In New Delhi's Rajouri Garden, Niraj Sabharwal, in his late 20s, was attacked with rods and blunt objects by a group in Subhash Nagar while going to meet someone on Friday night.

NEW DELHI: A man in his late 20s, Niraj Sabharwal, was attacked with iron rods by a group of men in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area on Friday night.
The incident took place in Subhash Nagar, where Sabharwal, who has a criminal record, had gone to meet someone.
He is currently receiving treatment at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
According to police, Sabharwal reported that he was beaten up with iron rods and other blunt objects.

The officer further added that Sabharwal has named some of the individuals who attacked him but did not provide a reason for the assault.
"Facts are being verified from the complainant and the persons named. Legal action will be initiated accordingly," said the officer.
