+ We arrived at about 12 and despite check in not being until 3pm, our room was ready! This was great as it meant we could drop our stuff off and get out into the city!
+ the staff were great - so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. I'd like to say a big thank you to them.
- The only negative was that our room was quite noisy - we were above the electric doors in reception and we could hear them every time they opened. There was also a bad smell in the room. To the credit of the reception staff, when I told them about the problem they could not have been more apologetic. They moved me into a different room without any issue.
Really enjoyed our stay - shame it was only for one night...

Just came back from a long weekend in Barcelona, where we stayed at the Andante. The hotel is in a good location, about 4 mins walk from La Ramblas and the same distance to the nearest tube station. The staff were very friendly and informative, a special thanks to Barry who worked upstairs on the 11th floor at the bar who kept us topped up and gave us a great service. The roof top terrace is very impressive and can imagine very busy in summer. The hotel is spotless and well kept. The room we had was a great size and the shower / bathroom very modern and large too. Really can’t complain about this hotel, especially for the money we paid! A few areas that could improve the stay would be..
1) Tea / Coffee and a kettle in the room (maybe a British thing)
2) good iron and ironing board, the one from reception wasn’t a steam iron and the iron board was a mini one
3) A bar in the downstairs reception area would be a welcome addition

We travelled with friends in April 2016. Ideally positioned in central Barcelona, this excellent value hotel is in a good convenient area - 5 minutes or so, walk to the Ramblas and similar to Columbus Statue (for bus tour stop) as well as Metro.
Rooms modern, clean and a good size although, if we’d been staying longer than 4 nights we’d have needed more hangers / shelves in the wardrobe.
Our showers were hot. Shower room had hairdryer. In room safe was free.
Breakfast had an adequate (but not gourmet) selection of hot and cold food, tea, coffee and juices (no eggs fried or omelettes made to order, I’m afraid) . This set us up well for our days out
If you want you can sit in courtyard outside the restaurant.
A highlight for us was the small rooftop area with panoramic views of the city – great to sit with a drink looking at where we’d spent the day and also watch the departing cruise ships in the distance and the cable cars climbing to Montjuic. There is no bar in the hotel but Vending machines on ground and 11th floor had cold drinks, some snacks plus coffee on ground. Ice was available near reception.
Also, hotel is across the road from an Express supermarket open ‘til late – ideal for drinks and provisions for room and roof! . Almost next door to an Indian restaurant and a cafe/bar where we had late evening coffees.
Security was good with access to hotel, lifts and rooms by electronic card. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. We’re pleased we chose this hotel

My wife and I stayed here three nights while visiting several of Barcelona's sightseeing spots. Andante was chosen because of its location. We like to walk and all we wanted to see, was in walking distance for us. Trip and return to La Sagrada Familia was also done by foot. Subway stations and bus stop were anyway close by.
Our double rom was of good size and well furnished. Their biosphere responsible status, definitely was a positive element. Service from the staff in the reception was excellent, and the cleaning was just perfect. For breakfast there was a generous selection of toppings, spreads and juices, bacon and scrambled eggs also available. There were no bar or evening restaurant at the hotel. But La Rambla and the old city with numerous of them, was close by. In addition the seaside and Barcelonetta with another set of restaurants and bars, with offers of delicious seafood as well, added to the choice. With a mini bar in the room, since there was no bar in the hotel, we would have rated this hotel excellent. but honestly, even without the minibar this hotel itself, was in class with excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much.

It is amazing to know that you found our location the ideal for your purposes and that breakfast was excellent according to your liking. Regarding the minibar, it is true that they are not available in hotel rooms since three star hotels do not require to have them. However, there is a fridge at reception that can be used 24/7. In addition, in a few days we will have the re-opening of our bar located on the 11th floor. Anyway, as usual, we will keep your comments into consideration for future improvement in our hotel rooms. Can't complain with the hotel. It is clean, modern, close to the centre of las ramblas and the staff at the front desk are fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing we would say is the top pool bar fills up very quick and there was not much room. I would suggest turning the downstairs outside area into some kind of bar area with snacks that could be cooked in the breakfast kitchen. This would add another dynamic to the hotel and would probably increase my raring by another star

Agree with all others. It was around the 13 euro price point and not worth it (converted to USD) for what was offered. Head out to a local cafe or market and enjoy the culture, people and people watching!
