Needed a hotel for an overnight stay while visiting son at college and booked on last minute site. This was the hotel that was returned for us and we had a great stay. Front desk staff was very pleasant and the room was great sized and comfortable. Location is across the street from grocery store and plenty of shopping minutes away. Downtown Portland and beaches only a short drive away. Would stay again.

the hotel is located on main road near shopping mall & restaurants rooms are large & comfortable equiped with kitchen the "continental breakfast" includes muffin & coffee can't understand how the can afford themselves calling it a breakfast

The day before I checked in, I looked around to see the best deal due to the holidays. It was a little pricey compared but got an award program that would help lower the cost in the end. The staff seemed helpful and kind. How ever the room wasn’t what I’d expect! Needs updating. But overlooking that, there were a few issues at hand. The beds were surprisingly comfortable.... but the heat decided to stop working!!! We tried several tactics to reset it, at first it worked the entire day, but when it got really cold, that’s when it failed to work, and thus we were freezing. Fortunately there was one extra room available which the lady was kind enough to give us. She checked to see if the heat worked first. Fortunately it did and we switched in the middle of the night. This room was better. But the remote to the tv had tape wrapped around it!! So it was kind of strange to see. Why? Broken? It seemed to not respond to the commands we were giving it. And had to literally stand by the tv just to get it to work. A few things in the bathroom were also missing. Like the soap. No soap? I went back into my old room to grab the soap and shampoo. Besides that everything seemed ok. My hopes when I check out, I will get a discount for the inconvenience of having to leave my room around 1030pm due to lack of heat.

Checked in and the room was not clean. There was dust and hair all over dresser that had tv and nightstands. Fridge was disgusting and did not work. After asking for a week to get a new fridge they moved a new fridge into the room that still had food from someone else in it and also did not work. They then brought in another fridge that was not cleaned out but at least it worked. The hotel reeks of smoke and is noisy. Asked housekeeping multiple times to come after 2 as I worked from 230pm-6am and needed sleep she walked into my room with me sleeping several times and then would get an attitude that I was in the room

We traveled to Maine and pre-booked this hotel in May. When we arrived in August, we were sent to our room which was not what we had booked. I went back to the front desk to show what room we booked online and he said that the room we requested was available when we booked but later filled, and our reservation for that specific room was useless. On top of it, there was food in the fridge which had not been cleaned out from the prior party that stayed there. Great look during COVID. As a “resolution”, they moved us into an identical room as the dirty one and offered $15 off our stay per night. We stayed that night and then left the next day to stay at a different hotel, one that honored our reservation. In full transparency, the manager comp’d the night we stayed, but due to inflated hotel pricing due to booking on such short notice at our new hotel, it cost us close to $1,000 more than the original reservation at this hotel. If you like dirty rooms and no guarantee on the room you booked, this is your hotel. Steer clear if that’s not your cup of tea.

Our stay at this hotel was so awful that my wife and I referred to it as the flop-house. Our room was dirty and smelly and the staff does not enforce the No Smoking policy. In fact, the staff smokes alongside the guests. We would have complained, but feared retaliation. We do not recommend staying at this hotel, unless you like cigarette and marijuana smoke coming through your bathroom vent.

Was a pleasant stay, very nice staff, clean, comfortable. Can’t Ask for much more! I enjoyed the kitchenette they offer, you have to request dishes, but you know they’re clean that way since they don’t let them sit in a cabinet until used. I had an awful experience at this hotel. Hotel had a bad smell and the bed was very uncomfortable. I tried to checked out right after i saw the room but the area was sold out. Next morning, @10AM, an hour before check out, house keeping starts knocking at my door. I was in the rest room getting ready around 11 AM when someone barged into my room without knocking. I stepped out and they were gone. I figured it was probbaly house keeping. Next thing the phone rings non stop and i get a knock right after. This was about 11:15 AM. I open the door and Lori at the front desk tells me checkout is at 11. I stay at hotels often for work and pleasure and i have never been harassed for being 15 mins past checkout. Barging into a guest room without knocking and then calling non stop and knocking my door. It was so creepy I left in a hurry.

This is a terrible hotel! My room was infested with fleas. Had to be moved, and ended up in a room that reeked off marijuana. Surfaces were gross (we clean with Lysol wipes upon entry due to the pandemic) and it looked like the room wasn’t cleaned in weeks. Complained to front desk twice, ZERO refund or compensation.
This hotel is gross and I would never recommend!

Bed missing a caster and tips back and forth. There’s broken trim, chipped paint, and exposed ac wiring. Lamps missing light bulbs and holes in chairs. Clock, phone, and vent don’t work. The “kitchen” has 2 gas burners that look like a fire hazard and 0 dishes or pans, available by request but not including soap or sponge. Worst hotel I have ever been to. Seems like a workaround for a slumlord to take advantage of people who don’t have another choice…

There is a bus line that goes around Portland, As for shopping you can go to the Shaws its a 10 of a mile. A fast 10 min walk. Down from that is a walmart, reataurants...taxi service..lyft,uber,taxi 207
