I'm a concerned parent who wants our children to receive a high-quality public school education that will enable them to reach their full potential. My husband and I own a small business in Las Vegas. I tutor for Classical Conversations, a national home-school group, in addition to being a wife, mother, and business owner. For the past five years, I've been a licensed Foster Care Parent and soccer coach in my community. I was born and raised in a traditional Latin Catholic family in Los Angeles, California. Alongside five siblings, I am a first-generation American with immigrant parents from El Salvador and Mexico. In 2005, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

• CCSD public schools are a disaster, ranked 49th in the nation. Let us raise the bar in terms of our values and expectations. Restore phonetic reading. Restore cursive writing. Restore classical math. Yes to history with the US Constitution. NO to CRT. NO to Common Core. NO more violence. Yes, to God Bless America.
• Prioritize reversing policies: no more restorative discipline, and credit recovery. Increase and expand advance placement, vocational, and trade programs.
• Prioritize teacher recruitment, training, and retention. Our schools must be safe and secure, and everyone must be held accountable. Politics should be kept out of the classroom and out of the curriculum; they are harmful to a healthy learning environment.

I'm passionate about education. Knowledge is power. Education impacts us all, families, quality of life, our neighborhood, and our state. Our educational system is failing to deliver high-quality education. I love this country, the Land of opportunity and when you do not teach and educate our most valuable citizens, our children, you are failing to provide opportunity.

The classroom is where our future lies.

I feel that providing safety, education, honesty, and love for the country are the essential obligations of someone elected to this post.

I'd like to leave a better world than the one we have now; all of our children deserve a better future.

I was seven years old when I saw the first teacher in space on television. Christa McAuliffe was the first American woman to be selected for space flight. In 1986, she was killed when the space shuttle 'Challenger' exploded.

The Indian in the Cupboard is my favorite book because it transports me back to my youth.
Ms. Vernon, my favorite third-grade teacher, read it to the class, and it has been with me ever since.

The primary role of a school board trustee is the oversight it provides of the school district budget, the hiring and oversight of the superintendent, and oversight of all necessary contracts.

Clark County Public Schools are a disaster, with a national ranking of 49th. For years, Clark County's education system has been near the bottom of the country. Math proficiency is lacking in three out of four CCSD students. Two out of every three third-graders have difficulty reading. Let us prepare our kids for their future with the solid education they deserve. Yes, to an America where all of our children have the opportunity through education to live up to their God-given potential. We can restore quality and high standards. No more violence in our schools, which means Restorative Discipline phased out and accountability will be restored. No more board members that risk our children's future. Restoring phonetic reading, reading with "books", restoring classical math, and getting rid of Common-Core math.

Restore phonetic reading; our students should be able to read at a college level by the time they graduate from high school. My goal is to bring back cursive writing and classical mathematics, which means no calculators. Provide dual credit coursework, advanced technical training, and vocational training in every school.

I have three elementary school-aged children. Due to the rise in violence and a lack of education in our schools, I am running as a concerned parent. I'm running as a concerned parent to have a seat at the table to work hand in hand with our teachers and administrators. I'm not seeking someone to blame; instead, I'm trying to improve a system that has been progressively eroding for decades.
I want to improve our teachers' working conditions so that they don't waste time in the classroom dealing with discipline issues, which takes time away from teaching our students. We must run on curriculum, common sense, accountability, and pro-life. There can be no more policies put in place that hurt our children. These policies that are currently in place are increasing the depression of our children at a rapid rate. No more suicides! Every life matters! We must stop the violence now! I want our teachers to focus on teaching and not on raising our children; that is our job as parents.
