HISAR: Rao Inderjit Singh, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has put an end to speculations about him becoming the next chief minister of Haryana. He made it clear that Naib Saini will be the face of the BJP in the state as union home minister Amit Shah has declared him the next CM face in Panchkula recently and a decision has been taken by the party high command.
He was here in Hisar district to attend a program at the district bar association on Saturday.
There was a speculation that Rao Inderjit Singh, a son of former chief minister Rao Birender Singh, who has become the first Haryana politician to reach Parliament for the sixth time and made it to the Modi Council of Ministers for third consecutive term is annoyed with BJP after party announced chief minister Nayab Singh Saini as the CM face again for the election scheduled in October this year. “There is an indignation after BJP didn’t ensure my berth in union cabinet despite knowing that I am the oldest minister of the state (MOS) who ensured berth of MOS again and again for the highest time,” Said Rao, a veteran leader.
Rao Inderjit Singh has accepted the infighting within the BJP, saying that it is a normal phenomenon in any political party. “I had been in Congress for 34 years where I saw a factionalism and similarly infighting is there in the saffron party as well. The BJP is new in Haryana and infighting (groupism) will emerge and come to the forefront with the passage of time. I have faced factionalism in Congress as well and now the same is being faced to some extent,” said Singh.
Speaking on world heritage sites such as Rakhigarhi, Agroha and others in Haryana, “Rao Inderjit Singh said that if the state government is facing a financial crunch, they should handover these sites to us as we will develop world class sites for tourism spots.
