...is actually 50 meters down Calle Romero and has recently opened. It belongs to the same family as "Casa Pepe de la Juderia" which has a tapas bar on the ground floor and a restaurant part across many fllors. So much for clarification! Las Tapas de CPde la J. is modern, tastefully decorated, offers tapas and raciones at a reasonable price level and has convinced us twice in the past days. Our waitress Rocío did a marvellous job in recommending us tapas and Montillas (the local version of sherry) and showed creative talent in decorating plates with signage specific to the day or origin of the guests. Nice idea and worth a special thank you!

We arrived and mentioned to the waiter we had booked online. It was a good job we did as we had entered the tapas section. He quickly realised we wanted the full a la carte and we were directed to the correct restaurant a short walk away. We had a wonderful meal with all four of us enjoying every morsel. Great evening.

We ate here twice while we in Cordoba and very much enjoyed both meals. There is both a dining room and a tapas section which is less formal with a less expensive menu. We had an excellent grilled Iberian pork in the dining room on our first night (as well as a very good seared tuna dish). The tapas version we had on the next day was less expensive but not as remarkable, so if you want to see the kitchen at its best go to the dining room.

Having eaten at four tavernas and as many bars over the last four days in Cordoba, this was a disappointment. The food is well cooked, but seriously overpriced: the issue of value for money may be less if you choose not to eat tapas, if you do the range is very limited if you don’t want meat, and the portions were risible. We had a hard time finding good options to eat: we weren’t offered a wine menu, though the wine but TV W glass was good. The waiter said the anchovies dish was too small to share: he wasn’t joking, it was one fillet on a finger of toast. The asparagus dish at €8 (media) was one egg, eight halves of asparagus, and some piped pork purée. Very disappointing, you needn’t be

This HUGE restaurant located on several floors sectioned out into smaller dining-rooms was a massive disappointment as service was dreadful (at best). The food was 'good' (not great or memorable) but take care as you might be charged for something ordered which is never delivered............we were!! Perhaps Tapas in the small bar would have been a better option?? There are other better quality restaurants in Cordoba which are also more sensibly priced..........

Eating inside is not comfortable. Food was ok, but have had much better in Cordoba. The waiters are very pushy, the meal was very rushed and not an enjoyable experience. Have told our hotel NOT to recommend unless a client wants fast food!

Following recommendation by the concierge at our Hotel. Las Casas de la Juderias, Cordoba. We decided to indulge in a full meal as exception to our usual Tapas, Coffee and Cognac whilst walking around the City. A great decision! The food and wine were excellent! We enjoyed sharing our starters. Aubergine Fritters with Honey. Salmorejo, ( a thick cold tomato soup with Iberico Ham and egg,) Bread with the finest Virgin Olive Oil, and a lovely medium Rioja Main courses were both pork but what pork! Iberico. Free ranging animals and acorn fed, simply the finest. My wife had shoulder of pork and I enjoyed a fillet. Both were simply served with small boiled potatoes, green peppers or beans. The flavours of both meats were unbelievable and sharing was a double delight! Puddings, ( Postres ) were Rice Pudding and a superb Cheesecake! The food was excellent, the restaurant is delightful and the staff so polite and helpful! A ‘must do’ if in Cordoba , the Old Jewish Quarter! Margaret and Richard Beavan. Newport, South Wales. UK.

the concierge from our hotel...casa de la judería recommended this restaurant to our daughter and her husband the day before we met them in this hotel. they were also with the almost 1 year old daughter. but as proven over and over in spain...that is no problem. the booster chair called 'trona' was available and our grandchild was welcomed. also 'miguel' the waiter and team were AWESOME. the appetizer eggplant with a molasses sauce (i think to remember) was something else! yummy! i usually do not eat eggplant but this was really good. all the other dinners were served without long waiting time although the restaurant was totally full and hopping. this restaurant must have an awesome kitchen chef and team! we dined another evening. thank you MIGUEL. Gracias...Chefs!

I was a little worried that due to the position this restaurant might just cater for tourists and not be great. We were really pleasantly surprised. Our waitresswas from Holland and although I cant remember her name I will always remember her fantastic, friendly service. She ensured we did not over order and she also changed our wine when the first bottle I ordered I just didn't like . The aubergine with cane sugar syrup was so tasty and beautifully cooked, crisp and not at all oily . For main course we ate sea bass and pork.... both dishes were delicious. This was nicely topped off with a small glass of heaven which is Pedro Jimenez liquor.....sweet, warming and ever so slightly addictive.

Service was rapid and friendly, and the atmosphere on the rooftop was great, especially as no smoking was allowed. We really enjoyed our meal that included fried eggplant with a molasses drizzle to start. I then had homemade (thin) cannelloni filled with duck confit and covered with bechamel de foie (delicious!), while my husband had grilled beef sweetbreads which he loved. We then shared a 1/2 racione of Iberico ham as a "dessert". They have a fairly extensive wine list that is reasonably priced.

We had been recommended Casa Pepe by friends. It was our last night in Spain, so we thought we'd enjoy an actual restaurant experience as a change from the more informal eateries we had been enjoying. We were not disappointed. After enjoying an aperitif in the intimate, locals' street bar, we moved up to the rooftop terrace with it's view of the Mesquita Torre, colourful paintwork and white linen tablecloths The charming and attentive service then helped make this a special meal out for us. We took the local, dry white verdejo-stle wine and were served with deep fried aubergines with truly gorgeous bread and local olive oil while we awaited our main. This was a grilled fresh, whole seabass, with salad and a medley of mixed, delicately spiced, vegetables. We finished with coffee and complimentary iced limoncello (which tasted great on a warm holiday evening and sealed a 5 star rating that was well deserved anyway!) Whilst the cost of the meal was predictably a few euros more, we actually found it exceptionally good value for what it was.

***Attention*** Don't eat here. Service was HORRIBLE, and food was not even close to a Michelin Star. We felt like we were bothering the server who did not take time to explain menu, they even had the audacity to charge for the bread we didnt even ask for, was a $$ number mil. This is the first place in Spain to EVER ask me if I was ready for the bill - won't be back even if it was free- Basura!

The staff was very attentive at all times and they tried their best to make us feel comfortable. The recommendations by the waiter were fantastic and we loved all the food. The price we paid at the end was just right for what we had. We had "ensalada de salmon", "salmonetes", "arroz de chocos con salsa verde" y "sanjacobo". Everything was delicious.

We were expecting great things from this restaurant but the food let it down. The service was good. Crisp white tablecloths and our waiter was attentive. We ordered the burrito with tomatoes which I found tasteless and expensive at E16 and my fella ordered the fillet steak on the menu as lomo bajo de vaca at E44. My fella started eating it and it was full of chewy fat so we called the waiter over and asked if he had mistakenly given us the wrong plate as it wasn't fillet. He was adamant it was and did nothing to remedy our disappointment with the plate. I never mind paying for quality but this meal totally underwhelmed us and of all the places we visited over a 2 week period it was the most expensive for inferior food. Would not recommend

Having spent a few minutes completing a restaurant questionnaire received at the time of booking, which seemed more concerned about any possible dog, I was disappointed that they had totally ignored the fact that the dinner was to celebrate a birthday of my wife which I mentioned on the questionnaire. I cannot fault the surroundings, service, value or portion size, the food was nothing special but I don't go out to a restaurant to share the experience with animals. When some diners and their dog were seated at an adjoining table, we were not asked if we had any concerns or allergies to animals. My wife is allergic to dogs. The position was made worse when, while at our table, I received an email from the restaurant wondering why I had failed to show up although upon arrival, our booking had been confirmed.
