Lovely hotel

Reviewed Jun 14, 2024via mobile
Beautiful scenery of the beach. You can never wake up on the wrong side of the bed there. Location is also great pretty close to a lot. The rooms feel a bit old but I like the TV sets in it. Oh plus the Rum punch they serve as a welcome drink is absolutely fantastic

Aŕrived for a months stay at this hotel May knowing it will be closing soon. Our room was on the ground floor as requested & The shower worked well always plenty of hot water ,comfee bed and spotlessly clean and kept that way by our cleaning girl every day.

Loved the daytime acctivaty by the pool
CHANTAL and JERRY do a fantastic job entertaining all ages with fun games and quizzes and kareoke & Jerry often sang requests for people .
What a and great entertainment talent he has people would ask is JERRY here today.such a popular guy with the guests too

Alma Pamerla,&Joahanna were great waiteresses at breakfast always a smiling and happy.greeting from them three

Breakfast was on another level apart from the lady at the egg station who cooked my perfect poached eggs every morning
There were greasy hash browns The bacon was always over cooked burnt and rock hard would break up into pieces if you tried to cut it .Have to say most days was inedable There was very little fresh fruit on offer to the end of the stay there were some.yogut

Dinner was about the same as breakfast
Every thing over cooked dried up and burnt very little choice chicken in some form or fish Mac cheese was so burnt one day you could not get it out the serving dish alway served Rice of some form.
Very little choice of desserts some times all gone by 8.30pm

Beach resterant staff did not want to serve you would just turn there backs or say we dont have any.

Very little entertainment in the evening Apart from counrty night on Tueday which ended at 10pm and Kareoke on thursday which carried on longer due to jerry the entertainment guy doing it
other artists were awful and to loud when they bothered to turn up at all.

Like the comments in the previous report
I also had problems with the woman in reception attitude towards us. Equiring if I could book the Chic resterant for the saturday night and She snapped at me in an agressive manner " ITS NOT OPEN TOMORROW"
I said I was asking about Saturday not tomorrow.reply."BOOK FRIDAY"
This is not the first time This has happened with this receptionistshe has a bad attitude to guests

Thanks Chantal & Jerrys for the fun entertainment in the daytime
Alma Patrica Johanne and our super cleaning lady also jeffrey at watersports

Just returned from a two week stay here and have stayed here before a good few years ago. Yes, the appearance of the rooms/hotel is not the same as previous but where would be? My guess is the plan for redevelopment is partly due to this.

I visit St Lucia often, sometimes two or three times a year but this visit was a difficult experience at first, one staff members at the front desk appeared to take an immediate dislike to me, not sure why but it made me feel as though raising any issues I had was a waste of time, the staff member was just so dismissive and condescending.

Fast forward, it appears another staff member contacted senior management about the hostile behaviour and I was contact by Josh (I think his name was) and my gosh everything changed and for the inconvenience of some of the issues I was upgraded too a beachfront room. The room was amazing, some issues but we are where we are and I didn’t;t bother report them - the room was usable and comfortable with a beautiful view.

Nicole, Nicole, Nicole she is a real gem she does all she can to make you stay comfortable, I really hope she and many of the other staff are relocated to other nicer places when this hotel closes. All of other front desk staff are so lovely and welcoming, They all do such a good job I thank you all for making our stay enjoyable.

Food, dinner a little repetitive, having said that if you couldn’t find anything we were asked what it was we wanted and I guess if something simple it would have been made for us but we did not want to trouble anybody. This didn’t happen often, there is something for everybody but we were there for sometime so getting bored of the food is expected. Breakfast was great, lunch was good you also have the beach bar from 11-6 with some good food.

Drinks, good - daiquiris AMAZING

The hotel does need redeveloping, we were moved here when the other hotel closed and to be honest, what we paid for two rooms and three adults on a All Inclusive plan for two weeks you can not get in the Caribbean with access direct to the beach.

Swim-Up Bar… Try it you’ll like it.

If you are coming here, the holiday will be what you make it, there was plenty of sun loungers, plenty of beds and shade on the beach - yes things needs upgrading and they will be, just enjoy the island. The location is A* also be sure to attend the street party on a Friday.

Honest review.

Room tip: Be Positive, Don’t make whole stay about the hotel and you might be surprised, Attend the street party, be kind.

Just returned from st. Lucia staying at Mystique hotel by Royalton. After reading all the negative reviews I was worried about staying at this hotel. Needn't have, it was great! I really don't know what people are moaning about! Rooms are really spacious, clean and well thought out with tons of wardrope and separate drawer space. Lots of sockets in the right places. Aircon, fridge etc. clean too. Lovely view to the pool, which was huge and lovely, a great space for everyone to hang out with swim up bar and great cocktails.
The restaurant has such a beautiful view over the beach and sea directly in front, spectacular sunsets to watch from there!
The staff were all great and helpful! Nothing was too much trouble, got to keep our room till late afternoon the day we left, at no extra charge.
All guests were so friendly and all mingling having a laugh in a way I have never experienced before during my many travels.
The beach vendors were nice to talk to, didn't bother you if you didn't buy, would still talk to you every day. Very helpful too!
Food was plentiful and good.
There are many day trips you can go on, loved the catamaran trip down the western coast line, stopping off for mud bath, water fall shower, snorkeling. Probably loved the zip lining through the rainforest even more. Also the rum distillery.
There's a taxi guy called Ryan doing taxi trips anywhere you want for much cheaper prices than the hotel ones. You'll find him in a silver people carrier in-between Mystique hotel and Spinnakers restaurant on the beach. He's very reliable and helpful.
Friday street party is a must, great fun!
My guess is that the people complaining have paid a cheap price for a ,4 star hotel and expecting a 5* plus!
Everyone was feeling sad by the thought of this charming cosy hotel is going to be knocked down in favour of some huge impersonal resort.

Thank you to all at the hotel for making our stay so great!😊🌴🍹

The people match the beauty of this authentic island! You can sit back & relax amongst the beauty of the beaches & lush greenery. So much to do on the doorstep, walk into town (everyone will hi 5 u with a smile), grab a beer, shop, party on a Friday night (an absolute must), just go with the flow.
It's such a shame the mystique is closing...we had the most magical holiday made by all who work so tirelessly with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. From bar staff through to restaurant & reception, they were all amazing! The swim up bar staff were superb, always up for a good time, singing, dancing, quizzing. I cannot find a single fault! So sad that we can't return to this lovely hotel, it's like a family you want to go back & spend more time with, they are that good at making you so welcome. By far, the friendliest island I have ever visited. One love!

Room tip: Smile! Everyone here is so happy! Make sure you do the catamaran trip to the springs etc, the zip line through the rain forest is amazing too

What a fantastic hotel, this is a gem of a hotel. Yes it is an older hotel but this added to its charm. Rooms are huge, cleaned daily and bed was also huge and comfortable. All rooms have a view of pool and sea. Before we went we were worried by the negative reviews but have no idea what they were talking about as it felt like they were talking about a different hotel. The staff were so friendly from day 1 and this wasn't because we tipped them as we do this at the end of a holiday. The other hotel guests were also friendly and we made so many new friends who made our holiday special.
The staff would make different cocktails that were not on the menu. Every staff member we came across would welcome you with a smile and check you were having a good holiday.
The sea was a delight to take a swim in and walk along.
We did a few trips whilst there. We did a private taxi tour of the island and picked what we wanted to see and had an amazing day out. Highlight was the zipwire tour, I was scared as don't like heights or rides but was put at ease straight away and the guides made it so much fun.
We also wandered into Rodney Bay and went yo the Friday Street party. Such fun.
It is such as shame this hotel is being closed and demolished as feel it may lose its charm. Everyone we spoke to agreed and described it as paradise. It has the best beach of the island with fantastic views.
I would have returned if it was going to remain how it is. For those reading reviews and concerned, don't be it is amazing. I shed a tear or 2 when I left as we made such fantastic memories.
It is very hot there and you can burn under the shade and the clouds so take high factor sun cream. I made the mistake but Pierre the gardener got me some aloe Vera plant and explained how to apply and it worked wonders.
Big thank you to Marthalina
Johana, Patricia, Jonathan, Huston, Holland, Sharisa, jasmine, chantal to name a few staff members that made our stay so memorable.
