Thank you to PPL Foundation for helping to power our Blueprint for Leadership (BFL) program through a $5,000 grant to advance inclusiveness and increased representation and diversity within our community. United Way’s BFL program prepares individuals from under-represented groups for community leadership roles by participating in a series of sessions focused on leadership, communication skills and nonprofit board governance. United Way recently celebrated 14 BFL graduates, who will serve as some of our community’s next leaders. PPL Corporation #pplcares

Kutztown area residents, we want to hear from you! We are holding a series of small group discussions with people throughout Berks County who would like to talk about their hopes for our community. Each Community Conversation is 90 minutes in length and is an opportunity for individuals to share aspirations for our community, the challenges you may face and what you believe might make a difference in strengthening our community. We look forward to learning from you. A strong community takes all of us, and it starts with U sharing your hopes, thoughts and comments as a part of this conversation. Together, we can make good things happen in our community. Mike Iorio of Dale Carnegie Training was back at United Way of Berks County this week to train two special groups of people. We are grateful to Mike for sharing his presentation skills with representatives from our agency partners and teaching members of Emerging Leaders United how to "Mix and Mingle Like a Boss."
