Jenny Wonnacott

Jenny Wonnacott is a Content Editor for Mumsnet, specialising in writing, editing and optimising pregnancy and baby care content. She is a mother of three and lives in Berkshire.

After earning a BA in English and Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, Univerisity of London, Jenny began her journalism career as a fresh-faced newspaper reporter working for South Hams Newspapers in her hometown of Dartmouth, Devon. Since then she has worked for TV, radio, b2b trades magazines and news websites as well as completing a PGDip in Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University.

In 2013 Jenny became a mum and spent the next few years juggling motherhood with freelance journalism, planning a wedding, moving house and attempting to realise a lifelong ambition of becoming a published author – all of which she (sporadically) chronicled in her light-hearted parenting blog, Fearless Worrier (once a featured member of the Mumsnet Bloggers' Network!)

Writing under J M Briscoe, Jenny is the author of soft sci-fi trilogy Take Her Back. Her debut novel, The Girl with the Green Eyes, was long-listed for The Bridport Prize: Peggy Chapman-Andrews First Novel Award in 2020 before becoming an Amazon bestseller upon publication in 2021.

As a parent of three primary school-aged children, Jenny is passionate about making Mumsnetters’ lives easier through rigorous research of all items listed in her buyers’ guide and review pages as well as sourcing expert advice on topics related to pregnancy and parenting. She can most often be found working on these content pages (when she isn’t perusing the boards for parenting tips).
