Nestled in a prime location near Lake Louise and ski resorts, the Lake Louise Inn is commended by guests for its accessibility to local attractions, although there are calls for room renovations. While the cleanliness of the hotel garners praise, opinions on the rooms are mixed, with some guests finding them outdated and noisy. The hotel offers an array of amenities, yet the value for money is often questioned, as some deem the accommodations overpriced. Service quality and the atmosphere of the hotel receive varied feedback, highlighting an inconsistency that impacts guest experiences.

We stayed here as a family, we were lucky that we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom condo, which was amazing. It was just a shame we were only staying one night as we were not able to make the most of all the facilities. The evening meal was good, but the breakfast buffet was out of this world, wow what a selection, everything you could think of to eat for breakfast

We chose the Lake Louise Inn for its proximity to the ski hill. It is only a 5 minute drive or free shuttle bus ride from the ski hill so a perfect location.
We ate supper at both the pub and pizza/pasta restaurants onsite and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Breakfast at the onsite Legends restaurant was also very good. The vast breakfast buffet contained the usual eggs, bacon, cereal, etc but also had mini omelettes, smoked salmon, cottage cheese, lots of fresh fruit and pastries so there is something for everyone. Look at the "Specials" on the Lake Louise Inn website when booking. At the time of our stay the Legends restaurant breakfast buffet or menu breakfasts were available for $1.00.
Our room was in the main lodge which is a great location for accessing the 3 onsite restaurants without having to put on your coat and boots. The room was clean and comfortable but had thin walls - we could hear the person in the adjoining room coughing. There is a decent sized mini fridge in the room.
There were many people enjoying the pool and two hot tubs however we didn't have time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Staff were constantly cleaning the lobby floors and hallways of salt and grit brought inside. Appeared that the inn is well maintained.
For those using the Inn for skiing, note that the Inn has ski storage. When you get to the Lodge at the base of the hill it has open shelves for storing your lunch/boots, etc or day lockers for rent $5 or $10 depending on size. There is a big free parking lot or valet parking at the ski hill or free parking on the road beside the ski lodge.

Dear Gord, Thank you so much for your lovely review! It is our greatest pleasure to hear that our services were adequate, and enjoyed so thoroughly. Wow! It sounds like you got to try practically everything we have to offer! I apologise that the rooms weren't more soundproof than you would have liked, but otherwise I am so pleased that you had such a great time. We take great pride in our location, as well as our service, and I am so pleased that you were able to enjoy everything we have to offer. You’ll be pleased to hear that we have a lot of very exciting things happening at the Lake Louise Inn over the next months and years, including full-scale renovations and many other programs and services we will be rolling out shortly. I’d also love to discuss any possible return to the property, and would love to let you know about some special offers we have just for you, and others we will have available. In the last 12 months we have stayed here 5 times (11 nights); we keep returning because we really enjoy it. We generally stay in the most inexpensive rooms (double bed and sofa in building 4), which works well for two adults and two dogs. Building 4 is not fancy, and it isn’t new, but it is clean and warm. We spent a longer stay in the junior suite, that room was newly renovated and had a nice kitchen with all matter of supplies for cooking available. The restaurants onsite are tasty and not unreasonably priced (for where we are). Our last two visits have been during covid, while restaurants were allowed to be open, we found the restaurant to be well spaced and very clean. There seemed to be one employee whose sole job was to walk around with a spray bottle sanitizing stuff. All in all one of our favorite places to stay in the mountains!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at the Lake Louise Inn in August. The location is perfect for exploring Banff national park and provides stunning views of Mt Temple nearby.

Having been car camping and backcountry camping for the previous week we really appreciated the Hotel’s modern and stylish amenities. I had booked a room to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and the staff did everything they could to make our stay even better - providing us with a spacious and comfortable room and even arranging a birthday card with a breakfast voucher to greet us upon our arrival!

We ate dinner and breakfast at the Legends restaurant in the hotel. The food was great and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I was particularly impressed by the all the staff working the breakfast shift (08/21/20) - They did an awesome job dealing with the busy rush of customers and managing some very rude guests in a professional manner.

Overall a lovely experience! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Lake Louise. Would also be great for families.

Overpriced motel and poor customer service. buildings don’t have elevators so enjoy hauling your stuff up 4 flights once you find the right building. Also, they charge $8 to do a load of laundry in the laundry room and you need 8 loonies which they refuse to put on your room. Don’t forget the resort fee!

Dear R W, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Though it is disappointing when one of our guest's stay is so lackluster, it gives us the rare opportunity to seek information that can help us improve. We do wish that we were made aware of your dissatisfaction while you were in residence with us in order for us to rectify the issues. Laundry facilities are provided by a third party company and charging the laundry to the room is unfortunately not possible. We very much value any additional feedback you can provide. Feel free to reach out to me any time at fom@lakelouiseinn.com, as well as if you do decide to stay with us again.

A big thank you to all the staff.
Everyone was very friendly and went above and beyond to make my birthday day at Lake Louise a special occasion.
Our room was impeccable and had everything that we needed, including a full kitchen with all the items needed to prepare meals.
Lots of room for 7 people and a nice storage area under the stairs to keep the room tidy.

Mu husband didn't want to stay here because he said the price was too low and was worried about the level of cleanliness etc... I convinced him and it was PERFECT! Breakfast was included (full menu), it was clean, quiet for sleeping, we could open the window for fresh air and we even had a view. We ate in the pub for dinner and restaurant for breakfast. Both were excellent. I recommend Lake Louise Inn

Our trip through Lake Louise was one-way and likely once in a lifetime. After a beautiful drive through the Ice Fields Hwy, we rested for one evening in Lake Louise. This was at the beginning of the Covid-19 lock down, so the guests were few and the amenities none. Checking in was friendly and efficient and we were given good choices for room delivery, but decided on home cooked yakisoba. So let's focus on the room.
The room was in a chalet style building adjacent to the main check in. Once inside, our room had everything. At first glance, it was not opulent. But everything was clean as a whistle. In a pandemic, that is what you look for first. The room was not huge, but it could sleep 7. The king size bed was in a separate room with its own TV and a large desk nicely located in an alcove. The pictures and furniture were first class.
In the living area, the main television was huge and directly above a beautiful electric fireplace. With 6 feet of snow in the backyard, warmth is a must and our room was cozy. I examined the room and appreciated the attention to detail. A beautiful fabric curtain wrapped around the windows and door on a smooth curved track. The kitchen was modern with a beautiful back splash and our yakisoba turned out great.
After our 9 hour drive from Prince George, I couldn't resist taking a bath in the deep tub. This room had everything and was the first oasis on our journey home.
Thank you!

You can bike along the trails that lead from town up to the lake but it’s uphill the whole way. There are a mixture of trails to get up, but some are more suitable for going on foot, as there are staircases. You can find trail maps online or at the visitors centre in town.
