About
In the middle of the incessant noise and the frantic activity of the centre of Barcelona, there is a restaurant that invites you to embark on a journey through a land of flavours. Petit Comitè summarizes the essence of Catalan cuisine, combining the best seasonal and locally-sourced products with a contemporary presentation. Led by the Michelin Guide star chef Nandu Jubany, our challenge is to collect the experience of the most traditional dishes, transform them with products from the forest, vegetable garden and the sea, and create a new appetising concept. This is how we bring to Barcelona the warmth, homeliness, closeness, and above all, the unique gastronomy that has been the hallmark of Can Jubany, Nandu Jubany’s restaurant in Calldetenes. Petit Comitè is an invitation to discover and explore the pleasure of good taste.

Excellent restaurant with high quality food with many gluten free options. Waiters are very aware of the gluten topic and treat you with total professionality. They make you feel special in a good way. Special mention for “Arròs del senyoret”.

We booked a table for 8pm which was the earliest available. Service was efficient, friendly, if not particularly warm. No one really proactively explained the menu or the wine list which is a book in every sense. Perhaps it's the language barrier, or that we did not ask any questions. Anyway, we decided to do the a la carte menu. We ordered the red prawn carpaccio and cannelloni with black truffle sauce to start, both were delicious. For main course we had the cod with pil-pil sauce and suckling pig with strawberry and onion salad. The cod was cooked perfectly but it was a tiny bit salty for our taste. The suckling pig was excellent, tender and juicy. The onion salad is really an onion puree, as a matter of translation. For dessert, we ordered the Catalan cream because we saw plenty of others ordering it, and it did not disappoint. By the time we left around 10pm, we noticed that most of the tables were filled with locals, so that's a good sign. Would definitely recommend.

Uninspired, over-priced food. We went here with relatively high expectations. Granted, the restaurant is located on a charming side street. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us for about 5 minutes. Not a good start. We each ordered the seasonal menu and 1 sangria and an old fashioned. A restaurant of this calibre should know that an old fashioned is made with bourbon not whisky, and yet... I'm not going to run through what we ate, but I will say it was annoying that the waiter pretty much whispered what we were being served every time, so I couldn't hear anything he said. The food just didn't hit it out of the park - by a long shot. I found it to be a notch above generic. And the bill irritated me because I don't feel it was worth what we paid. There are plenty of great restaurants in Barcelona. Go elsewhere.

Went with colleagues and we all tried the 88 Euro tasting menu. Started with foie gras (OK but have had better), shrimp carpaccio (tasteless and very disappointing). Then moved to the "signature" pasta with truffles which was dry and not very good (others in our group liked it more than me). So was pretty negative about the place until the mains arrived. The sea bass was superb and the veal very good. Great wine list (but you would expect that in a place like this). Service a bit slapdash for somewhere this expensive - some people did not want foie gras and asked for something other than the salad offered as an alternative, were told "no problem" then the salad arrived. The waiter also didn't bother telling these people that there was quite a lot of foie gras in the pasta dish. So though there were good things, overall this was a disappointing experience

It is difficult to highlight what is better in Petit Comite: the food? Outstanding. The Service? Outstanding? The wine? Outstanding. And the decoration? Also outstanding. After the courtesy salmorejo taste, we had the tartar (duo of tuna and branzino), the tomato and cod salad, scallops (vieras), and baby squid. Difficult to say what was better. The tomato salad was spectacular (and yes i love tomato….but this was a different league). The tartar also very good, but if i have to choose one to replace in a second visit this would be the one. And between the vieras and the squid I guess up to your taste but none of the, is goig the defraud you. All was accompanied by one of the best Albariño bottles i have had in years (SanAmaro) served at perfect temperature by an able sommelier. All for US$217.

I celebrated my birthday with friends at Petit Comité, drawn by its positive reviews and the reputation of the Chef. The interior and atmosphere were lovely, seemingly designed to offer guests a unique gastronomic experience. However, the reality fell short. The service was mediocre. While the staff were welcoming, they neglected to remove empty glasses from our table after the aperitif, and nobody offered to pour wine. It was challenging to get the attention of the employees. The only thing that caught our attention was the unhappy face of the Chef, who peered at guests through the open kitchen window. Not the most pleasant experience. The food was passable but nothing exceptional. It appeared that their approach was "either you like what we cook, or you leave." Two out of our six dishes were terribly oversalted, to the point where salty became bitter. Instead of simply replacing the dishes, the manager argued that we did not understand the true taste of Catalan cuisine. While that might have been the case (not sure), it would have been helpful to receive a heads-up if the dishes were not intended for a wider audience. We had to insist on having the dishes removed from the bill. The desserts were underwhelming, especially the signature crema catalana. The traditional version would have provided a more satisfying experience. I can't say that my night was ruined, but the overall experience prevents me from recommending this place for a visit. And that's disappointing, considering our high expectations prior to the visit.

The food was delicious - fresh and traditional Catalan ingredients cooked to perfection. I had the lamb and enjoyed every last bit. They also have a wonderful selection of wines. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

This was first night in Barcelona after a short journey from Liverpool and although we hadn’t booked this restaurant they found us a very pleasant table and we settled in for the evening. We started with Iberian ham and bread with tomato, followed by cannellini and a duo of sea bass and tuna tartare. For mains we had breast of duck cooked pink and hake with mild creamy sauce. The staff were friendly and courteous and the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. This is our third visit to Barcelona. We will return to this excellent restaurant on our next visit.

This restaurant is really one of the best refined restaurants in Barcelona. There were lots of special on a separate menu and every dish is available as a half portion for tasting. There were lots of appetisers you can order by the piece. The oysters were phenomenal as were the anchovies. The cannelloni was a house special and absolutely delicious. The red prawn tartare was deliciously fresh but a touch overwhelmed by the soy sauce. Main courses of the seabass and suckling pig were perfect. Lots of desserts that were tempting and we settled on the 70% chocolate rendition which was really good. A truly amazing restaurant.

The service excellent. The air conditioning clearly not working so why not say so. Our food great save for one choice probably not to do with cooking but choice! Everything else exceptional, service wine list etc. Unfortunately at 200+ euro for 2 spoilt by air conditioning not working which is not fair on us as customers or staff or the quality of the food.

I went for dinner with business partners as I was surprised. I loved the food, very tasty and well finished catalan cousine. The service is also great, a surprise based on the average service quality on Bcn. I didnt pay, so I have no idea if the price is good or too expensive

Visited Petit Comité twice in conjunction with our daughter´s graduation dinner, and out of all the restaurants we tried in Barcelona (including 4 different Michelin star digs), this is the place she wanted to celebrate her graduation at - and it was a great choice! She wanted traditional yet stylish Catalan cooking with excellent raw materials and this was a great choice: everything very fresh and well-cooked, preserving the essence of "typical Catalan cuisine" yet with a modern touch. The meat and fish dishes were all excellent, as were all of the appetizers and deserts (particularly the Crema Catalana mousse - wow!!!). The only so-so dish we felt was the rice dish, which was served a bit cold and undercooked (and I have been making paellas and rices over woodburning barbecues for over 35 years, so don't tell me it is supposed to be slightly undercooked - I know the difference!), but perhaps that was just a glitch on that particular day. Everything else was wonderful on both occasions, with attentive service and classy surroundings, so this is definitely a safe bet for old-school Catalan cuisine!
