I stayed here for two weeks. By the end of my stay I knew the stuff by their first name. They were very friendly and were happy to help me with anything that I needed. They have a great breakfast and have a wide variety of items every morning. On occasion you'll find cookies out on the counter in the evening. There is always a candy dish and a container with dog biscuits if you bring your pets. If you have any questions about attractions in the area they are only too happy to answer any questions you have. There is free wifi in the rooms but it doesn't always work. However, the WiFi in the lobby always seems to be working. I did not use the pool but others did and commented that it was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to families because it has great amenities for them. The only thing I can think of that could be improved is the room cleaning. While it was great when I got there the longer I stayed I noticed things they forgot to do.

I recently stayed overnight at the Super 8 in Fort Frances while in town for business. This is a relatively new building and it is well maintained. The rooms and the common areas are clean. The beds are comfortable. They could use some firmer pillows to be sure but the rooms are very nice. The wifi is dependanbe. The rooms are quiet. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The motel doesn't have a gym but you can use the fully stocked gym right next door. All in all you can't fault the Super 8 Fort Frances.

This was a pretty good hotel. However, compared to other hotels I've stayed at, I feel the continental breakfast could have had more options. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

Checked into the Super 8 for a one night stay and was very pleased! Rooms are spotless, bed was so comfortable and Kayla at the front desk helped me out when I forgot my toothbrush. Rooms come with spacious mini fridges and all other standard amenities. Breakfast in the morning was great - lots of options, but the DIY waffle station is the clear winner!
There is also a pool and hot tub but I didn't have time to enjoy either. Next time for sure!

Super 8 Fort Frances Hotel fulfilled the items we look for in a hotel. A friendly front desk staff efficient with check us in and out. The room its self was fine, not the Holiday Inn, but clean. If anything, I would recommend new mattresses and furniture for the rooms. Time is showing!!! Internet would come and go. Very much enjoy the breakfast.

Check in was bad, we had booked an upgraded room as we had stayed there last year and it was not great. They told us there was no such thing as an upgraded room there but we had a print out saying we did. The pool was so bad it should be closed down. Slimy and worse food around the pool tiles and water everywhere. No pool towels at all and this is at three in the afternoon with a hockey tounement in town. Although there was a sign stating persons under twelve required an adult to supervise it was not happening. When I questioned your staff about pool towel she just replied that there were none. Surely,with this tournament and other guests your hotel would and should have been much better prepared. Having a print out aging we had an upgraded room meant nothing since they don't exist. I f there was a better place to stay I would have been there. Can hardly wait until the old adventure inn is finished being remodelled . If you don't clean up you hotel no- one will be staying there. You have great staff who seem to want to help, but they are obviously understaffed and have no give, and nothing to work with.although,we have to go to Fort Frances fairly often,we have had bad experiences with your hotel..... Next time I guess we will have to stay in International Falls. I don't understand why the Whyndham Group would want you under their name. I shall be sending them a short Note saying much the same..D.Martinson.

Thank you for your taking the time to review our hotel. The kids staying here for hockey must have been having a super fun time in the pool if all the towels were used up, which may also explain as to why the pool was less than pristine. Although we do have a bin in the pool area for discarded pool towels, they sometimes get brought up to guest rooms, which leaves our front desk staff short of the pool towels. During Checking-out from previous Stay I commented on the frequent inter- ruptions with the Internet Service. I stated that Room 108 receives the Internet Signal consistently, but other rooms do not. I indicated that I needed uninterrupted access to the Internet for Business Purposes.
Liz, the Manager, promised me Room 108 for the next week's Visit, and future visits. I requested that she Book me Room 108 for the next two weekly Visits.
Upon Check-in I was informed that not only was I not in Room 108, but the following Week I did not have a Room Booked for my regular weekly visit. the Desk Clerk shrugged off my distress regarding potential difficulty accessing the Internet and stated that they could not put me in Room 108.
Not only could I have been, and should have been, in Room 108, but the Room I was in did not have Internet Access.
Their Internet that I can access has a weak signal. Their other Internet has a strong signal, but there is a problem with the set-up and certification. If they do not repair this problem and continue to put me in rooms without Internet Access, I will be forced to Book into another Hotel. This would represent about 40+ nights per year that they would lose from just one Business Guest.
This Hotel seems to accomodate partying adults that accompany Sport-Teams, yet they are unable to deliver on their promises and will lose Business Guests. It appears that they prefer to have Guests that disrespect their Hotel!

Front desk staff in the evening and night were very friendly and accommodating. Sunday day desk staff were short and abrupt especially about check out. There was an entire hockey team, and I don't think cleaning staff were going to clean 17 rooms at once. Our room was cleaned only 1 day out of 3, but did have clean towels. Pool was not very clean or the hot tub. Was full of green slim

I've always had very sub-par experiences with overnight stays on the way to fishing-until now. The location is very convenient and easy to find, with Boston Pizza next door. Check-in was a breeze and Nickie (by the way, an absolutely beautiful young lady) was very helpful guiding us to a grocery store, bait shop and place where we could get a nightcap after a long drive.
Our room was clean and without bedbugs. It was nicely furnished with the amenities of a fridge and free Wi-Fi. The shower was adequate.
As with all modest hotel chains, the breakfast had mostly high-carb, but filling, choices. The eating area was clean.
Super 8, by far, is the best place to stay if traveling up to Northwest Ontario...better than anything in International Falls or Kenora...and after 15 or so trips...I've stayed in them all!
