COVID precautions made the hotel look and feel clean and safe.
The staff were able to resolve a billing issue while I checked in and were caring and professional each time that I saw and spoke with them.
The location is incredible. Situated right on La Ramba you're in the middle of everything during the day and yet nothing at night. I stayed in a balcony room facing La Ramba and the noise at late night on the weekend was nothing more than a sanitation truck on it's route.
The room was the size of a decent one bedroom apartment (minus the kitchen area of course) and was a very reasonable price.
Would highly recommend and would stay nowhere else if I returned to Barcelona.

Friendly and helpful staff who helped with booking trips. Rooms fairly spacious compared to other major city hotels. Breakfast-plenty to choose from but the cooked breakfast ( bacon egg mushrooms) not that good. Room window did not close properly so at 4-30 to 5-00 in the morning noise of delivery people could be heard. The location is superb close to metro and Placa de Catalunya where touristic bus can be boarded— you can catch bus from airport to Univeritas and walk to Hotel

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel SERHS Rivoli Rambla on a recent trip to Barcelona. The staff here were friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated the little touches, like water and candy in the lobby. While the room was on the smaller size, it was enough space for two people, and was kept up well by the housekeeping staff. Our room was immaculate when we returned from sightseeing every day! The location is also great, and close to several metro stations. (While the area itself was very touristy, it’s good to note that the hotel entrance is keycard only access and well-lit.) We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights (2 adults + 1 child) during the end of July.
We booked a Double Comfort room with an extra bed + Buffet breakfast included
We arrived early at the hotel and left our luggage at the hotel touring the area while waiting for our room to be ready.
Our room had a scent of cigarettes as if someone was smoking in the room right before. Upon informing the reception we were told that while there's a non-smoking policy at the hotel the guests prior to us might have smoked in the room and there's not much they can do about it. Housekeeping came up to spray some air freshener and that was the most they can do. We ended up staying 4 nights - 5 days in a room that smells like cigarette smoke.
Midway into our vacation we asked for 2 more pillows and were told there's only one available (go figure).
Location of the hotel is fantastic just next to Playa Catalunya.
Breakfast buffet was nice and the staff is very friendly (while unable to always solve your problems)
We paid and average of 200 Euro per night and you can probably find something better at this price.

Reception staff were very friendly and gave us good recommendations for lunch. We arrived at 12 and were able to go to our room straight away, which was unexpected but really nice. The room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Some areas on the wall did have paint falling off but was not an issue overall, just needs some touching up. The only negative would be that the rooms are not very well soundproofed. There was a street performer outside and we could hear it with the windows shut, and could hear all movement in the corridor with the doors closed. The location was amazing - the A1/A2 buses to the airport are just a few minute walk away and the metro stop is only down the road so it is really easy to get around. It is only a few minutes away from the Boqueria market and there are heaps of food options right on the door step. We didn’t try the restaurant or the breakfast so I cannot comment but the water and sweets in the lobby were a nice touch. As a woman I felt really safe here, especially with the 24hr security and needing a key card to open the door and use the lifts. If I’m back in Barcelona I will be sure to stay again.

If you don't mind slamming doors and elevator arrival bells while relaxing in your bed, then this is the place for you.
Apart from these 2 issues the hotel is great with friendly staff and comfortable and clean rooms.
The elevator arrival bell rings 40 - 50 times per hour. Its like lying in bed and someone pushing your door bell constantly and you can't do anything about it. And basically every bedroom door slams when ppl arrive or leave their room. Its an orchestra of noise. Doesn't make it easy to relax or sleep for that matter.
I would suggest getting maintainance to correctly adjust the overhead door closers attached to every room door which will control the door as it closes,stopping them slamming. Also deactivate the elevator bell as it's totally unessesary and can be heard all over the hotel due to the interior design layout.

Our trip had to be canceled due to Covid-19. Spain would not allow Americans to enter the country and our cruise was canceled. Under these circumstances, I would expect a refund of the unused hotel room, especially since the stay was over 3 months in the future. They would not issue ANY refund. Definitely will not re-book with this hotel when we are able to travel next year.

The location is obviously ideal for exploring the city of Barcelona but the rooms are very old & tired. The photos on the booking site shows a much more modern hotel than reality. The bathroom in our room needs ripping out with a full refurbishment, to get in the shower you had to climb over a wide & tall side which is not good even for younger people. Breakfast was ok but could have been better.

Top location direct city centre. Easy approach from Airport via Aerobus (5 min walk). In front of hotel bus station to beaches and nearby metro to all sightseeing points.
Hotel and hotel rooms: Positive is that it is very cheap and rooms got a lot if space. Bed are clean.
But bathroom is dirty, not working. I do not like to touch sofa bed and pillows with a lot of stains.
In front of room door it is dirt, everywhere incl elevators. I think hotel toilets have not been cleaned since weeks.
Wlan for free, but not working.
Staff is ok, not friendly, but ok. Never ever a 4 star hotel.
My summary: If you got less money and looking for a one-night-hotel with good location you may choose this hotel. But I think there are much better places to stay in Barcelona.

I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. The cleaning was terrible, at least in our room. Bad installations both the sink and the toilet was broken. Water on the floor from the toilet. The sink was leaking with water after use. The cans in the minibar were really dirty.
The cleaning staff forgot normal things like toilet paper, so we had to ask for it.

Hi we had a room on the second floor overlooking the Ramblas
It had the biggest balcony,and it was great sitting there and watching the world go by
Saying that the room was looking tired as was the Hotel ,but it served the purpose

There was neither when we stayed there in May 2019. It is a very nice hotel with a great location. Good roof top bar.
Loads of taxis pass by all times of day and night. plus, public transport is great. not much need for taxis.
