Great spot for the Blue Mountains, Collingwood, the Bruce Peninsula and surrounding attractions
The location is excellent, perfect for accessing Collingwood, The Blue Mountains plus many other interesting spots like Tobermory and Wasaga Beach. And The Village is a great place to be based, with some good restaurants and interesting shops. The home we stayed in we rented through Vrbo and was managed by Vacasa. I was a really nice 2 bedroom home, with 2.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen, large great room and patio with BBQ. And it was walking distance to the Village.

    Just ok
I really wanted to love blue mountain and was very excited to go. The area is beautiful and if you are very outdoorsy then some of this review might not apply. Also I can’t speak to the village during skiing season. The village is cute but quite lacklustre. Everything and I mean everything is over priced as to be expected in a tourist area. I purchased the play all evening as we had spa appointments in the am. I don’t recommend as the pass starts at 3 and lines start closing at 7 for most rides on a Saturday. We waited an hr for both the coaster and zip lining and only did or had time for 3 of the activities. Passes are astronomical in price considering what you get and the time you get to do it in. I think I could handle all of that but what was most appalling was some of the activity staff attitudes. On several occasions I witnessed them being so callous and rude with patrons. One lady was maneuvering her child’s stroller to get off the gondala and the attendent was very impatient with her. On two other occasions patrons were asking why the lines were closed so early when they just bought their pay all evening passes. The attendants commented “not their problem we need to go home” personally why are you selling passes to people when you know the rides will close early due to extensive lines??? From an activity perspective I was disappointed and celebrating my husbands birthday there was a let down. From a nature perspective blue mountain can be beautiful. Come for the day and come early or during the week to avoid lines. Probably wouldn’t do again unless there was a really good deal or package.

A nice place to visit but parking is no longer free ???
$7 an hour to park!!! When did this happen??? A friend and I went to the village to shop and check out the Christmas Gift and Craft Show. We live 30 away and visit the village a few times a year. How is that going to work for skiing??? I won’t be back anytime soon….

    Great for convenient skiing
We visited Blue Mountain while staying in Canada for two separate days of skiing and snowboarding. We had pre-booked everything (ski/snowboard wise) as we weren't sure how busy it was and collection and check in was really quick and easy. It is expensive for skiing and snowboarding but then it is everywhere really. I had a private lesson as it had been a while and the instructor was excellent - I cannot remember his name but he was really great. I also really appreciated the number of green runs as I was very nervous about returning to skiing. We ate in the village at one of the bars/restaurants and again this wasn't cheap but as expected. The food wasn't anything fancy but was enjoyable all the same. There was a real mix of shops and good for a wander round at the end of the day. The attraction for us was that firstly it was public so that we could come and do the odd day of skiing/snowboarding while we were in Canada but also it is really convenient, to park, walk up and get on the chair lifts. I would definitely visit again if I was in this part of Canada.

    Clean the damn place
The room itself was good, a lot of space. But how clean it was? Absolutely disgusting. There were stains on the cups, table, toilet, even the damn bedsheets. And there were even crumbs in the fridge. I don’t know if they’re too lazy, or just too dumb to know how to clean properly.

    Beautiful but crowded
The village itself is lovely. Reminds me European ski town. We found a free parking spot right at the bottom of the village which was perfect! Lots of shops coffee shops and restaurants. We enjoyed just pooping in and out exploring. Since we were there on a long weekend and the place was packed. There were 30 min wait times for many restaurants we considered for late lunch. We got a day activity pass, and although the activities were worth it, the lineups were loooong and we didn’t manage to do everything we hoped to. Tip: Go early in the morning, don’t go on long weekend.

Really nice little resort, with access to Collingwood and Tobermory.
We went up to the Blue Mountain resort in the summer (2023). My elder daughter, my wife and I, plus friends visiting from the UK, all enjoyed the stay. We took a side trip up to Tobermory and a boat ride to look at some of the wrecks in the area: it was pretty interesting, but the weather did not exactly co-operate (rather mizzly). We really enjoyed the BMR, had meals at at couple of the restaurants in the resort, plus one outside at a marina. We would certainly go again, if the opportunity arises.

Great little find - interesting to see ski slope without the snow!
Not in the village as such, but the ski resort is up the road. It was a lovely way to see the ski slopes - in the sunshine! Very strange to walk around the ski resort in shorts and tee shirts. The chair lifts were there and the sign posts to direct you to the different coloured / skill set slopes. They also had trail markers for trekking around. The views were fantastic from the top and you can see the lake from the top which would be awesome in the winter when it is icy. We saw on this site that you had to pay, but there was no one there to take the money and there was no barrier to prevent you walking in and around. It was very quiet with just a few people walking about. We did arrive before the "summer season" starts on 17th May, which may be why it was free!

    Great day out
We went to Blue Mountain Adventure Park for a day trip. We got the Play All Day pass. It is well worth it. You can pay $5 extra per pass for early entry ( 9am - 10am) We didn't go that route, and arrived approximately 9:30am. We were ready to que for the attractions at 10am then. The Ridge Runner was our favourite attraction.
