We stayed July 16-19 and have stayed many years over these dates. We were in room #11 and it as really loud. Kids running up and down the hall, yelling and slamming the door to their room. Above us was a rowdy family moving furniture around and stomping around the room in early morning and late at night. We were awakened. We also had the handicapped elevator outside our room that moans and squeals when operated. The parking lot outside our window was loud and active with kids running around, a car parked with all doors open and music blaring for 45 mins. Had to close the windows even tho the weather was nice.
We also booked for 3 nights in advance and paid $319++ including breakfast. We learned that friends who stayed ONE night over the weekend were quoted $269 including breakfast and another for under $300 and stayed one night. There was no manager in site the entire weekend and did not want to wait around until after 2pm to speak to one but this pricing is not right. We overpaid.

We have been repeat guests for several years and enjoy Higgins beach. This year, we were roomed on the first floor at the end of the all (#11). the noise was unacceptable. There was a family above us that banged and stomped non stop- woke us in the morning and were going at it at 11pm too. Sounded like they were dropping the furniture. There was a family across or near us on the first floor that opened and banged shut the door non stop and the kids ran up and down the hall talking loudly. You could not sleep through it. The handicapped elevator was out our window and very loud ( like a moaning/wining sound) and was used many times. the windows opened to the parking lot. Guests were shouting to eachother, starting their cars and hanging out with the radios blasted. We had to shut the windows and it was beautiful out and no need for air conditioning but SO LOUD and disrespectful.
I also learned that other guests were given lower rates than we were quoted. we stayed 3 nights at $319 ++ . One friend was at $269 including breakfast and another was also under $300 including breakfast. Both stayed just ONE night over the same weekend we were there. This is not right.
Should I have hung around the lobby to wait until a manager came in to discuss the rates? Should I really have to?

My daughter and I stayed at the inn July 10-15, 2022. We absolutely loved it! The staff were all so helpful and friendly. Our room was really nice, and we truly enjoyed walking to Higgins beach and spending time there. The restaurant, Shades, at Higgins Beach Inn is excellent as well. It was a perfect vacation, peaceful and quiet.
