the top of my list of accommodations in PEI! We will definitely be back.

Overall excellent. Great central location between Cavendish Beach and Brackley Beach. Easy walk to North Rustico beach and local restaurants. The condo itself is modern, clean, beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. The unit is air conditioned. There are laundry facilities. Highly recommend staying here.
