|I was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. My parents worked extremely hard to make sure there was food on the table and that my brothers and I were always taken care of. As immigrants, it was a tough road and I didn’t attend the best school or live in the best neighborhood. However, my parents always wanted a better life for us, as every generation wants a better life for the next. With hard work and perseverance, I became the first in my family to graduate college in the United States.
Raising a son as a single mother, I instilled in him what my parents taught me: I always taught him that education is key to a secure future. With hard work and dedication, he will be the second one to graduate college in our family.
Our history shows that good education is key and it should be afforded to all children, no matter their background. Every child is our future, not only the ones that can afford it. I will fight to improve Nevada’s education system. I will fight for our children so that all of them have the ability, opportunity, and confidence to pursue their educational goals. I ask for your support, your voice, and your vote for Assembly District 21.
- Access to reproductive healthcare is a fundamental right and I will fight any effort to criminalize abortion in Nevada
- I’m a small business owner and the past two years have been a rollercoaster. It is why I was proud to support legislation that helped small business owners recover from the pandemic by providing over $100 Million dollars in grants. Small business are key to a strong, vibrant economy, and I am committed to helping small business owners throughout Nevada.
- The most reliable path to success in this country is through education. It was the key to my success and it’s an obligation the public owes to all children in this state - it’s an investment with a guaranteed return. I am committed to increasing accountability in our school district and will increase transparency to ensure our education dollars are spent in the class room and not bureaucracy. I support increased funding for our schools and finding solutions to hire and retain the best teachers.
Education is the key to a successful and safe community. That has been my model for as long as I can remember. Having a great school system with excellent teachers is vital to Nevada’s future, and for the future of our children. I know this first hand, as my son and I both received an education in this magnificent state.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
