Very nice pool and beach area. Love that it is beach front and a close walk to downtown and other restaurants. We can not speak to the quality of food as we ate away from the facility for no other reason that we had friends we were meeting off location.
We upgraded to the ocean view room. The room is very spacious and clean and larger than I expected. Lovely over sized balcony to sit and watch the sun go down and listen to the waves crash.
The downfall was the room being the upgraded room with all the space, view, etc was over the pub which proved to be very noisy and not the quiet relaxing experience I had thought upgrading would have provided. The massive well designed bathroom was missing a key component that being a sound proof window from the bathroom to the outside hall. We could hear voices in the hall throughout the stay especially at night.
During our last night the hotel water supply was interrupted in the night, restored and then cut off again and not fixed prior to our departure. Although the staff provided free bottles of water to allow for brushing of teeth etc it was not pleasant to have no washroom facilities at the resort that could flush.
Last minor thing is the saving of beach chairs. This resort allows clients to save chairs by leaving a towel on it for an entire day. I know many resorts have this policy however it is one I personally think needs to be changed. We arrived prior to our room being ready and were allowed to go to the pool only to find a host of chairs with towels on them at the pool and beach with not near as many people in the pool or ocean to utilize the chairs. This is an easy fix that I wish all resorts would do. If a chair has a towel on it for more than an hour the staff should remove the towels. Once an hour walk about with a chart for 10 minutes would fix this, very easy. During our first day at the pool for over 4 hours there were lounges reserved with nobody coming back to them. That is ridiculous. This again is not a complaint just about this resort but all that do it.
Overall I did like this resort. I give it a 3/5 because it is not Sandals but the grounds are very nice, the pool fantastic, very nice beach and lovely rooms and very accommodating staff. I just wish the upgraded rooms were not in the noisiest part of the hotel and that there was more sound barrier from the hallway to allow for a really good quiet night sleep as well as back up water supply as other resorts have.

We arrived at the Mystique 7 days after they reopened from the covid shutdown.
Did we expect one or two teething problems, of course! Did we get them, not really no, but we spoke to other guests that got a few teething issues. Some brushed them off and put them down to the situation we are in and things needing to settle, others, well others acted as if they were royalty and went totally over the top!
But enough of that.
So let's get down to the hotel and it's location and facilities.
Upon arrival the hotel staff are happy to see you and , currently, enforce shoes and hands sanitation plus the wearing of face masks at all times. Checkin was fast and easy but I must of missed the $56 visitor tax charge when reading up on things, so be mindfull of that.
When we got to our huge garden view suite we were pleased and surprised at the size of it.
The rooms 1110 upto 1138 are situated on the garden and have the generators the other side, but don't let that put you off too much. You would have to be the lightest of light sleepers to hear it with 2 doors between you and your Aircon gently humming through the night.
The room was clean and spacious and what we needed.
The buffet options are very good and they have good selections most days (I'm vegetarian and my wife a meat eater). Breakfasts are plentiful with omelette, waffles, eggs, cereal, fruit, local delicacies and more.
Dinner is the same but with a whole range of local chicken ,beef, lamb and vegetable dishes.
There is an a la carte restaurant on site called chic which is very good, but you need to book in advance (once at the hotel). Make sure you go a couple of times as some of the dishes are divine!

The location of the hotel is lovely and I spoke to a couple of locals who said it has the best beach and it does, it's really good, beautifully clean and wonderful views. (Thats ignoring the same people who complained about little glitches, flicking their filthy fag butt's into the sand or leaving their drink cups on the beach for the staff to pick up!)
The big plus at Mystique is, no not the pool bar which is cool, but the staff. The staff are a credit to the management team (Jennifer and Gus i think). They can't do enough for you and genuinely want you to have a great holiday.
They are always smiling, always saying hello and making sure all was good.
We tipped most days (maid, bar staff, restaurant etc) but some told us they didn't. I guess it's personal choice.
The WiFi I a little flakey in places, but you don't need to be on your phone/smart device all day everyday....do you?

Overall, we loved our stay at the Mystique and will miss seeing Gus and his smiling team .

Ps - drinks measures are Large...you have been warned 😁

Just got back from a two week stay over Christmas and New Year with my wife and we can't speak highly enough of the hotel, staff, location and the amazing Caribbean feel to the place.

We chose to get married here and everything was stunning, especially the service from our wedding Co-ordinator Yasmine who couldn't do enough for us from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, thank you.

The location is perfect, right on the beach with some of the best sunsets I have seen, and I do like a sunset. The beach is clean and the sea is crystal clear.

The restaurant is very nice and the service from the chefs and staff is top notch, especially Marthalina who took very good care of us. Food was extremely tasty, and I particularly enjoyed breakfast, the omelettes were delicious. We dined at Chic a couple of times and again the food and service here was lovely. Gus is always around to say hello as well, he is a cracking guy. The beach bar also does nice food.

As previously reviews say, the Wi-fi isn't the best but if you are that bothered you can go and sit in the lobby and get it. Personally I preferred putting my phone down and getting to the beach so this wasn't an issue for me.

There were a couple of issues with the water during our stay. One night when there was no hot water and another when there wasn't any water for 12 hours but this wasn't the hotels fault and they called and put a letter under the door to apologise and explain the situation. They gave us extra bottles of water for the room on this day. We also got bottled water daily and if we ran out we were happy to refill using the taps in the room as the water is perfectly safe to drink. We changed some money at reception as well which they were happy to do.

The pool is nice and the swim up bar is brilliant where we loved having a few cocktails whilst sat in the water. All the staff here made very tasty cocktails but we though that Hilarios just edged the best ones. We did a boat trip to the waterfall and mud baths whilst we were there using the company next to reception and this was excellent, I would definitely recommend this.

Overall we loved our holiday to the Mystique and are already looking at coming back. Having been to various locations in the Caribbean before, this was definitely our favourite.

My boyfriend Mike and I stayed at this resort this past week for five nights in six days. We wanted to go somewhere that was very relaxing and slow pace and not a big party atmosphere and this was the place and it was perfect. They had some entertainment at the main restaurant every night with a singer and my boyfriend love the karaoke on Tuesday. We met some great people that were also vacationing the same time as we were. We had such a good time with those people and we wish to have as much fun as we did when we go on other vacations in the future.

The food was very good except for we were not a fan of Chic. The food was OK there but the other restaurants were so much better. The breakfast buffet was great. The drinks are awesome and the bartenders were so funny and everyone had great customers From the waiters to the staff to the cleaning crew. We had a little problem when we first got to our room where the latch was broken but they immediately fixed it. It took us a while to figure out the shower knobs but after we figured it out it was pretty simple ha ha we did not have any problems with bugs or having no hot water. Unfortunately there were quite a few customers that did not have much hot water. Also, you have to pay for bottles of water. I am not sure why this is because we did pay $100 extra a day for our all inclusive so you would think that small bottles of water would be included. But it is what it is and it turned out fine. The water that they have that is not in the bottle was safe to drink and it was good. Caused no issues.

All in all, I would give this resort 4.5 stars out of 5. This is only because the resort is a little outdated. Noticed our room wallpaper was coming off. Also, there were really no staff members that came up to us to ask for our drink orders or anything like that. We did have one staff member that came up to us to take our drink order but he never came back. So the rest of the time we just kept getting our drinks ourselves. I am not sure if that is how it works there but we were a little confused by that. But besides that and Also the amount of hecklers that came by us to try to sell us stuff, I would give this resort a two thumbs up. I will be back in the near future. Maybe in like five years ha ha. Thank you to everyone there that made our trip very memorable.

Very nice hotel in a lovely location, the beach is beautiful and there were always ample loungers both on the beach and by the pool. The grounds are beautifully maintained - very pretty gardens and the hotel rooms themselves, although a little dated, were perfectly clean and really large and spacious with everything you would need including hairdryer, toiletries, coffee machine, fridge, safe etc.

We didn’t eat in the main restaurant but had food ordered to the beach which was a lovely service and it was really tasty.

We would highly recommend the BBC cocktail in the bar - absolutely delicious!

Just returning from a one week stay at the Mystique. This is one resort after one week we had enough. The rooms are beautiful clean and everything you would need is supplied. Had issues of no or very little hot water repair man was sent immediately but took many complaints before it was resolved. This is a very small quaint resort. The only complaint we had is too quiet in the evenings. There needs to be some entertainment and a selection of it also. Many of the guests we spoke with had the same complaint. They really liked the resort but have never stayed at a place that was so quiet. The staff were wonderful, never encountered one that I could speak badly about. Keep in mind the drive to and from the airport is a killer. The roads are VERY twisty and it takes very close to 2 hours to get to the resort. The beach is nice but one thing to keep in mind is cruise ship passengers spend the day at the beach. The beach is fair to walk on has a little slope at the waters edge. There are some locals trying to sell their goods and just a simple no thank you works fine. The food is good but only one main restaurant but they do change things everyday. As I said before one week is enough at this place. They do try their best to accomadate their guests as much as they can. We went with Air Canada vacations and I would like to give a shout out for Sharma the AC rep she is the best rep we have ever encountered at any resort we ever went to. I can't see us ever returning to this resort saying that we did enjoy our stay and if anyone is looking just to relax with no night life this is the perfect place.

We were at the Mystique Royal for 2 weeks all-inclusive on Air Canada Vacations. Having read some of the recent reviews we were a bit apprehensive. However, we were pleased with our stay there.
Rooms – we had a ground floor suite which was well appointed and kept spotlessly clean by the wonderful cleaning staff. We had one issue with a slow draining sink and it was looked after quickly by the excellent maintenance staff.
Staff – very friendly, hard working and always willing to please
Food – Breakfast is buffet with lots of variety and you can get eggs cooked to your preference
Lunch – we ate at either the pool bar or the beach bar. Once again the food was always good
Dinner – in L’Epicure restaurant, 3 nights a week it is buffet with different themes (Italian, western) and the other nights are al la carte
On the all inclusive plan you are allowed to eat at the up-scale restaurant, Chic, once per week. We ate there once and it was an enjoyable experience. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent. We did not go back during our second week as we enjoyed the food at L’Epicure and like to sit in the warm open atmosphere.
Entertainment - In the evening most nights there is entertainment. We enjoyed it. It varied from steel drums to piano and singer. Very nice and it was over by nine or so. It suited us just fine. Each room has either a balcony or a patio so it is nice to sit out in the evening listening to the tree frogs or if you like to use the internet which we found much better than we expected

Beach – lovely long sandy beach for walking. The hotel has chairs and thatched palapas exclusively for the use of the guests. There are cruise ship passengers who come to the beach during the day but they did not bother us. They had access to the washroom in the resort but we never found that to be a problem either.
Pool and grounds – lovely landscaping with a unique pool. Lots of loungers around the pool area with umbrellas and a swim up bar.

Location – it is about a 1 ½ hour drive from the airport over St. Lucia’s very hilly, windy roads but the drivers who transported us to the hotel and back to the airport were very good and got us there safely.

We were originally booked to stay at the Royalton, but got redirected here with no choice of our own because the Royalton closed down. The resort is beautiful and so is the beach, but it is seriously lacking in amenities. There is no gift shop to pick up any basic necessities you may have forgotten. Whenever we asked for more towels, wash cloths, water bottles, etc., we were given a hard time. Room service wasn’t always available. Limited dining options and the food is okay. By the end of our trip, things weren’t even being restocked anymore like the water, coffee, and towels. Also, no alcohol is included in your room. Our bed was two twin beds pushed together. You would think being that we paid for a higher rated hotel we would have gotten some upgrade or benefit, but no, we got their basic room despite paying for the diamond club at the royalton.
The worst part is you can’t even go on the beach without being hassled by locals to purchase their handmade items, so my husband and I mostly stayed at the pool.
Another messed up thing is the woman behind the desk said we were not allowed to leave the resort except to go straight to the bank and back or we would get arrested. Turns out this is not true at all they just wanted us to spend our money there. The location of the resort is perfect! There are so many restaurants and shopping within walking distance, I wish we would have explored off the resort sooner but we were too worried about getting arrested.
The majority of the staff was nice and pleasant and made for a pleasant stay. The resort just doesn’t have the amenities of a five star luxury all inclusive resort like we paid for. One of the cab drivers told us the resort is actually more of a bed and breakfast and that before Covid most people would eat breakfast at the resort but eat lunch and dinner in town. This made more sense because we just felt like we didn’t get what we paid for. Long story short, it’s a beautiful resort, but if we ever return to St. Lucia, we will explore other accommodations.

Just returned from mystique. Enjoyed our one week vacation and wish we had stayed longer. We found the food very delicious at the main restaurant as well as Mahi. Staff are very friendly and work very hard. Jennifer who cleaned our room made sure it was absolutely spotless each day. Thank you! I had the Bliss spa treatment and wow it was amazing. Highly recommend it. Bar tenders Hilarious, Troy, Mara all work so hard to keep up but could use extra help behind the bar especially at the lobby. He was so busy and worked so hard trying to serve numerous guests as well as the restaurant. Kiera at Mahi was amazing. The cooks there know how to make delicious sea food and Roti. Overall, all of your staff were very friendly and always said hello and asked how our day was. I feel the resort was exactly what we expected. My only suggestions are bar service at the pool (hire more staff), patio doors in rooms are a bit heavy to open and close, security should be a bit more aware of people without bracelets using hotel facilities, “guests” in the women’s bathroom by the pool need to clean up after themselves. Otherwise we have no complaints. Can’t wait to return.

Sofa bed. It was only the two of us inour room but I saw many rooms at garden level open showing the Lshaped sofa we had (and that you can see in the pictures) laid as a bed. With this being said, you can’t sneak a 3rd adult in without telling them. I took a separate room for my teenagers, and although their room was much bigger than ours, it had a normal small sofa which could not transform into a bed

I did see a young family with a portable shade. The beach is pretty laid back so I can’t imagine anyone telling you to take it down unless you’re blocking their view :)
