Scary stains in bedclothes, dirty towel, chilling rom at 15C AC, arrived late and took me 30 mins with open windows to warm the room!!
Nice service but did nothing to explain or compensate: This is not acceptable in a hostel, much less in a 4 star hotel in an affluent Barcelona area.
Not to say that room full-wall cristal windows were completlly blocked by courtains because they were ground level to an open terrace: natural light or privacy.
No client profiling at all ... Never again.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times when going to IESE Business School. Selected it initially for its location near IESE, but kept coming back for the excellent service.
The hotel is located somewhat away from the primary attractions, but it is nonetheless in a very nice location, a bit up the hill in a nice part of the city. The hotel is within an easy walking distance of a little neighborhood called Sarria, which has restaurants, shops and cafes. Then, when it is time to see the various other attractions in Barcelona, it is fairly easy to get there by public transportation or taxi.
The rooms in the hotel are comfortable and clean. The bed is quite good and the bathroom is reasonably sized. The common area is nicely laid out, offering a bar, various seating options and a nice ambiance.
But what really sets this hotel apart is the excellent service and the very positive attitude of the staff there. The staff make the guests feel very welcome at the hotel, not only when arriving or departing but throughout the stay. Furthermore, they genuinely want to help with any questions or concern one may have. They do not hesitate to spend quite some time to help out with restaurant recommendations, directions, suggestions and advice. And they are sufficiently well staffed that they can do this without causing a disruption in regular services. Many fancy hotels would do well to bring their service up to the level of this hotel.

I spent two nights at this place this month and absolutely loved it. Rooms are relatively simple, but still of nice quality, the bar / restaurant are very nicely decorated, but the stand-out is the staff performance. I have not been welcomed so warmly by any hotel in years. Somebody here knows how to manage the hotel, and it's staff, to make it very welcoming and lovely. They could not have been better. Only downside is no gym on site, though they have a nice spa. Location is not directly directly center, which for me as a business person didn't matter (I just to a taxi to my meetings) but for a tourist might matter more. It isn't far though -- 10 minutes max in a taxi to the center, and there's a bus and taxis are not expensive. But this is the first hotel I have been in for a long time I was sad to leave.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference at the IESE business school. For that purpose, it was a truly fantastic hotel. A great bargain for the money. The room was small, but very well kept up and comfortable. The location was very close to IESE, but farther from many Barcelona attractions. Easy access to public transit, but expect to walk a bit on hills unless you're willing to pay for a cab. If you had mobility issues or planned to spend most of your time downtown, the location may be problematic. If you're working at IESE it's the best you can find.

The most impressive part of the stay was the service, which was second to none. The staff was friendlier and more helpful than I've seen anywhere else in Europe. It was very clear that they wanted their guests to have a great stay, and were committed to doing whatever they could to achieve that.

Breakfast was included, and it was a very nice European breakfast - as I'm from the U.S. I don't particularly care for European breakfasts, but given the style it was perfectly fine. I would definitely stay here again if I were traveling to Barcelona.

hotel is nice, perfect location to access IESE north or south campus, rooms are with good size , but room services are very bad they did not change bed sheets for 5 days though i asked for that many times !!!!!, minibar items are overpriced, one downside is that neighborhood has no dining option and you have to take taxi to center which is 7 min by taxi , staff are friendly, breakfast is basic will stay again only for IESE

Friendly staff, but rooms are small, and it is a taxi ride away from the fun parts of Barcelona. It is across the street from Esade, so if you need to be near the business school, it couldn't be more convenient.

This is a beautiful hotel,
but the service is lacking if you don't speak any Spanish. Not one of the staff speaks a word of English.
Consequently, we couldn't find out if the hotel has the facilities as stated on the website, reception was not aware if there is a gym/sauna, or if there is, where in the hotel it is...
we couldn't get any room service, despite it supposedly being available all afternoon until 11pm.
A very very disappointing experience, despite the lovely hotel building and room.
I would think that a hotel that markets itself towards English speaking customers should make an effort to employ staff that have a basic understanding of the language.

I just stayed at this hotel while visiting the UPC campus which is very nearby. If you are visiting UPC, this hotel is in an outstanding location, <5 minute walk from campus.

The lobby and rooms are modern and stylish. My room was not large, but it was very modern and nicely appointed. The bathroom was gorgeous. The room overall had everything I needed, including free wireless internet.

The most remarkable thing about this hotel is the staff. They go out of their way to help. When I arrived, the checkin process took only moments, and almost as quickly they had brought a fresh cup of coffee to my room. At checkout, they had my luggage into a taxi for the airport within about a minute of me appearing in the lobby. They are clearly well-trained, and it was a nice experience.

Stayed here recently for €75 per night / double room. Pretty good value.
The rooms were modern and well appointed with effective air-con and the staff, who speak excellent English, were friendly and helpful.
Buffet breakfast, while of good quality, was pretty steep at €14 per person.
The main thing about this hotel is that it is quite far out of town and, although the bus service is pretty good, the most frequent bus (No. 22) takes a good 30 minutes to get into the centre, while the nearest metro station a 20 minute walk away. One advantage is that Barcelona Bus Turistic, which brings you to all the major tourist attractions, stops at the nearby Monastir de Pedralbes. Taxi fare to the city-centre is about €8-11, depending on traffic.
As noted in a previous review, however, the distance from the city-centre does mean that the hotel has nice views of the mountains. There's also a decent shopping centre on the Avinguda Diagonal near the metro station.

Overall, we found the Sansi Pedralbes to be a decent base if a little too far from the city-centre; going back there every evening before heading back in to town for dinner, clubbing etc. was an hour-long round trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Barcelona, and we will be back.

One of my favourite hotel stays yet! The hotel was nice, the rooms clean and beautiful, and my private access to a beautiful terrasse welcome - but it was truly the service that made a lasting impression on me.

The hard working young couple taking care of the guests could not have been more charming and kind, providing over-the-top services from changing bookings last minute, insisting on making me my favourite iced-coffee to-go every morning, or assisting me with travel difficulties. With them, every guest feels like their highest priority and friend, and it made my travel experience so much more enjoyable!

The hotel is also located right next to two beautiful restaurants, where we had some amazing food, and a nice little park. It is also only a short drive from the airport and although it is very complicated to get a taxi in the Barcelona city center, I was always lucky to find one right in front of the hotel. Public transport also stops right in front of it.
