Ohio is having a very unusual year for tornadoes. More than 30 twisters have been recorded in the state through April 18, far more than in a normal year.
The clearest sighting for the Lyrids is in the Northern Hemisphere, but moonlight will interfere with viewing, according to the American Meteor Society.
