My first career was as a CPA for 20+ years. I also obtained my real estate license in 1990 and after we sold the CPA firm I worked the real estate business full time. I opened my own real estate company in Las Vegas which I grew to about 80 agents. I later merged that company with Berkshire Hathaway (formerly Prudential) and now manage the Summerlin office of 250+ agents. I also have Kasama Property Management which oversees about 350 homes. I not only handle residential sales but commercial as well. I am also a permitted business broker. Heidi served as the 2018 President for the Nevada Realtors (NVR) and is also on the Finance Committee for the National Association of Realtors (NAR). She was also honored to receive the “Realtor of the Year” for 2018 by NVR and 2015 by GLVAR. Heidi also served as President of the Las Vegas Realtors (LVR) for 2014. She has also served on the Finance Committee, Forms Committee, Grievance Committee, Professional Standards, and MLS Quality Control sub-committee. Heidi has also served on her local church board as well.

After serving on the Legislative & RPAC committees for NVR it was alarming to see the lack of quality of some of the bills being put forth by the legislature and the lack of business acumen of some of the legislative representatives. I hope to contribute some of my business background to the process in Carson City, NV.

I am grateful for the support of my husband of 30 years, Peter, and our daughters.

  • To support the our small business owners, and all business owners to create a vibrant and active economy.
  • Our schools rank near the bottom nationally so I support our new per pupil funding for transparency and accountability. I also favor changes to our current school boards.
  • We have an alarming lack of health care workers in our state and I want to support policies that incentivize growth of health care professionals.

Expanding and diversifying our economy as well as improvements to our system of education and health care.

Our founding fathers who took a risk and gathered to create this great nation of the United States of America.

The ability to seek information on the topic and be open to listen to all sides.

Remember you serve the people and to hold the office with high regard and integrity.

A person who was honest, kind and fair to those whose paths I crossed.

I was very young and I walked in to the room and both my parents were crying. President Kennedy had been assassinated.

My first job was a 200 home newspaper delivery route. I sure had my share of run in with dogs!I wa

Bible. I draw daily inspiration from it.

My Fair Lady "On the street where you live" - We just saw the show

My parents were immigrants to this country and I lost my immediate family far too early in life and would like to have had my family around me for a longer time but it was not meant to be.

The governor should be a leader, but we need separation of these branches so we maintian checks and balances.

Economic diversity and improvements to education and healthcare.

Having a unicameral state legislature would make the creation and support of policy streamlined, but it would lack the checks and balances that are needed for our size government.

Yes, however I don't think it is mandatory. I do believe we need legisltors with business, management and or leadership experience.

Yes. As mentioned before we must work together with all parties to craft good legislation for our constituents.

I served on the Judicial, Commerce & Labor, and Revenue committees.
The ability to learn the importance of each committees function was a great educational experience for me.

I love jokes but can't tell them very well!

There should be a limit on emergency powers for the Governor. I believe no more than 30 to 60 days.

Yes. I am a REALTOR and we negotiate between the seller and buyer on every deal to reach a successful closing on each transaction. We need to understand this is needed to get policy work done.

  • Economic Opportunity: We need pro-growth policies that break down barriers for small businesses, create jobs, increase income, and keep taxes low.
  • Education: Our schools need more local control, accountability, transparency, and more school choice options for parents and students.  As a CPA, I audited numerous educational institutions.
  • Improving Healthcare: Reduce out of pocket costs for Nevada families and seniors.  Plus, we need to incentivize the best and brightest in the healthcare industry to come to Nevada.

Heidi is passionate about maintaining a thriving business environment, improving the state education system, and also improving state healthcare. For business, Heidi believes in not over-regulating industries with unnecessary red tape, but instead wants to keep sensible regulation that protects our community without destroying businesses. She also believes that one of Nevada's strong suits is its low cost of living, and she wants to maintain that. In regards to state education, Heidi thinks that Nevada should not settle for being at the bottom of the scoreboard. Our community's success rests on our ability to educate our future generations so that they develop marketable skills and have the freedom of choice to work in jobs with good pay. For our healthcare needs, Heidi wants to reduce the out of pocket costs for Nevadans and create an environment where people don't need to sacrifice peace of mind and financial security to maintain their health.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Nevada

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Nevada scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
