We had my son's 7th birthday party at the hotel and it was amazing!!! Everything was perfect! (Except the hot tub wasn't working, but no biggie) We all had an awesome time and I spent the night there with my son and two of his friends. So much fun! Lots of swimming and many memories!

Solid hotel and very predictable. We stay as they allow dogs but this time, the dog room given had clearly been a smoking room which we specifically asked not to be in which was disappointing. The breakfast offering has slipped considerably over the years and needs to bounce back.

Well probably still the best choice but so so at best. The hallway floors were dirty. Almost nothing available at the breakfast just toast one day and one day they had yogurt. The coffee was okay. The mattress was worn out and almost hallow in the middle.

Staying at hotel and nothing but grieve with front desk staff. There were three hockey teams staying there it's going to be loud and a bit crazy. Two of the three teams were able to use the common room during the evenings and the Saturday night the last team was not aloud in there. Just because something happened with the other two teams doesn't mean the other team should be punished for their actions. If they don't like kids or parents sitting around then don't rent your hotel out to hockey teams.

I liked the staff and they had a good breakfast. The wifi was very reliable. The rooms were fine but just a bit dated.

The rooms were clean, the staff was nice and the breakfast was ok (vanilla creamer!) but other than that the stay was a bust-- so said everyone in my family. The A/C was not working well so the room was hot and the breakfast area was super hot in the am. The elevator was not working and the staircase stunk. The hotel laundry was not working, so at first there were no towels for the pool (this was later rectified).
The pool was minimum 1 meter deep so my little kids could not swim without help (with no stairs in, just a ladder), though the temperature was ok.
The hot tub was too hot, my son stuck his legs in while I was getting out of the pool...I put my foot in and immediately told him to pull his legs out and they were so red I thought he got burnt.
Also, kids,were running laps on all floors playing games till 11:30 pm-- a parenting issue, not the hotels fault, but still irriatating! I am surprised staff did not stop it.
Too boot, it was the most expensive hotel of our entire trip, even with advaced booking and the town- really not much to see or do. Just a place to sleep...at least there were no bed bugs.

Stop here 1-2 times per year if space available. Great place to stop after crossing into Canada from Minnesota.

We normally stay at Holiday Inn Express, but Fort Frances does not have one. We found this property to be acceptable even though the complimentary breakfast was nowhere close to what we expect from HIE properties.

This will do the trick for a short stay in Fort Frances, however it is what it is, a Super 8. Staff on check in was lukewarm at best and the room was average, clean but worn. Ventilation was loud (both HVAC and bathroom exhaust fan)
