We splurged on the Anahita Suite to have the terrace with beautiful views of the bell tower and the cathedral. It was well worth it even though it was very cold for us to sit outside.

The suite is very nice. The only problem we encountered is the lack of heating in the bedroom and the bathroom. The only area that got enough heat was the living room. We only stayed two nights so we made the best of it.

Breakfast was included. It was a bowl of breads and a bowl with ham and cheeses. You could ask for coffee or hot chocolate that you had to make from a powder. They also had juices. Not the type of breakfast we would have liked, but we enjoyed it.

The place is very cozy and very clean. The staff is very nice.

The only issue we had was that when we arrived the taxi would not go through the street where the hotel is located because it is very narrow. So he dropped us off at the corner and we had to drag our suitcases through the uneven stones on the road.

When we arrived at the hotel door we had to carry our bags up a a few steps then ring a bell to be let in. We didn't know this so we stood there for a few minutes trying to figure this out. There was a camera pointing at us so we assumed someone knew we were there. After a few minutes we found the box where the button is and still had to wait.

We were buzzed in after a few minutes, but nobody came to help us carry our bags up another couple of large steps and through a courtyard of uneven stones that again had a couple of large steps to the reception area. There were two guys sitting there apparently more involved in a computer issue than their guests, one named Alex who checked us in and gave us very helpful information about the area.

When we checked out we had asked for a taxi and was told that the taxi would stop in front of the hotel. It did not. It stopped a little further up because the driver said that he could not open the car doors if he stopped in front of the hotel.

The female employee that checked us out did not offer any help with our suitcases nor did she look for someone to help us.

Again, we had to drag our suitcases down several steps, through the courtyard and down four more steps to the street then drag them to where the taxi was. The driver asked us where was the "moso" to help us with our bags? Good question.

I hope the hotel reads this and realizes what a hazzle is it for their guests to get in and out of their hotel. They need to consider having someone always available to assist their guests

We enjoyed our stay, but will consider a more accessible hotel next time we're in Cordoba.

Dear TravelLover, Thank you for rating us and for taking the time to share your experience with us and TripAdvisor users. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our junior suite with terrace Anahita, overlooking the Mosque/Cathedral and its famous bell tower like in hands reach. With regards to the breakfast, it is a courtesy of the house, not included in the room rate, but we do offer it as an extra service to all our guests. Due to the health measures, we have had to adapt to the circumstances and prepare individualised breakfast for each room, consisting of a plate with various breads and pastries, another one with a selection of Iberian pork products (pork loin, ham, salami) and an assortment of artisan cheeses from Zuheros, a village located in the province of Cordoba. Apart from a bowl of fresh cut seasonal fruits, we also offer a wide range of hot and cold drinks, freshly brewed coffees, teas, chocolate, juices, etc. a wide range of additional products (yoghurt, cereals, sweets, sausages, spreads) and to complete the breakfast offer, we have a range of cook to order hot dishes, fried eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, or omelette. However, we are always open to requests from our guests, which our team of professionals always tries to satisfy within our possibilities in order to satisfy all our guests demands. Regarding the issue with the suite cases, we must state out that the protocols and the strict sanitary measures implemented by all our staff, does not contemplate at this moment of time to carry any suitcases. While our guests are in Recepción with the check in process, we then disinfect them before taking it up to the rooms and try to have them there before they arrive. All our staff are trained following the preventive measures for the protection against covid adapted to the guidelines published by the labour and health authorities to ensure the implementation of appropriate hygienic and organisational measures, complying with the protocols published to date ensuring health, and peace of mind to all our visitors. By doing this, we prioritise hygiene as much as possible and try to prevent a possible contagion for guests, staff, and family members, without to mention a closure and confinement of 14 days with what this can mean for everyone. With regards to your journey, we are in the heart of the Jewish quarter of Córdoba, a millenarian historical city, and as in all zones of the historical areas around Spain, the streets are narrow and dressed by stones, as it was during all its history. Our courtyard, like all typical courtyards of the historical buildings in Córdoba, is covered by stones with its geometrical figures and images. In fact, our courtyard, like many parts of our building, is protected by the Historical Treasury Department of the Spanish Government. With this said, not every taxi driver is keen enough to drop our guests at the front door, but if you ask them to drive you to Calle Encarnación, if you consider to stay with us again, they will drive you straight to the front door, without having to carry your bags 30 meters where taxis are used to drop all guests.

We arrived to a warm welcome and immediately felt we had chosen a perfect place to visit the beautiful city of Cordoba. This small hotel is in a brilliant location, very close to the mosque and yet is an oasis of tranquility with comfortable rooms decorated sympathetically to the old town and very elegant. The staff couldn't have been more helpful offering advice on where to go and what to see.
Breakfast was served in the courtyard and was delicious with delicious fresh fruits and pastries. Somewhere we hope to return to.

We had a suite in the hotel and enjoyed it very much. Staff is very friendly and helpful and both the room and the public areas are decorated and maintained at a high level. Dinner on the rooftop terrace was very enjoyable. We certainly expect to be back next time in Cordoba.
The only negative is the breakfast - average at best, particularly at this price level. Room prices are quite high, and certainly at the upper end of the range in comparison with similar hotels we visited.
Note that the Mezquita parking garage will likely be full when you arrive, particularly on weekens, so be prepared to park elsewhere and take a taxi to the hotel.

Lovely small hotel close to the cathedral mosque with a delightful patio area as you enter and very friendly service. We stayed in the Rubazan suite for 2 nights. Although the room itself was quite small, particularly when you are living out of suitcases on the floor, it was well presented & had everything you’d need for a short break. The big advantage of this room is the fabulous roof top terrace which is almost as big as the room itself and comes with a double sun bed & 2 chairs. After a morning tour it was great to sit in the sun and look out over the roof tops. Even the dodgy Wi-fi and cramped breakfast room didn’t concern us – the roof terrace made it a 5 star stay for us.

If you want an impeccable property with character in he heart of the historic part of town just minutes from the Mezquita then this is the property for you! It is designed with the charm and feel of the area with quiet little corners, a beautiful courtyard and a rooftop terrace with incredible views. The managers take great pride in providing the best hospitality possible complete with a fresh flower on the bed to welcome you to your room. Huge layout for breakfast, with both hot and cold options and managed with covid in mind to keep everyone safe. Our room (#3, Leyla) was lovely with a king sized bed, sitting area (by the way fresh fruit complimentary) and a huge bathroom that included a tub as well as shower. The staff was helpful before we arrived answering any questions we had in a timely manner and even purchasing our tickets to the mesquita on our behalf. They spoke very good english. Valet parking was not running due to covid but they gave very specific directions with options. We chose to limit our luggage (used day packs and left main luggage in the car in secure car park) so it was an easy walk from the parking garage to the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel enough. We will return in a heartbeat and recommend it to our dearest friends and family. It is a very special place.

This was our second stay at this hotel after previously staying out of necessity when Spain went into lockdown.

Upon arrival, this property really impresses with its gorgeous shaded courtyard (with the option of outdoor dining) as well as other features such as a back door to the lovely Calleja de las Flores (which means you can sneak out and take pictures before the crowds descend!)

We really liked our stay overall, and the staff are very accommodating and professional. The only reason for the four stars is that we didn’t like our room this time as much as before, when we were located on the first floor. This time around, we were accommodated on the ground floor, which is perfectly fine and has no trouble re noise or anything, we just preferred the decor in the previous room which had more art, vases etc. we found our room this time a little plain. It should be noted that since my mother was recovering from a hip injury, they likely assigned us this room to make it easier for her, which we do recognise and appreciate. Our only tip would be to perhaps give room 1 just a tiny bit more love decor-wise.

The rooftop is so worth visiting and enjoying a drink on with wonderful views of the old town and Mezquita. The breakfast was also very impressive, and overall we were really struck by the value for money. A really tasteful base whilst visiting Cordoba.

A very charming, historic boutique hotel in a great location for sightseeing in Cordoba. We stayed in a suite that wrapped around one of their lovely courtyards where you could also dine for an open air experience. They also had an inside restaurant that served wonderful breakfasts included with our stay. You could also head up to the rooftop terrace to eat, enjoy some cocktails, or just take in the gorgeous views of the city. The rooms were comfortable and very well appointed with unique design pieces that highlighted the city's history. All staff members were extremely knowledgeable and attentive to service. The concierge team was helpful in recommending and booking restaurants and suggesting daily sightseeing options. A great place to stay to really get a true feel for Cordoba.

Location is fab. Travelled with small baby and we managed to drive and unload easy enough and then go on to park the van in a location about 10 minutes walk away. Lovely hotel. Super clean. Staff super helpful and special thanks to Alex who looked after us. Centrally located so great for a short visit - we only had one night and was easy to get around on foot and explore. Wish we had more time.

Balcon de Cordoba is a jewel of calm, exquisite taste, careful service, and excellent food. With only a dozen rooms, you feel immediately sheltered from the crowd and at home in its generous dining space or namesake rooftop terrace offering unbeatable balcony views of the city. As soon as you walk through the gate, you find yourself surprised to feel selfish pleasure that Balcon de Cordoba cannot be reached by car - a consequence of its location in the oldest quarter and a feature that protects its delightful tranquility. The rooms are lovely, and the staff is exceptional. The owner’s commitment to excellence is reflected everywhere.

I had a fabulous stay, Balcon de Cordoba is just about everything I most love in a hotel. The location is superb…. minutes walk from superstar attraction, the Mezquita-Catedral, in addition to the other major delights of Cordoba. The entrance is a discreet, blink & you’ll miss, buzz to enter door, on a narrow calle within the old quarter. Your first impression is the beautiful, immaculately kept garden courtyard, a gorgeous space where you can take breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks. Check-in was friendly & helpful & staff contact continued in this vein throughout the stay. Having just 10 bedrooms, this is a personal, boutique experience, with staff who care about the guest experience. All the bedrooms look delightful, but I was especially lured by Room 6, ‘Ruzbahan.’ This little beauty features a cosy sleeping area with balcony doors overlooking Calleja de las Flores, plus a cute wooden staircase leading up to a good sized roof terrace, complete with day bed, table & chairs & mega views. Tea/coffee making & a mini-fridge, in addition to a generous array of toiletries are provided. A further feather in the cap of the hotel is the rooftop restaurant, Pairi Daeza. With just 7 tables it feels like a secret find, & as a resident, it’s yours whenever you wish to pop up, be it coffee, vino, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food was very tasty, accompanied by great wines & superb service, not to mention the magical, close up views of the Mezquita. Meals can also be enjoyed in the aforementioned patio garden, or adjacent conservatory style dining room. Email comms prior to arrival were prompt & helpful & the hotel is well geared up for arranging tours etc.
Top choice in Cordoba.

Sorry I don't know but I cannot imagine a bus in the old city. They probably stop on the other side of the river. Best ask hotel but be aware the taxi takes you for a long drive round town to get to hotel when it is only 40 yards from the centre square/mosueq/catherdral.

Forgive my previous answer. I thought you mentioned the hotel in Madrid. For Cordoba there is absolutely no need to have a car. You can cover all of the historic sites easily by foot. I would notify the hotel and inquire about where guests can park their cars. The hotel we stayed in was located on a very narrow street where most cars on the larger side would not be able to travel on. A few blocks walk opens up to the areas where parking would be available, but I'm not able to give you exact locations. Definately call the hotel and inquire from them. The staff is amazing.
