CINCINNATI (WKRC) - It's going to get wet. Storms will arrive in Greater Cincinnati mid-to-late afternoon Wednesday but more likely in the evening. Some could be strong to severe with damaging winds and heavy rain. The Fourth of July holiday doesn't look that much better.

Expect a high temperature on Wednesday of 93 degrees with a heat Index as high as 104. There is a heat advisory for the entire Tri-State until 8 p.m.

It looks like the best chance for stronger storms will come from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. There is a small chance of hail or a tornado. The area is in a "Slight" risk for severe weather, which is a level 2 out of 5 threat.

As this front stalls close to the area and eventually lifts north on Thursday, more scattered showers and storms will be possible for Fourth of July celebrations. Those storms might clear out in time for fireworks.

Then another cold front approaches on Friday. This will bring another round of rain and storms to round out the week, which could again be on the stronger side before less humid air again returns by the start of the weekend. All in all, it will be pretty active the next few days.
