Kochi: IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for the next four days. The cyclonic circulation over south Gujarat and neighbourhood persists and is now seen at 3.1km above mean sea level. The off-shore trough at mean sea level now runs along south Gujarat-Kerala coasts. A cyclonic circulation also lies over East Central Bay of Bengal at 5.8km above mean sea level.
Yellow alert has been sounded for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod on Saturday.
Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on Sunday. Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod on Monday.
Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places in Kerala till July 8.
