CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The National Weather Service (NWS) has revised the tornado count from the May 7 storms.

The NWS added two tornadoes to the count and combined two into one path.

  • Added an EF1 tornado near Milton in Fayette/Wayne counties in Indiana. This is a new tornado confirmation.
  • Added an EF0 tornado in Warren County, Ohio, southwest of Lebanon. This is along US-42. This is a new tornado confirmation.
  • Extended the track of the EF1 tornado near South Lebanon in Warren County. The track now begins in South Lebanon itself. This is an update to a previous confirmation.
  • Combined two tornadoes near Morrow in Warren County into one single EF1 tornado. The original tornadoes were confirmed as "EF1 Near Morrow" and "EF0 2 NNE Morrow". The NWS determined that damage in these locations are part of the same tornado track. The track was also extended southwest to indicate that the tornado began in the village of Morrow.

Ohio has seen 56 tornadoes statewide so far in 2024. The average is 21 and the record is 62 in 1992.
