While this is a newly renovated property we were less than impressed by the front of house staff and the layout of the rooms. A clear glass screen between the bathroom and the bedroom sections meant that even sitting on the loo lacked any privacy - this may well be sold as something for couples over a romantic weekend but there is nothing romantic about sitting on the loo! The front of house staff were generally lacking in empathy when guests found themselves robbed of their possessions by petty street thieves and needing to make emergency arrangements. One front of house staff member was deliberately rude, leaving guests waiting for service while she flirted with an arriving male guest. All in all this was not a property to which I would return.

I have to say i was very disappointed with the hotel . Its quite shoddy and not very clean and needs maintenance and cleaning. Though the staff at the reception are absolutely fantastic and very helpful and friendly and the breakfast is very good!

Hotel is at a decent location, staff members were really friendly and helpful, facilities were good and the price was fair. I personally didn’t like the shape of the pillows, but everything else was fine.

It was my second stay in the hotel. The building was renewed, they have a very good staff and we stayed in an excelent suite. The breakfast was helthful, with many options and good price. The hotel is near two subway stations and bus service. Generous shower and nice WC.

I have expected (knowing that this was four stars hotel) a litle more luxury. I fact it was a good city hotel, preferably for touristic purpouse. Could you imagine a room for two persons, without a single chair? The location of the hotel seems to be perfect, but - in fact - public transport in this area is not very convenient.

As a devoted member of Accor for years, I was surprised this has has slipped into the group. Understaffed desk were brevity in interactions is their protocol, closet lobby, decomposing furniture from the 70s, an underwhelming gym, breakfast only restaurant, no bar, and a singular creaky elevator. I also hate showers where you need the maid to come in and figure it out. You can rate this a 2 star at best at a 4 star price. It was a major mistake to stay there and not recommended at all.

Inefficient check in personnel. It required half an hour to check-in the previous group of 6 guests because the clerk was providing to them touristic advice that they did NOT ask. I pointed to him that I was waiting already 20 minutes and he required extra 10 minutes to google search the location of a restaurant for the previous group... No recognition as Silver member, no welcome drink as in Accorhotels program. To my question if they offer something as welcome upon arrival to Silver members and half an hour of waiting, the answer is that they don’t have a bar and if I would like a drink I could always pay for the drinks of the minibar in the room. The worst part is that the supposedly “superior” room with balcony was just 16sq.mt facing the intersections of an avenue with low sound proofing and one of the worst mattresses I’ve ever slept. Hard mattress with no upper part + only stiff long narrow pillows, which are nice for decoration but offer no head&neck support. No option for other regular pillows. Sleep comfort is a critical factor and it was disastrous to wake up with headaches and muscles back pain. The only positive was the very good breakfast. Variety and replenishment very satisfying.

We´re glad that you´ve enjoyed our rich breakfast buffet which is the best rated breakfast of the whole Mercure chain in Spain and Portugal! We do not doubt that it was an inconvenience for you to wait some minutes at arrival, unfortunately no silver status allows you to skip the line if there are other people waiting who have arrived first. Actually, you were informed that you could either have your welcome drink form the minibar or at the lobby, it´s a pity that you´ve missunderstood this. We assume this was a language missunderstanding of course. And yes, indeed we do not have welcome drink vouchers, which doesn´t make you any less entitled to it. You´re very welcome to have more drinks after your welcome drink, but yes, indeed, they´re chargeable. We do not understand the "mattress with no upper part" comment. Do you mean a blanket or a duvet? They´re inside the closet in the room. Next time please do not hesitate and ask the reception. You´re also entitled to have extra pillows if you wish, you only need to kindly ask. Since you´ve been sensitive to noise and you haven´t enjoyed the balcony, we encourage you to look up other kind or rooms because not all of them are the same! We have interior rooms which are very calm, you could book a standard room and request this kind of room before arrival, it would depend on our availability but we will do our best to give it to you! I stayed here for 4 nights. For 3 of the nights the lock on my door didn't lock, and raised it to the staff a total of 6 times requesting to be moved to another room. On the final night, the eventually got the lock fixed, but by that stage it was too late.
The rooms are small in size, but found them to be generally clean. 99% of rooms face onto the street and found it quite loud and had difficulty sleeping as a result.
It's location for me was a little out of the way, but the area itself was safe at night. The breakfast was nice. The staff were generally helpful (although no one actually really took ownership of my lock problem, and Pablo the recipient was totally rude on the final night when I asked why it has taken so long and why I was not moved as requested.)
Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it? No. There's hundreds of better options out there if you look around.

Third stay in this little design hotel. The northern stylish furniture at the lobby, really warm, that continued in our room. Waiting for our room while having a just made hot coffee, seeing raining in the city made us have the warm welcome expected.
It all continued next morning, perfect breakfast. Superb staff at reception, made us best tips to see the city.And all surronded by a good neighbourhood ,full of cafes to discover, and perfect connection with city centre. Will come back again !!

Managua, Nicaragua243 contributions77 helpful votesPlease need to know: if there is a grocery store/supermarket close to the hotel and a tapas bar near the hotel that you can recommend or late entertainment Thank you.
When you come out of the hotel, cross the street and turn right. 100m further you will find a night and day shop where you can fin ALL you want.
If you go 200m further, you will arrive at a square where you will find the subway station and 5 restaurants. Be careful, when I was there ( March), they closed at 10pm.

1. Taking AEROBUS (5.9€ VAT included/pp) from any terminal airport, will arrive to "Plaça Catalunya" and then crossing back the square, take any line (L6, S1, S2) from FGC(Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya - directly to "Muntaner" station. Therefore, just walk for 3 minutes arriving to the hotel.
2. From the Terminal 2 you should take train (Renfe), get off in "Sants" station and change to line 5 Metro (blue) until "Diagonal" station and change again to Ferrocarrils (L6, S1, S2) and get off in "Muntaner" station.
Then, walking around 3 minutes by Via Augusta will arrive to the hotel.
Remember: Metro and train lines, work until midnight. Other option, from Sants station you can take a taxi to the hotel (around 10€ approx.).
Traveling from the airport station, buy a T-10 card (10 travel – 10.30€) is valid to travel in all metro and train system.
